I just called Bien HOA to place a Togo order. I ordered the Fried Wontons Appetizer, and the Beef Delight. All I asked was for the vegetables to be on the side. A very simple request. I'm about to spend $15+ at a restaurant for something that I want. The owner/order taker told me that it doesn't look professional and he wouldn't do it. Who cares? It's in a Togo box for me to enjoy in the comfort of my own home. Pretty good food, but now I know why a guests was upset the last time I was there. The crew at Bien HOA needs to relax and take care of the guests. I wouldn't be back!!! read more

This is a nice little place if you do not feel like traveling far. They have great Pho and chicken with vegetables. Great service and fast. Their rice is very good. Highly recommend to try if you live in the Hutto area, definitely worth it if you do not feel like driving. read more

Beef and broccoli and sesame chicken both just bad. Dry flavorless fried rice with mush for texture. Dirty seats and not busy. So sad still driving to Round Rock for decent Chinese food. read more

I moved here from San Antonio and could never find a good place for Chinese food. This place rocks. Its a little pricey but they give you a lot of food and its so good. One dish feeds two. I order to go once a week. Egg rolls, dumplings and eggdrop soup are a must. read more

Biên Hòa is a wonderful name for this little restaurant because it is Très Bien & Muy Bien! ..Pardon the French/Spanish play on words..but this is indeed a VERY good Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant! They have a vast menu selection, their servings are extremely generous, and their service is fast and very friendly! Hutto is a small town, so we were delighted when Biên Hòa opened its' doors here as there are no other restaurants nearby that offer this type of cuisine! Since they were (and still are) the closest restaurant of its' kind, we were really hoping that it would be a good quality place. They certainly didn't disappoint! We are very lucky to have this little gem here! We've only eaten inside once or twice..it's a small, simple dining area but this is our Fav place for take-out!! In fact, I'm a bit under the weather as of late, and my sweet Hubby just walked through the door with an armful of yummy Biên Hòa! Been in a few times and have never left disappointed. The food is good and it comes with enough to bring home leftovers.

In the area this is it and it's pretty good. They have a typical lunch menu in the $7 range that comes with soup, egg roll, and rice. All the soups (egg drop, hot and sour, wanton) are excellent. I love the beef with broccoli, moo goo, and shrimp with garlic sauce. Haven't had the more authentic stuff, but it seems to be popular when dining in. Service is always excellent and friendly. Overall a good experience with good food. read more

So my friend and I were out in Hutto today taking photos and I realized I hadn't eaten and we also wanted to cool off from the insane heat. We see this place and I immediately think, "Huzzah! Vietnamese sounds great right now!" I also saw it was chinese, but figured the two would be separate on the menu. Well, they sure did separate the two on the menu, a vietnamese section and a chinese.. but after ordering what I normally do at vietnamese restaurants, (Bún thit nuong cha giò; grilled pork & vietnamese egg roll w/ vermicelli) and once it arrived at my table I thought, okay, this doesn't look right.. The pork was cooked chinese style, lots of oil, tons of fatty pieces, and big long strips of onion and the egg roll was chinese style! If you've ever had vietnamese egg rolls, there's no way in hell you'd want a chinese style egg roll anywhere near your Bún.. so it was more like vietnamese/chinese fusion which was a huge disappointment. But they do give you an insanely hefty amount of noodles and the fish sauce is good and vietnamese style.. which was the only vietnamese thing about the dish. How sad. It was just weird having my two favorite things about that particular dish replaced with mediocre chinese style substitutes. I also feel like their prices are a bit high considering the quality of their meat and egg rolls. Just go to the Subway or Rio Grande in the same shopping center if you're hungry, this place... it ain't so great. read more

The food was bland and was really disappointing. The service woman was not very friendly either. For the price I was expecting much better. We had the crab Rangoon for starters. They barely had any filling and what there was didn't taste all that great. I had the happy family for the main course. The sauce was not typical for this type of restaurant and was more like brown gravy from a packet without being mixed well. My daughters food looked the same as Pho Huang but was not even close in taste. I would not recommend this place at all. read more

I love this place so much! If I am in Hutto visiting family (which is almost every weekend) we will stop here to eat. The owners are so nice and friendly and the food is delicious! The chicken fried rice is my favorite. My boyfriend loves the pho and my children are crazy about the lo mein here. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is because of the younger waitress that works here. She is not friendly at all and seems miserable working here,and she gets frustrated when you ask for her assistance or drink re fills. Will that keep me from coming back or leaving a good tip??? No way! Because like a stated before, everyone else here is wonderful and super friendly. read more

I've been here 2 or 3 times and enjoyed it, but yesterday's lunch was not quite up to par. My Buddha Delight with tofu had just 2 bits of broccoli, and it was cold. My daughter's cashew chicken was "ok." I'm sure we'll eventually go back, but consistency in a restaurant is important. read more

For 3 years living in Hutto this was a great place to eat, excellent Egg Foo Young, tasty Chinese dishes. All around good experience. What happened? Did the owners change? Today I had a complaint for the first time. The Twice Cooked Pork was way too spicy. I called to let them know Ok took a while for them to understand why I was calling... but then again, I have an accent and so did he. He offered to remake the dish. Story should end right here, and 5 stars in the order. Once I returned to the Restaurant I was (not) greeted by the lady at the counter with a look that could kill, No" I'm sorry for your trouble" or any thing like this. Instead "Twice Cooked Pork? Here" At that time a man, I think the guy who took my order and offered to re-cook, comes out of the kitchen and is like "You did not bring the other one?" I was stunned and was like, "Do you want me to get it?" and he "No, just asking", again no I'm sorry or any acknowledgment of having done something wrong. I left the restaurant and while driving of the parking lot felt embarrassed first, for being treated like I was trying to score a free meal and then getting mad. I returned for what will be my last time to the Restaurant and gave them back there precious pork. Guess they gained a meal and lost a customer. Final note, If you are looking for good food and can't drive outside of Hutto, good luck, it might work out for you. Just never, never ever complain about there food. read more

Place was clean enough and you can tell its a family owned resturant. I ordered the Seseme Chicken Lunch Special. Good Iced Tea but everything elase was bad. Not sure what the fried rice is suppose to be but its just yellow rice. The chicken was dry and did not taste like traditional Seseme Chicken way too much Hoisen sause involved not sure. Eggroll was overly greasy and thats saying something for something that id deep fried. I think the only thing keeping this place going is no real competition in the area. read more

Bien Hoa is a little gem in Hutto that some have overlooked. I have eaten here since they opened and my family and I always found the food excellent. Their prices are very good and they give both quality and quantity. The green ice tea is very refreshing and different. If you are used to mass produced, frozen "Chinese" entrees from the grocery store you may not be used to the quality to be found here, but I highly recommend this restaurant. The owners are a delightful couple and work hard to please their cutomers. read more

This is a really great spot for Vietnamese / vermicelli, and the standard oriental dishes aren't bad either (bot not quite as good). It's a small diner, the wait staff is attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable. If you want standard style food like sesame chicken, kung pao, etc. it's not bad here but there are probably other restaurants where the focus is on that and not the Vietnamese. read more

Food and service are excellent. Love the hot and sour soup. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. My favorite hot sauce on the table in big bottles (Schirracha). Love the cement stained floors. One negative is the dirty bathrooms. So, make sure your hands are washed and you don't need to use the restroom. I wanted to clean the bathroom. read more

Hmm, I was just not impressed with the food here. I am not sure what that style of fried rice is, but it was yellow, and did not have much taste. I think I prefer about any other Vietnamese restaurant that I have ever eaten at. I will probably try it again to see if I was just there on a bad night. read more

Best shrimp pho around, better then the well known Round Rock location.

As the only asian restaurant in Hutto. It is decent. It is a good place to have decent food on a week night :-)
