    Pho meat (not fresh)
    Lucy V.

I would recommend staying away from the non-Chinese items. I've had bad luck with Thai and Vietnamese food. Most recently I got some bad Pho meat and even the fresh ginger item which is pretty decent, was crowded with huge pieces of over matured broccoli.

This isn't fried and maybe not even rice.

I ordered the crispy walnut dish with chicken. The walnuts weren't crispy at all. I suspect they were raw and were only warm because they were tossed into the dish when it was hot. Sorry, but no. It was also swimming in a super bland "soup" of strange brown sauce that tasted like thick sugar water with a weird combo of broccoli and undercooked green beans combined with frozen food service bulk carrots and celery. Practically flavorless. Just strange. If you're watching your sodium intake, you might like this as it had zero salt. The fried rice isn't fried rice. It's steamed or cooked rice with some sort of yellow element added and nothing else. Seems like a RICE restaurant would be able to manage a signature dish, but ‍. Egg drop soup? Meh. Egg roll? Meh. And no fortune cookies? Come on. Really? How are you a Chinese restaurant in America without proper fried rice and fortune cookies? The man at the counter wasn't particularly friendly, but at least he didn't yell at me like some others have reported.

    Dinner Sesame Chicken

First time trying this place, had been seeing them pop up on UberEats after their closing time and finally decided to call to confirm and yes they really are open til 4am. Called in my order, we had combo fried rice, chicken fried rice, sesame chicken and cream cheese puffs. The only reason I couldn't give the full 5 stars is because I'd requested no veggies in the fried rice and fried rice instead of steamed with the sesame chicken but they got that wrong..no big deal but little things matter. Portions were big..big enough to sneak some fried rice from each and not be missing any food lol. Will def return and glad to know that they are open late. The service wasn't good nor bad..it was a brief interaction so nothing to really write about there.

The Viet Rice Bowl with the grilled pork is solid, especially for $10. Walked in, got my rice, guy at the front was cool enough, 10/10.

I ordered their pho with meatball and 2 orders of their beef on the side. Their pho only has one size which I assume is their large, cuz it's huge! It comes with 3 meats of your choosing. I thought I ate a ton, but when I was close to full, it looked like I didn't eat any at all. My husband ordered their B1 grilled pork and fried eggroll vermicelli bowl. Safe to say, this place has texas sized portions! We will definitely be back cuz I always crave pho when it's rainy season. There were only 2 servers who were constantly running around, due to a large party; but they were very attentive. Lots of seating, pretty spacious restaurant!

No need to deal with traffic going down south if you live around near Dell area. This restaurant was closed for months but we didn't notice any renovation as a result. This is another restaurant where you see Vietnamese families eating so you know this joint is legit. I've had the bun bo hue and the bun rieu here. Both are excellent. I have them hold the pork blood though. The Bahn Xeo crispy and filled with savory pork, shrimp, squid, and bean sprouts. This is another dish you should not miss here. Get the large size as it seems to have more surface area for the crispiness.

The…read moreThai basil leaves were absolutely ginormous, and they gave us plenty of them alongside very fresh limes, which I appreciated. The bowl itself came loaded with meat--they definitely weren't skimping to save money here. The meat-to-noodle ratio felt great, and every bite actually had substance instead of leaving me fishing around for toppings. As for the broth, I landed somewhere in the middle. It wasn't quite as clear or light as I personally prefer, leaning toward a fattier, milkier undertone that almost reminded me of a Vietnamese pho take on tonkotsu. The flavor itself was undeniably very good, but the richness may have been a bit too much for me personally. One way I usually judge how much I love a pho broth is whether I want to sip the bowl down to the very end, and this one wasn't quite light enough for me to want to do that. I've had richer and deeper pho flavors elsewhere, but I still appreciated the flavor profile here and could absolutely see why this place is so popular. It feels hearty, comforting, and satisfying in a way that clearly resonates with many people. Despite how packed the restaurant was, the atmosphere ended up being surprisingly pleasant. Service moved very quickly, which honestly impressed me given how busy everything felt. Even with the crowd, I didn't dislike the spacing or setup at all--the restaurant still felt comfortable, and the sound of people enjoying their food all around added to the lively, welcoming energy rather than making it feel overwhelming. Overall, Pho Phong Lưu ended up being one of those places where I completely understood the hype, even if it didn't become my personal favorite pho spot. While the broth leaned richer than my preference, I still enjoyed the experience and definitely look forward to trying other dishes next time.
