Every order I have gotten from them Beijing Express has excellent wonton soup, lo-mein, veggie egg rolls, crab rangoons, sesame chicken, cashew chicken, chicken katsu and teriyaki, orange chicken, chicken, shrimp, and beef and broccoli. I'm forgetting more. They have large portions too. Plenty for a second meal the next day. I will never forget an order I placed in 2018 when I was really pregnant. I've had the place twice. First time it was solid 4 starts. I was excited to order it again, and didn't mind the 33 mins drive to pick it up. Ugh... only the crab rangoons were good- and they are great! The oil was old and you could taste it in all 3 of the fried chicken dishes we got. The honey chicken sauce was gross. The meat was grey in the sesame chicken and I'm not sure it was actually chicken. The "fried rice" was half white rice & half brown rice but it wasn't at all fried rice, no peas or carrots like in pictures shown. 60% of our $100 order is going into the trash. I had to create a Yelp account just to warn people. The General Tso's chicken was bready and completely lacked flavor. It didn't have that authentic General Tso's taste at all. The fried rice portion was basically one small scoop and bland, and the so-called "egg roll" was nothing more than a tiny spring roll. The chicken wings were even worse. They came out pale and unappetizing -- I actually had to cook them in my air fryer just to make them somewhat edible. The skin wasn't crispy, the meat had no seasoning whatsoever (not even salt and pepper), and the only thing on them was a sticky honey sauce with absolutely no flavor. Total waste of money. I ordered a Kung pao chicken. This normally comes with peanuts. None were to be found. The bag that the food came in was filled with an orange colored oil. It literally was the whole inside of the bag. There was so much (sauce/oil) that it completely covered the Kung pao chicken, then overflowed and ended up all over the bag. Start off by saying, this is (was) my go to Chinese food place. It's been awhile since Iv been in the area to be able to get food from Beijing express. Today I ordered a shrimp fried rice, wonton soup and 2 egg rolls. The shrimp was very bad tasting, almost a rotting taste. The dumplings in the wonton soup had the same taste and the broth tasted like it was days old and just reheated. The egg rolls tasted like they were old and burnt. I should have payed attention to the alarm bells that went off when the app gave me an option to pay an extra $4 for "white meat chicken". The presentation looked great, huge chunks of lightly breaded chicken with plenty of sauce, and rice on the side. Unfortunately, there were 2-3 small pieces of broccoli and a few small shards of bell pepper. The sauce was mild as requested, but tasted like a basic sauce out of a bottle. The chicken though... the chicken was so chewy and gross. Big, fat pieces of tendon or connective tissue throughout 80% of the chunks. It really grossed me out and ruined the meal for me, and now I have to go floss this shit out of my teeth. For our main course, we had the Sweet-and-Sour Chicken ane the Orange Peel Beef. The portions were huge! The chicken was heavily breaded but still very tasty. My husband felt the beef dish was actually too rich. I found that it was quite rich, but by scraping off excess sauce, it was really quite delectable! The white rice was only so-so.
