The lo mein combo noodles had a good solid soy sauce flavor, soft noodles, good amount of meats, sold noodles. Mongolian beef is amazing, soft beef with creamy, salty, and tangy brown sauce. The fresh white onions help cut through the salty soy sauce flavor of the brown sauce. Orange chicken is awesome, big big chunks of white chicken meat, very little batter on the outside with a strong orange flavor. I appreciate this dish since it's more meat than batter. Meh. Disappointing. I picked up takeout from this restaurant and ordered the Kung Pao chicken and a chicken egg roll. The Kung Pao chicken was bland and lacked the flavor I was expecting--there was no discernible garlic, ginger, or other aromatics, and the sauce didn't have much depth. There weren't a lot of peanuts, and no vegetables, either. Unfortunately, my first bite of chicken also had some chewy, unpleasant bits, which didn't help. The egg roll shell was crispy but not a light batter, the interior was a bit doughy and lacked the texture I was hoping for. All in all, it was just okay. Nicer than the average Chinese restaurant. We arrived just before noon. We were the first group for lunch. They have a nice lunch menu with many options. I opted for one of the specials which came with soup or spring roll and either white or fried rice. I opted for the Kung pao three delight. which is shrimp, chicken and beef. The food was very good and the portions were ample. One of my pet peeves is when they don't bring all the entrées at the same time. I was almost finished with my entree when they brought the final entrée. The soup was not very hot but the entrees were fine. I rate the food a "b minus". Give it a try. read more

It hurts me to write this review, but our last order was so bad for my husband. He ordered the jalapeño chicken, which was such bad quality that he threw it in the trash. We've had other chicken dishes from here and they were fine. I hope that it was a one off because it was New Year's Day and not a change in meat quality. read more

Ambiance is good. People are friendly, but the food. . . Even for a standard cookie-cutter Chinese place, is sub-par. I ordered the fried rice and it was the worst I've ever had. It was in no way traditional and just lazy (white rice drenched with sauce and a few onions). My wife ate only a few bites of her beef entree as the meat was very fatty. I hope I don't have to eat this food again. Also, not a good value if you have to order full meals instead of the lunch menu (no lunch menu on Sunday). Absolutely terrible experience. My wife was served raw orange chicken, which is completely unacceptable and a serious health concern. When we brought it to their attention, they did next to nothing to make it right; they simply gave her two spring rolls instead and still charged us full price. When my wife questioned it, they responded with, "But we gave you free spring rolls." Unfortunately, the spring rolls were awful too, and neither of us could even finish the meal. I was a bit skeptical at first as the menu was all in English but I was craving hot and sour soup so I decided to give this place a try. **FOOD** - Hot and Sour Soup (5/5) - I thoroughly enjoyed the soup. It has the perfect thick consistency that I prefer for it and they also didn't skimp out on the ingredients to soup ratio. - Tofu House Special (4.5/5) - The flavor was great. I like how there is a good portion of both tofu and the mixed vegetables. Would definitely get this again. - Salt and Pepper Shrimp (4/5) - It's nicely seasoned but might want to try a different shrimp dish next time. * Bonus - Each entree does come with either steam white rice or fried rice which is an upgraded charge **SERVICE** I was blown away by the amazing service here. The servers were so nice and checked in with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed even though it was a busy night for them. We received a few refills for our soda and even got a free one to-go after our meal. They also helped pack up our leftovers into boxes instead of just given us the box to do ourselves. I had very high hopes for T Jin as I had heard great things about it. To me it was mediocre at best. I ordered the cashew chicken, it was decent with fried rice, the rice just had soy sauce in it. (It was okay). Mongolian Beef which the beef was tender but the sauce was bland and boring and it had a ton of onions with it. Pan Fried Pot Stickers which were also just okay. Husband had Sweet & Sour Chicken and they forgot the rice with that dish, it was good from the bite I had. He also had Generals Chicken with fried rice. I order takeout from Tjin's frequently. The people are friendly, the orders are on time, and with rare exceptions have been accurate. The food is reliable. Good but not spectacular. My go-to's are hot and sour soup and Hunan beef. The only observation is the Hunan lacks consistency. Sometimes more beef or vegetables, sometimes less. Sometimes a good amount of sauce, sometimes I'd like more. Never unacceptable. Portions are always the same so that's good too. read more

They did forget to include our fried rice once but I just called them and they made a note for me to get it on my next order. What a little gem! Restaurant appeared to be clean with ample seating. The staff was so attentive and friendly! We went for lunch and the portions were more than plenty for the price! All the food had so much flavor! My teenage kiddo even said, "this fried rice is bomb!" So you know it was good! Went on a week night with my husband and was very pleased with our experience. We got salt and pepper shrimp, general's beef and egg drop soup. Everything was fresh and had great flavor. Food from 1 to crazy bussin: 7.5/10. The portions were large and the prices were quite reasonable. The service was attentive, respectful and friendly. When you get that American Chinese food craving, it can't be denied. Such was the case on a Friday and we ordered pickup for Shrimp fried rice and Beef Lo Mein. Everything was delicious. The fried rice and shrimp was cooked well and had a great flavor. The noodles were addicting and the beef was super tender. Only slight complaint was that the noodles were a bit oily, but that's just the sacrifice you make when eating delicious fast food. This place has the best shrimp egg rolls that I've had since we moved to Texas! They also offer great service and a peaceful environment. The egg drop and won ton soups are very flavorful and the vegetarian dish, Kung Pao Tofu was delicious as well as the vegetable fried rice. I liked the sweet and sour shrimp but wasn't a big fan of the battered breading. Prices were reasonable and the portions were good. I would definitely recommend that you visit. read more

Updating my review from several years ago. This is my favorite Chinese place near Pflugerville. I usually go for lunch. I think the lunch specials stop at 3PM. Service has always been attentive, especially for refilling drinks. I've been trying to diet, so a large bowl of soup and a couple of egg rolls are quite satisfying. They have one of the better hot sour soups. I also like the chicken corn soup, which is basically egg drop with some chopped chicken and corn, but very nice. Try the China Town stir fry if you want a lunch with meat and a lot of vegetables. read more

I'm updating my review from several years ago to reflect the consistency of service and food quality that T.Jin's had provided over the years. Given what happened with most of the service industry during and after COVID, I consider this an incredible feat. I still frequent T.Jin's for lunch, as you can easily get in and out in about 30-45 mins. and the lunch specials are all around $10 for healthy protein/vegetable options with rice and soup (I love the broccoli chicken, sauce on the side). In cooler months, the sizzling rice soup is an excellent treat for a hearty meal. You get shrimp, chicken, beef and loads of veggies, plus the best little sizzling rice crunchies. We have done plenty of carryout from here, too, but if possible, dining in is preferred. You truly feel well taken care of. read more

I have been coming to this place for many years . The food is good, but the customer service is getting worse and worse . We always order the same food to go every week . They start charging for spicey sauce if you want on the side . They charge 50 cents for little container of spicey sauce . I found that to be ridiculous. This is one of the better Chinese food restaurants I've had recently and we've been here several times the last few months. Most of the time we eat in but took it to go once and it's much better when you eat it there. It's extremely affordable as well in comparison to some of the other places we've had. I personally LOVE the egg drop soup and prefer the rice over the lo mein, the lo mein was a bit greasy but still tasty. The service is great, we're always seated and have our orders both taken and brought out quickly but we've never gotten food that's wasn't fresh or piping hot despite coming out in about 6-8 mins. For an appetizer, I ordered a spring roll (fried) which came with sweet and sour sauce. Both were tasty. However, the moo shu shrimp was not good. The flavor was overly salty, but the most shocking part was the shrimp was breaded! Moo shu is a very saucey/soupy dish, and the shrimp was mushy as a result. No veggies in it either (which may be more authentic I'm not sure). Wonton soup - I LOVE wonton soup and usually the bare minimum gets me excited -- this was an exceptional wonton soup. Mushroom chicken - not at ALL what I was expecting so I'm a little bummed by that. It honestly would be a great dish if you're feeling under the weather and need something that won't upset your tum!
