What have I been missing?! I eat next door all the time. A friend recommended and I'm so glad we finally came in. We had steamed pot stickers, lo mein, orange chicken, beef broccoli and fried rice.

I've ordered several meals from here in the past few weeks and everything we've ordered has been delicious. They did forget to include our fried rice once but I just called them and they made a note for me to get it on my next order. Ordering online is convenient and simple and the food comes nicely packed for pickup. We really enjoy the Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken and Sesame Shrimp.

What a little gem! Restaurant appeared to be clean with ample seating. The staff was so attentive and friendly! We went for lunch and the portions were more than plenty for the price! All the food had so much flavor! My teenage kiddo even said, "this fried rice is bomb!" So you know it was good! The steamed dumplings were so soft and not overly doughy and pair wonderful with their chili oil! We will definitely be back soon!

This place was such a solid Chinese place. Really liked the salt and pepper shrimp. Highly recommend this. The egg drop soup was decent -- good flavor but nothing spectacular. I thought the beef was okay. Service was nice and ambiance is what you'd expect from a normal Chinese restaurant. Overall would come back again but specifically for the salt and pepper shrimp.

Went on a week night with my husband and was very pleased with our experience. We got salt and pepper shrimp, general's beef and egg drop soup. Everything was fresh and had great flavor. Food from 1 to crazy bussin: 7.5/10. The portions were large and the prices were quite reasonable. The service was attentive, respectful and friendly. The ambiance is lowkey, just a casual Chinese restaurant. Overall we really enjoyed the food especially for the price, will be coming back for sure!

Plenty of vegan options with tofu both soft and fried, fresh veggies galore, and all the brown sauce you can handle. My personal favorites are the mapo tofu and mushroom tofu, but the dry sauteed green beans definitely deserve and honorable mention. Great portions all around; order two dishes and you'll have a whole feast. Lunch deals are a great value but even dinner pricing is very reasonable, too. It's an ideal spot for a low-key meal since it's usually not too busy, not loud, not flashy, and not the type of place that attracts annoying wannabe influencers.

I'm a big fan of the spicy beef noodles. Love the bouncy chewy noodles with the fresh bok choy. You can see the photos I took the soft, long cooked braised beef cuts. I am very surprised the beef is very tender extremely tender and love the the big cuts of gelatinous goodness. Tendons for capital T for tender. The broth has a strong beef flavor and overall great dish. The pad Thai on the other hand, it's a good attempt at Pad Thai but in my opinion is too sugary. Love the noodles with the peanuts on top. You have the soft noodles with the crunchy peanuts. It adds a nice contrast of crunchy and soft at the same time. You can see the sliced carrots and the beef. I also added chicken. It's a good dish, but it's in my opinion missing more bean sprouts and it needed more tamarin sauce. More fish sauce, and it would've been nice to add stirfry basil so you could taste the basil leaves when you stirfry it. It's also missing eggs. Maybe I didn't see any of it. I didn't taste any eggs or it was just covered in sauce, but who knows it was still good. I ate the whole thing.

The jumping fish and green beans have always been my favorite, but this time, I tried the Dry Pot Lamb as well. It was so good! Even at 4:30 pm, the place got pretty slammed. We're a house divided on this place; one of us thinks it was really good, while the other one thought it was only OK. The food comes out fast, alarmingly fast. The fried green beans are always a must for us, and these were good, but not superior to any of the other ones that you can find around town. The bok choy was also typical, and the famed mapo tofu--while wonderfully spicy--was really greasy. We both loved the cumin lamb, our favorite dish. What sets it apart here is that the meat is more "wet", and again, the spice factor was just right. We now have to mention the dumplings. Our kiddo ordered some pork pot stickers, and a woman came out to put the plate in front of her; our daughter then proceeded to move the sauce off the plate and was about to dig in when the woman came back, put the sauce back on the plate and then delivered it to another table!!!!!!!!!! How many food safety laws were violated in that moment is beyond us!! The potstickers were disgusting btw...frozen and overfried and terrible. Overall, the restaurant might have been 3.5 stars, mayyyyyyybe 4, but after the whole Dumpling Situation, we're settling on 3. Doubtful whether we will be back though.

Their wonton egg noodle soup is one of my go to dishes in Austin. The broth has more depth and umami compared to Dinh Ho, and the wontons are a bit more fatty and bouncy. It's a satisfying bowl. Their Chinese BBQ is also reliable. The space could use some upkeep. It feels like not much has been updated since the next generation took over, and the wear is more noticeable after COVID. I understand wanting to keep things the same, but some investment into the building, furniture, and overall ambiance would make a difference in how popular this place can be given it's long standing reputation for excellent authentic Chinese food. . I still come here when I want a solid wonton noodle soup and BBQ.

Lunch special is from 11am-3pm Monday-Friday. The general tso chicken is salty and was not well balance. The chicken was dry. It was lightly battered and fried. The sauce was one note. The stir fried flat noodles N12 combination was under seasoned and needed more soy sauce. The squid was not seasoned at all. The shrimp was imported shrimp and was not good. There were still poop lines in the shrimp. You didn't get any smokiness from the soy sauce at all. Do I recommend this place? This place was a staple in atx but with my Overall experience with the food quality I cannot recommend this place. We have had the roasted pork before and it was ok. Not the best we ever had but meh. Where we were seated we can hear the cooks yelling at each other in the kitchen. There are other restaurants in Austin that are way better.
