*Best Dick's in Town"…read more Dick's is a mega-corporate chain that's now the #1 sporting goods retailer in the U.S, with over 700 locations as of 2024. Dicks had an IPO back in 2002 and trades on the NYSE under the ticket symbol DKS. Their retail prices are standard. But also some very reasonable pricing and great discounts & sales too. I still miss Sport Chalet and Sports Authority that unfortunately filed for Bankruptcy back in 2016. I also prefer to shop local and support the Mom & Pop shops. But brick and mortar sporting goods stores have become dinosaurs...so I've grown to like Dick's. It's become one of my go-to's when I prefer to try something on or experience the product prior, opposed to online shopping. And Dick's has much better quality brands and inventory compared to Big 5. Been to this location a handful of times, and each time made a purchase. I've also ordered from their website once because the size of the item I wanted wasn't in stock. The layout here is decent but the store itself is always clean and pretty well-stocked. There's usually a fair amount of store team members wandering around either stocking or tidying the sleeves & racks. A few of the Team Members here are very helpful & kind and seem to care about customer service and experiences. Reason for knocking off a star? Some of the team members here, as well as the ones at the check-out register, appear as what I call "dialing-it-in and punching a time clock" because they act as tho they don't wanna be here...and are too cool for the room. I wonder if this stems from management here...or they haven't a clue and my reason for pointing this out. Because some of Dick's Team Members need to be better Team Players or go take a seat on the bench.

I had never been into a Five Below and had no idea what they sold. I was picking up fancy refrigerated dog food next door at PetSmart and thought I'd wander in and see what they sold. Was it refrigerated items? The name Five Below made me wonder. As I popped in, a very friendly guy said hello and welcomed me, but not in an insincere way. (I'm always a bit sus about that) I started to realize this was an upgraded 99 Cent store with a $5 limit, and was curious to explore. I really responded well to the nice lighting, cool oversized signage and clean feel of the store. I saw items that are at better prices than other stores, but I wondered how people knew what to purchase here. I think you must just go in and endeavor to buy stuff you would normally buy elsewhere for more. Although I left without a purchase, I will go back when I want to stock up on items we regularly use. Also, the guy that works there literally had his teeth sparkle when he said thank you for visiting us - I'm easily swayed by genuine appreciation.

YELP SHORT ANSWER: a great visit, yes if you're out shopping for anything drop in this REI location…read moreand enjoy. LOCATION: simple to find off the 111 in PD and tons of parking usually with a lot of cars. Choose your time. FACILITY: as a long time member, 4 decades, this exterior is nothing special compared to other locations in the PNW but you get to work with what you have when it comes to picking buildings. The interior however is great. Open and easy to find everything. STAFF: as with most of all REI location, the staff are all helpful and knowledgeable about their products. Fern in the cycling department was so incredibly helpful and got my wheels serviced while we shopped for a tent on their Labour Day Sale. Can't say enough good things about our first trip to this new location, other than this was one of the best shopping experiences we've had in this area in a long time. OVERALL VALUE: it is not cheap, never has been but if you're looking for a deal, learn about their sales and how to best use your co-op dollars. REI provides excellent quality items, professional level advice, and a fair price. TIP: ask questions, shop in the store, online, or online at their outlet store. Items can be delivered to the store or to your home.

Upon arriving at the store, I was initially confused since the signage says Sports Warehouse. Upon walking to up the store entrance, I saw logos on the door signifying that the store contains sports equipment for tennis, running, pickleball, and other racket sports. When the store opened, I was warmly greeted by store employees and asked if I need assistance. While walking around the store, I was impressed by the layout of the store as well as the clearly labels sports areas of for tee is, running, and pickleball. The store has a good balance of clothing as well as sports accessories including footwear, rackets, and Stanley tumblers. After walking around and looking at items for running, tennis, and pickleball as viewing the prices for numerous items in the store, I decided to purchase a pair of socks. I would have purchased a running tank tops from the store but it appeared that they didn't carry shirts for plus size runners in the store. After selecting my running socks, for purchase, I asked the employee if they accept Apple Pay and was happy when she replied yes. The employee who rung up my purchase was friendly and efficient. While my shopping experience was pleasant, I suggests that the addition of plus size clothing for bigger runner would open the store up to an bigger customer base as well as maybe adding a clearance section in the store for budget conscious shoppers.

Very odd in a sense which didn't feel right. Then we found this place driving by. It's a massive store. Plenty of parking out front. Front the outside it just looks like your usual store but once inside, it's like a mega golf store. Theres literally everything and anything you needed. Right at the front was where the replacement section was. The gentleman's working were very sweet in explaining everything and helping us out with picking what we need. One was doing all the replacements while the other one was helping us out. From there, it just takes a couple minutes. It was fine which gave us time to walk around and check the store out. We literally only did half of the store as it was massive. There's sections along the sides where you can practice your swings electronically. A putting green right in the middle to practice. Besides all the clubs and accessories, half of the store had a big apparel department with loads to choose from. There was so many clubs to choose from as well as whatever you may or may not need. I was testing out a putter on the practice green and simply moving golf balls out of the holes and toward the side of the putting surface when an employee abruptly approached me in a rude and demeaning manner, accusing me of "kicking his balls," which was completely untrue. The way he spoke to me was unnecessary, insulting, condescending, and unprofessional from the very beginning. When I asked for his name, he replied "Jim, the assistant manager" with a cocky attitude before walking away. About 10 minutes later, after apparently getting off his shift and changing clothes, Jim approached me again and sarcastically asked if I needed help with the putter. Considering the disrespectful way he had already spoken to me, I found it strange and antagonistic that he came back over at all. I told him I didn't understand why he was even speaking to me after treating me the way he did. The entire interaction left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable, especially coming from someone in a management position. I will be contacting corporate because customers should never be treated in such a hostile and condescending manner.
