Unprofessional and lack customer service skills. Lazy management just hanging out not doing anything in the back.

Rude customer service cashier. Not inviting environment. I will not shop where I feel unwelcome.

I had an issue that started with an online order so I called the toll-free number and spoke with a rep who was surprisingly delightful and caring! After her research into the matter, she transferred the call to a supervisor who was better equipped to provide assistance with my issue. The supervisor was equally delightful (!) and after deciding it was best dealt with at my local store level, she called a manager at Silverdale. He suggested that I come into the store and talk with any manager on duty, and so I did the next day. Although at first Manager, Summer, seemed skeptical, she took the time to thoroughly research in the problem (looking at my account, calling the manager who had been on duty, checking stock...), and then provided several flexible and positive solutions. The reason I think she was great is because after she inherited my problem, she completely "owned" the issue intent on finding appropriate, workable solutions. She was a joy to work with and I felt she was not only professional, but clearly she enjoys her job, feels respected and appreciated, and highly values the customer. (Note: When her earpiece had fallen out and she thought employees were ignoring her call to help a waiting customer, she laughed at herself recognizing it was her mistake- never once trying to shift the blame. Sure this isn't a big deal, but it represented a characteristic one would want in a supervisor!) I was an occasional Dick's customer previously because of convenience and price, but I am definitely now a LOYAL Dick's customer because of excellent customer service, and while surely Summer epitomizes excellent customer service, I had great, caring service from every employee involved!

Tons of outdoor gear available for purchase. Some of us picked up snow shoes and snow clothing. That was our mission and it was a success to find them all here. Mind you though, the prices were crazy high. Either you can buy items used or new. A jacket my brother wanted was $500 and the one I wanted was $300. Be prepared to damage your wallet.. When checking out, we signed up for a membership. I didn't get a good look at the snowboards but I am looking for one to customize in pink with the word Hawaii at the bottom.

Upon shopping I was asked multiple times if I needed any help which they did help me find some delicious freeze dried food but when I was headed towards the checkout isle they had every single employee standing at the door with the greeter doing absolutely nothing productive but blocking me from leaving obviously I looked them all up and down and they knew what they were doing (I'm black btw) after seeing this I almost set everything back but I continued and purchased over $1270 in gear. just felt very judged and under appreciated as a customer.

Team members need improved communication among themselves and to their customers…read more On 6/27/20 I arrived before the store opened to purchase the Jordan 11 Low "Concord/Bred". There were only four people waiting for the store to open. When the store opened there were three team members. One member that opened the store and two more behind the register. The four of us went in line to the register. First in line were a couple, then another person then me. We were all spaced apart to meet social distancing guidelines. I asked the team member on the floor if they had the Jordan 11s in all sizes then let him know my size. He came back with my size then he helped the person in front of me and gave him his size. The couple at the head of the line received their shoes and completed their purchase. When the person in front of me was ready to pay one of the team members behind the register took the shoes away and he was unable to purchase them. I was unable to the overhear the conversation because of the social distancing and the music playing in the background. He left the register without shoes in hand. When it was my turn to pay, the same team member took my shoes and said, "Sorry" She continued, "We are unable to sell these shoes to the public. You'll have to come back Monday". My response, "Monday? What time Monday?" She replied, "Monday morning...sorry bro." As I left disappointed, I noticed that there was another person in line behind me wearing an Orange Carmelo Anthony jersey. As I was walking through the mall the person wearing the Carmelo Anthony jersey walked past me with a Jordan 11 box in a Champs bag. That person headed to "Just Sports" to open up that store. 1) If Champs couldn't sell the shoes to the "public" then who are they for? "Raffle" winners? The team member could have given a better explanation. 2) I'm going to assume the people in line that were able to purchase the shoes won "raffles". 3) If only people that won "raffles" were able to purchase them the Champs team members should have shared that information with the people in line. 4) Did a "backdoor deal" occur among staff between the sports stores in the mall or was he also a "raffle" winner? 5) I'm not going to take a day off from work to buy shoes especially, when I had them in hand ready to purchase on a Saturday. ** Attached is photo of the Jordan 11s in my hands while I was waiting in line.

Oh my, customer service definitely needs some work here!…read more Manager seemed more interested in walking around with a clip board and looking busy than helping customers. I walked around looking for a specific item for quite some time before, walking past him numerous times, before he finally asked if I needed help. I did as a matter of fact! No more of the items I wanted in stock but no offer to order or look in back either. All stock was super low too, most things only having one or two sizes. So I took my one item to the register and waited, and waited and waited while the clerk flirted with the gal he was ringing up. She had a couple transactions it seemed because they kept going back and forth, him calling her silly, her not knowing her password, giggling and laughing while taking their time. He finishes, hands her the bag then proceeds to come around the counter to hug her and talk a few more minutes! When he was good and done with her he looks at me and says, are you ready to check out? I'd been standing there with my item for over 10 minutes, are you serious?! Yes they offer a military discount, that's a good thing right?! Well, having an ID isn't good enough, you have to have birth date and entry/retirement date too! So spouses, be prepared to have that information if you want a discount! I'm giving two stars because it's a clean store, good sale prices and the military discount. Back to online shopping though because I sure won't go to Champs again!

I recall a Sears was once here and closed. I was there for some clearance sales which I got some stuff I wanted and needed. They managed to get WinCo Foods grocery store to take the space which I was impressed to see because some malls can never get those large spaces filled again in this day and age of retail. The mall does a fair job having the basic mall staple stores but as many other reviewers have indicated this mall is small. Not the smallest I've ever been to but small so some of those staple stores simply aren't there. Probably the stores I liked best was the World Market and the Barnes and Noble. There is a Hot Topic here but selection isn't all that great compared to their other store locations or their online store. So all in all not missing much here but it is still a mall and still a decent place to kill some time.

People were saying "Rhino" were monsters who would destroy Silverdale. What's happening now is the operating hours will be reduced and they can just suddenly close the mall and kick you out so the elites (these seem to be 20-29 in age range, not from here, and very fancy if the cars are any indication) can have special parties. These are creepy. I saw a "comedy show" in an abandoned restaurant where no one was laughing. Security accosted me and asked why I was trying to shop in a mall. They said the posted hours were wrong. They were pretty demeaning. What's sleazy is no one was told the mall was closing. Rhino repeatedly lied to residents. They only listened to these foreigners who spilled in to raid the area while living in those creepy ticky tacky apartments that all look just the same. These people will all say the same thing. They will say "Once, this mall was shoulder-to-shoulder people" like they are reading from a script an AI created. Their eyes glaze when they say this. They act strange. They look robotic. They wear these fancy "distressed" clothes that aren't from here. They don't look like they're from here. Everything is overpriced now. Taxes are through the roof. It's like a third-world county. Now, there's not even a mall and some residents are trapped. The mall was the landmark in Silverdale, so there is no Silverdale. It's just those viral, scary apartments. It's awful. We were told the mall would come back. I guess they lied. How you can improve: Stop the creepy entertainment and have a shopping mall. If you can't do that, tear it down and put in more gross, identical tenement apartments.
