Attended a concert at this location for the first time and really enjoyed it. It was very disability friendly! Sincerely one of the easiest venues I have navigated on a walker/cane. There were really no steps. Bathroom is was easy to get to and around in. I unfortunately didnt eat there this visit, but the food looked amazing! Well I am really disappointed to write this as the wings on special were amazing. So let me start with the positive. The wings as I said were fanastic. We had plain. Hennessy , and spicy Garlic flavors. We ordered Macaroni and Cheese, Greens, Potato Salad and Fries. The Mac and Greens were just like mama made, potatoe salad store bought the fries were just frozen potatoes lacking salt. But that doesn't take away from the real food. The service however. We sat at the bar to have a few drinks and eat . It took forever to be acknowledged (it was 7pm and still busy) and it seemed like we were more than a bother than a customer . The woman was rude and we only got a drink refill when our food was delivered . We will go back and give it one more try . Just hope next time the service compliments the food . read more

We have been to this restaurant a few times. First time we tried the bourbon chicken, which was great. We started with the fried pickles and jalapeño poppers. Poppers have cream cheese inside. Pickles have a great breading. This time we tried the pork chop, which is HUGE. It's smoked and has a juicy sauce. The ribs are great. They are cut and have a tasty bbq sauce. The mac and cheese is the type of comfort food you want. Cornbread is sweet. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Inside is clean. Definitely worth a trip. read more

Food was slow to come out even though I was the only diner. 4 people were at the bar. It was about 9:45pm when I arrived for a late dinner. Not impressed by the greens or pork chop. The waitress was kind and personable. I asked about the coke slaw and potato salad. She recommended the MAC. It wasn't fresh but ok. I know she can't control the speed of the kitchen or the quality of the food. I kind of feel bad for her because I'm sure her tips are adversely affected by things beyond her control. One and done. Walked in and seated ourselves. Table was filthy. Waiter did not offer to clean off. Had to ask. Ordered two Modelos on tap. They were so bad that we sent back. Ordered two bottled Coronas. I ordered pork chop, pinto beans potatoes. Then we waited and waited. One expect to wait for good fresh food. The pork chop was about 1.5 inches, charred,not smoked,totally dry like it had been sitting out for a week.It was a rip off. The beans came in a tiny saucer like an appetizer (2 tablespoons of beans) and were tastless. The potatoes were instant mush and couldn't even melt the butter. My friends briskit sandwich had three inch wide slivers of dried out brisket. He couldn't even eat the so called cole slaw. For all this we paid $50. I am 78 and I have dined frequently in my life. This was by far the most disgusting dine out experience I have ever had. I would rate negative ten if I could. Big Al should refund me my $50 and close his so called bbq retaurant. The ribs are salty and not enjoyable to eat. I was really disappointed when I bought a full slab and had it as the main course for my dinner. It seems like the cook used a tremendous amount seasoning salt as their rub. I haven't been back since! Hopefully, they'll see my comment and either adjust the amount of seasoning salt or find a better rub! read more

Been going there regularly, and they have great music, the food is authentic and reasonably priced, and the staff is chill. The only negative is the service. It is beyond terrible. One hour to get a beer? I could understand if it was one bad night, but it's all the time. I feel bad for the girls running the drinks, because the system there just sucks. read more

I stopped at Big A first time ever. I was traveling alone. It took 15 minutes before anyone said anything to me . I sat at the bar it was around 5p in the evening. I ordered fish to go it was spoiled. I had to throw it away. I could tell right away after biting into the fish that it was bad. It had a strong fish smell to it. The seasoning and cornmeal leveled the smell out. The thin white lady that waited on me also could polish up on her customer service skills. I ordered whiting fish. The food at this place was salty . I got ribs and they were over cooked, salty, dry as was the mac and cheese and greens. The customer service could also use some training skills. The location was the only great thing about the place. I sat at the bar area for over 20 min before anyone asked me if I had been helped. If I didn't have to give this place a one star this place would not have received that one star. read more

BBQ is better than any of the chains. I stumbled on to this and we diffidently will go back fun place.

The food was good they didn't have any ribs but the bourbon chicken and mac and cheese was REALLY GOOD the bake beans was my favorite. The lady at the register is really nice. I'll for sure eat hear again when I'm in town!!!! read more

I want to say I am applaud at the service I received. I posted on your Facebook on Saturday and it got deleted. Saturday we came in and sat the bar. We realized you were busy and were prepared to wait. But the first bartender sat menus in front of me and my husband and walked away without a word. 10 min or more go by and a bartender comes from the back with a tray of food and delivers it. She acknowledges us and says she is sorry for the wait . She takes all of our drink orders as new people had come in and she delivers drinks and takes food order and calms us down as she says sorry again if we had to wait . Well we came in last night . Which was a Tuesday. For pork tenderloin sandwiches. But to our dismay it was like a house party not a family restaurant or even bar: We never got acknowledged and it was the same bartender that did not help us Saturday. But this time there was no one to help us . I don't like saying this but we felt like we were not helped by her as we were white. read more

I went here recently because I like to support local businesses, but this is truly one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Walk in, seat yourself in the bar or the dining area, which are completely separated. The bar seems to be the priority for them, which is what they should probably stick with. We tried the bourbon chicken and it tasted like pure lighter fluid. The bbq ribs were not good at all. Again, cooked most likely over charcoal and tasted a bit like lighter fluid, though not as strongly as the chicken. The rice was the minute variety, which is completely inexcusable. The only good thing was the mac and cheese. It's actually very good. That's the only reason for two stars. But I wouldn't go back for it alone. My advice is that they cook over a wood smoker like bbq should be done in, or switch to another style of cuisine altogether. As for the restaurant, it was fairly clean but the ambiance is not welcoming at all. TVs on the wall with cables exposed, chairs turned over as if they were closed, etc. Waitress was nice and seemed to be trying hard, but appeared to be a bit stressed, even though there weren't many people dining. I truly hope they improve, but it needs to be soon if they expect to stay in business. read more
