This place serves a need in their community. They allow people to call in and have pizza delivered. I have a friend who lives near there who recently came home from the hospital. I ordered pasta and had to wait an hour for the food. The staff would periodically look over and see me there and ask if I had ordered. I kept repeating the order. Finally one of them took charge and got the simple order put together. The staff just said they were busy and asked us not mad. They did not apologize nor did they offer any discount. read more

This restaurant is by far one of my favorite and families favorites in the Antelope Valley. Big Al's had such a wide variety of foods and they are great for parties or school functions. The staff here is also very corteous, and the establishment is always clean. I will always drive from West Palmdale or Rosamond if I need to because the quality is that great. I recommend the calzone, Anna's brownies, or any of the Hispanic food :) read more

So I ordered the chicken Alfredo. I've ordered it a few times before and it was great. But my last order was terrible, it was like soup! Since it was delivered it was all over the bag. I literally had to use a spoon and a fork to eat it. The Alfredo sauce would not stick to the noodles. When you order out you really don't feel like cleaning up sauce all over your counter and using a different dish. read more

EVERY time my fiancée or I order there are so many complications! For starters they mess the whole order up. Second, they double charge our credit card. Third, it takes TWO (2) hours to get it delivered, only living 5 minutes down the road! Lastly, they have NO understanding of customer service! Including the managers and owner! The last time I called the owner yelled at me and said he did not have time for this s!@# and hung up the phone! I have also had the delivery guy NOT bring the whole order having to wait another 30 minutes for him to drive just down the road and bring me the rest of my order! NO apologies given for the inconvenience nor discount! As far as the flavor of the food, the pizza taste nasty! The subs are amazing (when they make them right). I have not tasted anything else! Very dis-pleased with this place! I plan on going into town and eating next time. It takes us as long to drive out, eat, and come home as it would to order and wait, only with better quality customer service and better tasting food! We have been customers of Big Al's since we moved to Littlerock in 2008. Never have we had a problem with the service or the quality of the food, always very good! Tonight we made an order, about 10 minutes later my husband calls to cancel the order due to a lack of ride to pick up the order. The lady tells us it's going to be an hour, a guy gets on and tells us, no we are done it's going out in 5 minutes. An hour later no pizza, my husband calls and the 2 people on the phone want to argue the order and we are so done! Cancel it already! No, after we hang up the delivery guy shows about 10 minutes later with out a clue! So we call back after we send him off. No we did not accept the order, they want to argue with us about it all! Look guy we have the call times on our phone! Period! Sucks because we love the place, it's our go to for local pizza, food, but the way it all went down we are disappointed in the treatment we were given after being loyal customers for over 7 years! My husband was really disappointed he had to call back and let them know how upset he was over the service and how we were not coming back. read more

I came in to order some Mexican food today. I ordered 6 tacos, rice and some chili cheese fries. We waited 30 mins and I wasn't happy about the long wait for such a small amount of food. Then as I was waiting a woman and her family also had to wait over an hour for her food to find out the delivery driver took her food out for a dilvery. This was my first visit and I really wasn't impressed. I hoped to go home and at least enjoy our food. Unfortunately, the rice is over cooked and salty and resembles nothing like "authentic Mexican" rice, which they advertise on their windows. The tacos were falling apart and soggy. Then the fries were stale and extremely greasy. I will never return here and I highly recommended others to seek Mexican food somewhere else. read more

We have gotten pizza from Big Al's many times over the past 10 or 15 years (they have been in business here a very long time!). We really like the pizza, but usually pick it up, instead of delivery, because we get it sooner, since we usually get pizza on the week-ends. The times we have had delivery, they had no trouble finding our house and it was usually early or on time...have never had to make that "where's my pizza" call! Thanks!!! read more

I've had their pizza many, many times and their mexican take away a few times and it's always great. Pizza is really one of the best I've ever had. Really good crust, lots of cheese and plenty of toppings. The folks that work there are always pleasant and I've always picked up or had delivered on time. Prices are good too. Not the cheapest but very reasonable and worth every penny. Sometimes I call ahead when I'm about 15-20 minutes away and pick up on the way home. Always piping hot and ready when I get there. I've been eating at Big Al's since they opened their doors, having ordered from them at least one thousand times (No exaggeration - twice a week or more during their first decade in business when I lived around the block, and somewhat less frequently in the last several years after I moved.) Their pizza crust, sauce, and toppings are the best available not just in the Antelope Valley, but anywhere that I've eaten pizza. Even after moving from Littlerock to the westernmost part of town, I have often driven 16 miles one-way across town to get Big Al's Pizza. Their Big Al's Special and Vegetarian are two of the tastiest pies I've had anywhere. As far as the negative reviews that I read below that allege health and safety concerns, in over 1,000 visits I've never been rendered ill by their food or had a single problem -- not one. Every time I've picked up Big Al's to take to a relative's or friend's house for a party they've loved it and asked where the pizza was from. I can't praise this place enough and I encourage you to give it a try. read more

She is rude and not efficient at taking down an address or even what toppings you get on the pizza. Then when I call to complain they are rude. THE EMPLOYEES ARE SO RUDE! I've ordered from Big Als for YEARS and love their food however, when I tried placing an order to pickup(because I live literally a block away) I asked if I could now pay over the phone. The rude woman on the other line said no you can pay the driver when he gets there. Not realizing I had already said its for pickup. I told her that it's for pickup, and I would need to pay over the phone as it's my boyfriends card and he's leaving for work. She then refused to take my card payment over the phone, saying I would need the card and ID to pick up the food, even though I have ordered this way FOR YEARS. I asked to speak to the manager and she said "that's fine she's just going to tell you the same thing". The "manager" gets on the phone and proceeds to tell me that it's against their policy and when I told her I've given a card over the phone many times and never been asked for my ID or card when I pick up the order she yells and says "it's not your card" and hangs up. I have never been treated with such rude customer service. These girls act like they own the place and can treat their customers however they please and have lost my loyal business read more

I go here often for lunch. They have a reward system set up, and today I redeemed mine for a free drink. Moreover, there meatball sandwich is very good! Toasty bread, bell peppers, and flavorful meaty meatballs. I highly recommend it. Also, they have over 5 TV's to watch any game that may be one, and games for the kids to play. read more

Wow! Lg. Pepperoni and Sausage pizza. Cost $15.20, size was maybe a medium, taste-lacking any flavor. Lil Caesars makes a better pie and it's only $5. I'll never eat here again and we not recommend to anyone, especially my friends. read more
