Great service, great bagels but they had no coffee made so my husband had to wait, they also messed up our orders as I got the plain cream cheese and he got the veggie one and he hates scallions, he kept on removing the veggies off of it. Then the lady told a customer that "The roast beef went bad, it smelled really bad" oh boy

Excellent fresh quality bagels. And homemade cream cheeses. My go-to spot. Must stop for morning bagels and coffee

Bagels are good. Understanding that everything costs more, $3.50 for a plain toasted bagel is a bit expensive. Won't go back.

Gross, doughy, stale bagels. No toaster. Watery cream cheese--did not know that was a thing. Worst ever.

Great place for your Bagel Fix. But get there early or their selections are thin.

Admittedly our first choices were not open due to power outages. This is a new place that we have never noticed before. I believe this building used to house Theo and Stacey's and then Berries. The service was attentive and kind here, however our meals left us with a less than stellar opinion and a lack of desire to return. I can see from another reviews here that the owner says the food is mostly "house-made". I am not certain if this phrasing means the same thing as homemade, but none of our meals tasted at all homemade. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with the added option of eggs and potatoes for an extra $3. Nothing on my plate tasted homemade to my palate. The biscuits were not warm and tasted like a premade item, not like a fresh biscuit, at all. The gravy definitely had a canned taste and appearance - not flavorful or very warm. The eggs were fine, cooked to order. The breakfast potatoes did not look fresh cut and were undercooked and not seasoned as our waitress described. They definitely had a premade appearance. I have ordered biscuits and gravy all over this town, I'm not a rookie in this field. ;) My son ordered a Benedict. It was very basic, as expected, but with a bland, cold sauce. My husband ordered an omelet with the breakfast potatoes and toast. If you order sourdough toast it only comes with one piece, which is fine, but it's not true sourdough from a fermented starter. It appeared to be regular, thin bread from a packaged, pre-made loaf. He also commented that the potatoes appear to be out of a frozen bag, not a homemade appearance, taste, or flavor. The omelet was bland but they do provide salt and pepper as well as one hot sauce choice to flavor things up a bit. The coffee was very diner-esque. Lacking in flavor and strength. However our waitress kept our cups full and warm! There were a couple of larger groups present which kept the atmosphere quite loud during our visit. However the restaurant is cute and has quite a few tables to hold a good sized amount of patrons at once. With a tip our total for 3 breakfast entrees and two coffees was just shy of $60. I know that prices are on the higher side these days, but this was extremely disappointing for the food that we were served. There are so many wonderful breakfast restaurants in our area - another choice might benefit both the tastebuds and wallet! I try to be kind but honest in my reviews here, two stars is generous.

The food was good and the waitress was on point when she needed to be she was super quick the food didn't take long at all. We go two smash burgers a classic and traditional both greatly prepared I highly recommend this if you're looking for a good burger in the Kalamazoo area our bill was only 33 bucks with burgers fries and drinks

We walked in the door and my parents were thrilled when they saw Alicia, who I learned was their favorite waitress from East Egg in Portage. We seated ourselves, and the interior was clean and I liked the decor. The food and service were absolutely amazing! Today was "free bacon Friday" so bacon was added to all of our orders for free. I had a bacon, egg and cheese omelette that came with hash browns and toast or pancake, and I added a side of grits. I had asked for grape jelly for my toast and Alicia brought the grape jelly, but she also brought me some strawberry jelly she wanted me to try because it was homemade. It was really good! Tami, the owner, came over and talked with us after we had finished eating. When she found out that I liked biscuits and gravy she told me that theirs was homemade, and she gave me some to take home so I could try it. I could not believe how friendly Alicia was, and then to talk with the owner who was extremely friendly as well...I'm just mad that we did not come here before today. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food and for the service. I will be back.
