Been coming here for awhile now and it is always consistent, fast, and good bagels. I always get an everything and a side of bacon, bacon is very thin but always crispy. Service is always fast I'm usually in and out with 5 minutes and the prices here are very cheap! My only bad experience I had was when I came 10 minutes before they closed for a bagel and I felt like I was a burden to the employees. Working in the food Industry I get it. But I think you still have to treat every customer the same no matter the time. Besides that though it is and will continue to be my go to breakfast spot read more

The bagels here are fresh and tasty. I really like that the toppings don't fall off the bagels as well. Nothing like eating a sesame or everything bagel and having all the toppings fall off all over the place. Not sure how they do it, but to me this is a definite plus! They do have a variety of bagels with an up charge for some "specialty" flavors, but many are with it! They have a decent deal on Mondays if you are getting a dozen and they tend to send coupons in the mail for a free bagel and coffee from time to time. I'm only giving it four stars because there have been times that the bagels I've picked up are not cut. I'm not sure if this is something they up charge for because I never looked that closely at the receipt, but I know you have to specifically ask for this when ordering a dozen. Nothing worse then getting a dozen bagels home and having to cut each one yourself. read more

My first time here was the day after Hurricane Irma. No place was open so we decided to stop in. Amazing supply of very fresh and varied bagels and flavors. Not just for breakfast - they have a tempting lunch menu that I'll sure to be checking back on. My friend loved the hot dog in a bagel bun. But by far, the most insanely delicious muffins. Wow. Thank you so much for supporting your community by obviously preparing great food during the storm and then opening your doors to long lines of hungry, but happy people. We moved here from D.C. where there are hundreds of authentic bagel shops, down here they are hard to find! Big Apple Bagels is the best local bagel spot we've found! Their bagels are super fresh, lots of choices, and their cream cheese is awesome too! The staff is super friendly and everything was very fast! I decided to give it a try based on most of the Yelp reviews. I don't do comparison based on what other states do because you are not in California or New York. I got the salmon with capers,red onion, and tomato. I chose the bagel with everything and plain cream cheese. I think that I should have chosen the plain bagel because it was competing all the other flavors. I got a Dasani to drink then I discovered that they sell individual tea bags. $2.02 for the cup of hot water and tea seems a little steep to me. Overall I had a good experience and would recommend this place based on food,friendly staff. read more

First of all let me just say that I am from Brooklyn, New York and I know a good bagel when I taste one. This place is a disgrace and they should change their name to "Rotten Apple Bagels." Having just moved down here from New York I am pretty sick and tired of all the 4 and 5 star reviews given to restaurants purporting to be "authentic". People have NO IDEA what good food is down here and I'm just finding that out. Read some of the reviews below where people have given a great review but mention "weird smell" , "paper that separates the cheese still in my sandwich" and "service wasn't that great and they looked at me funny". Why on earth would you give a good review when you had to experience any of the above mentioned things??? This place wouldn't last a week in New York. I had pre ordered and PAID for some bagles and veggie cream cheese a few days ago and went to pick it up today. As usual I entered the store and no one greeted me (fourth time), and walked up to the counter and asked for my pre order. The girl working there acted as if I was ruining her day by actually making her "work" so she grabbed my order and plopped it on the counter. They close at 3 PM today but were busy cleaning up the store in hopes that no other pesky customers would come in so they could go home early. I noticed there was no veggie cream cheese and asked her about it, to which she replied "choose your own cream cheese over there". I told her I didn't see any veggie cream cheese and she said "well we ran out" then turned around and walked away from me. She didn't even apologize or offer an alternative. Very rude and unprofessional and to make matters worse Keith the owner was there and he just stood silent as if he was used to his employees treating customers this way. Do yourself two favors - ignore the positive reviews below and head out to Bagles Plus. read more

This is a great place for breakfast while in Lutz. My favorite was the apple pie bagel! Nothing better than dessert for breakfast!

I love bagels. I've tried every spot in the area that I know of and Big Apple Bagles is my hands down favorite. The French toast and the apple pie bagels are my favorites. The jalapeno is a nice change and the salt bagel is one of the best in the area. Don't forget about the muffins and the sandwiches. Muffins are fresh baked and amazing, they are a hit for bringing to the office. So much better than donuts. The southern tradition breakfast sandwich on a croissant is great, I get the bacon crispy and sub for cheddar cheese. I stop here more than I should! Can't go wrong. read more

Husband and I ordered the Lox and the Spicy Italian. They were both very good. You can tell that they have use good quality products and they are generous with their toppings. I didn't get the chance to sit down and enjoy our bagels, we called in ahead 5 minutes before they were closing. Next time I will go and sit down. We also ordered 2 ice coffees. The coffee was good. When you walk in this place the aroma is enough to make your mouth water. Their muffins (especially the cute mini ones...chocolate cheesecake? Yes PLEASE!) are AWESOME and the bagels too! This is a great bagel shop! I have been here a few times before and have always enjoyed the meal. This time I got the lox and cream bagel with everything. I got the plain bagel with onion chive cream cheese. The salmon was fresh and the cream cheese was tasty and the bagel was the perfect amount of doughy and crunchy. I also got a white mocha coffee that was pretty good. It is a nice little shop and there are various items you can choose from. The workers were friendly and immediately took our order. When the order was ready they just called out the item ordered, so make sure you listen up for your item. Overall, the food was delicious, pricing is good, and good customer service. I will not be back. I went in to order a "mini deal". It comes with six bagels and a small cream cheese. We were going to get coffee and sit in the dining area and eat two of the six bagels toasted. I was told to put two bagels through the toaster I had to pay the dozen price. When I Inquired further I was told it's a small upcharge. They have a belt toaster running all day. If I'm buying six bagels I shouldnt have to pay extra to eat it toasted in their dining room. We abandoned our purchase and left. This is them trying to monetize what is essentially a customer service matter. If someone buys six bagels and asks may I have two toasted, the answer is "Yes sir"! read more

The bagels are VERY good. Coffee meh. Also, when I walked in I wasn't sure where to go (you order at the first counter/pay at the second). That could be a me thing I was low on coffee this AM. :) I had the southern classic sandwich on a toasted everything bagel. Again, bagel was great. Soft but chewy on the outside. Yum! The eggs seemed like eggbeaters and the sausage was likely some off brand frozen patty. Cheese was the same - some off brand american slice. To put it bluntly, the fillings did the bagel no justice. I have to say the lady at the counter was a total dear. She told me about ordering without making me feel stupid and I watched as she interacted with her regulars... She is EXACTLY the person you want to work at a breakfast place. Smiling, kind and highly engaged with her customers. This place is cute and our area lacks this type if charm. I'm forgiving the sandwich filling and adding a star for service. I'll be back but maybe just for a bagel and cream cheese next time. read more

I'm not sure I need to write a review based on the amount of people in this place on a Saturday morning this place is great. We ordered a bagel sandwich, a plain bagel with butter, one latte and one coffee. The food came out fast and hot. The bagels melt in your mouth. So good! The latte was perfect. They have about 6 flavors of coffee and free refills. This place was packed but they moved people through the line quickly. There is outdoor seating (bring your dog!) this place met our expectations and beyond. Everyone is friendly. Great food, great service. We love it. read more

Best bagels in the area. I have had to order for large groups, and they always did a fabulous job, even when I called them at 6:00 A.M. for a 7:00 A.M. pick-up time. When going with my family, we enjoy our breakfast bagel and order an extra dozen, pre-cut (they do for an additional .50, which is well worth it), and bring them home and freeze them.
