Nice little place for breakfast in the heart of Brentwood. Cost is quite reasonable. The food and coffee were tasty. I had a waffle and some sausage. My wife and daughter had breakfast sandwiches. Lovely local café that's my top recommendation for nearby crepes! Though they have other food offerings, the crepes are my favorite - usually ordering one sweet and one savory (to share). Their specialty lattes are solid; I often get the Eiffel Tower or Dulce de Leche. The Best Chocolate Bar Ever latte is a sweet chocolate caffeine fix as well. The Perch is a smaller spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, first come first served; guests order and pay at the counter, then are given a number, and food/drinks are brought to your table. Prices are not cheap, but the food and drinks are reasonable and reliable. This spot is a gem, and you never know who you'll see here. Also, I love that they do punch cards (buy 10 coffees and get 1 free, if I'm not mistaken) - even though I usually forget to bring my existing card and keep starting a new one. read more

One of those hidden gems in Nashville/Brentwood that never disappoints. I go here a few times a year and wonder why I don't come back more often. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The crepes are always amazing! The coffee is consistently very good. The vibe is great; really love the "old house" style. I ordered the I Love Bacon crepe with the Candy Bar latte and I'd definitely order them both again! I'd say my favorite crepes so far have been the Mexican style and the Nutella banana. They do have more than crepes; they offer really good breakfast burritos that I'd definitely recommend as well. If you're ever in the area, I'd say it's well worth the stop. read more

I have been to The Perch enough to know what I like and do not like. I do not like the prices as I can't make sense of spending $12-15 on a lunch meat crepe. However, sometimes that is what I'm in the mood for and I'll do it. This is not one of my proudest moments, but it IS good. You can't go wrong with their dessert crepes. They make more sense to me than their savory crepes when it comes to the value you get for your money. With the savory crepes, I feel you're limited in what you can put inside and the salad that comes with the crepe is filler for what you don't get inside the crepe. Let me tell you one thing that remains steadfast - their gouda grits. Oh my goodness, how I love their grits. You can't really mess this up, and it is hearty. I'm a grits kind of girl plus it is delicious anytime of year. Some might feel this is better in the cooler months, but I beg to differ. They offer coffees, teas, and bottled beverages. I usually stick to water since I am basic. I'm not a coffee drinker unless it is in an expresso martini. They do not serve any alcoholic beverages here. I don't like sitting inside because I feel like it's a little crowded, so I am definitely one who enjoys the patio. Good luck and securing a spot because it is first come, first serve on all seating, both for indoor and outdoor. It is pretty ample, so usually one doesn't have to wait long to secure a seat. Service isn't really a thing. They bring your food to you, but otherwise, it is strictly counter service. They give you a number and they'll bring the food to you at your table once it is ready. Parking is in a shopping plaza shared with other businesses. You won't have an issue with it. It's a pretty straightforward process on this account. If I had to describe most of my experiences here, I suggest patience. It is a small space of where they're preparing your meals and beverages. It is also super small where the line forms often blocking the door to enter and exit. If you can get past that, you'll be fine. read more

A cute little restaurant that I stopped in for a crêpe and coffee. I ordered the perch crêpe which has eggs, bacon, and cheddar cheese. It took 11 minutes for breakfast to be served. I don't know about you, but the server should've asked if there was anything I wanted to put on the crêpe, like Cholula hot sauce or? I ultimately located the packets of Cholula and that finished off a decent egg, bacon and cheddar cheese crêpe. Drip coffee was good. The prices are fair and there's lots of parking. The Perch has been a staple for me for years, failed to review until now. About a decade ago I worked nearby and would come frequently - always enjoyed the vibes indoor and outdoors. My go-to crepe is the Florentine and my favorite espresso drink is the Eiffel Tower (vanilla + hazelnut) and the Campfire in the fall (white chocolate+cinnamon), though all their creations are all good - quality espresso roast and Monin syrups! I have also tried several savory and a few sweet crepes and never disappointed. Staff is friendly. It's a smaller establishment so it can take a while if they are busy. Fun spot to get crepes!! Limited seating inside, but plenty of outside seating when it's nice. What I had: Ham and Cheese Crepe with Mustard: 8/10 - If you love mustard, you can't go wrong this one! The spinach was a perfect add when it comes to texture, and I would get it again! S'more's Crepe: 7/10 - Overall, this was pleasant, and I really did like the chocolate filling inside. However, crepe wasn't super filled, and I felt that the graham cracker crumbs on the inside dried the whole thing out a bit. It also tasted very much of powdered sugar, which wasn't the most exciting thing. This was a limited edition crepe, and didn't live up to my aspirations, but still good! Solid and unique breakfast/lunch shop (and an institution in Brentwood) serving up crepes, Portuguese muffin breakfast sandwiches, decent coffee, amongst other (primarily breakfast-y) items. Gets busy and crowded after 8:30 am on weekends and keep in mind, orders for a crepe, omelette, or waffle can take 10-15 minutes to make, so while they do takeout, you should plan your time accordingly. Having eaten crepes in Paris, I wouldn't compare the quality here to what's available there, but I certainly thought the consistency was decent for when I really have a craving for a crepe. The sweet crepes, omelette, and Belgian waffle (which comes decadent with toppings and powdered sugar) are the stars of the menu. Nice outdoor seating that is dog friendly and private parking lot makes this a solid breakfast/brunch find. read more

I went to Brentwood for a work trip, and our hotel was about .3 miles from this spot. Their staff was really friendly, and the drinks were good. I def recommend adding an espresso shot to the large size if you prefer a darker latte, LOL. I tried the Eiffel Tower and one other latte, both great. No food this trip from this spot. Love living so close to the perch and will note that their breakfast sandwiches are some of the best around! The guy at the griddle works incredibly hard. I find it challenging to stop in there quickly though because often times the coffee dispensers are out, so we have to wait about 15-20 minutes for them to be refilled. We've even tried calling ahead with an order and the drink is only made once you get there. It would be great if they found a workaround for this or a system as I'd love to continue to support this establishment but it's happened every-time I've gone. read more

This place was amazing! Fist off we got honey lavender lattes in both iced and hot and they were both 100/10, one of the best lattes I have had! Then we ordered the Nordic crepe but they were out of the ingredients, so we ended up getting the lemon sugar crepes with strawberries and a bowl of Gouda grits. The grits were so cheesy and good and the bowl was HUGE! The crepes were the perfect consistency and adding the strawberries just brought it to the next level. The service was amazing! Because we had wanted the Nordic crepe and they ended up being out of the ingredients, they made us an extra crepe and brought it to our table free of charge to make sure we got to try a savory one! 100/10 this is definitely a place to try! read more

We came here one morning for breakfast as it was close and walking distance from our hotel. The place is super cute and looks like an old southern house with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is shaded and the place is adorable. They are a coffee house that also is known for crepes and other breakfast food and pastries. I had the s'mores coffee and a pumpkin spice latte on two different occasions and both were phenomenal. They have three sizes for the coffee. If you come here you HAVE to get the breakfast sandwich. This was hands down the BEST breakfast sandwich I've ever had in my entire life. It was simple bread, cheese, a fried egg, and bacon but it was amazing. The bread is Portuguese muffin and I believe it is the reason it taste so phenomenal. Everything is cooked to order so it is fresh. I ordered about 5 of these sandwichs. My friend had the crepes one day too and loved them but it did not compare to that breakfast sandwich. This will be my go to in Nashville!! read more

And the wait is no joke. Our food took over 30 mins and we only ordered breakfast sandwich and a Nutella crepe. The coffee did come out first in a reasonable amount of time. We were starving by the time the food came out. The food was fine. The Portuguese style English muffin was unique and better than regular English muffin. The crepe was decent. The portion was small and we were all still hungry afterwards. What a great find as I traveled to Brentwood TN (in the burbs of NASH). Great vibe wirh quiet relaxing music, locals having coffee dates and meetings. The menu was extensive with the coffee and tea selections. I opted for the decaf Eiffel Tower lotta with hints of vanilla and hazelnuts! Wow! What deliciousness! Food is ok, but the service is bad! The people who work there make you feel you didn't pay for your food. They require you to put your dirty dishes back to a specific location. What does my tips paid for? This is a ridiculous place. When I was leaving, I tried to get a cap for my coffee as I dropped the old one. I went to the counter and the guy there made an eye contact but turned his head away. So I said " excuse me" trying to get his attention. Suddenly the crepe guy gave a judgmental look while shaking his head, "You should be more patient." He said. Do not order through Yelp for this business. I did and an hour of my time was wasted as well as my card being charged (I'll get the refund in 3-5 days they say but still it's a hassle that wasn't necessary). When I called the establishment, despite getting an email from Yelp saying this business received my order, the business was very confused and not at all helpful. It was not suggested that I place my order through them on the phone or anything. They just had no solutions. And now I'm stuck using time I really do not have to find another dining option. Ate here today, Sunday 5/4. I live out of state. Ordered a coffee and a crepe. While ordering the girl who was ringing me out gave me such a dirty look/attitude when I asked her a question. She had dirty brown hair, don't know the name. Looked tired and annoyed. Anyway I waited at least 15 mins just to get the coffee then the crepe followed shortly after. The crepe was delicious but nothing else about this place stands out to me. You also have to clear your own plate which is weird to me, but hey im from the north. The never ending search for Cozy coffeehouse with good food brought us here. On a Saturday morning the place was buzzing, we found it rather easy to pick out our coffee choices. A raspberry chocolate latte was my choice and it hit the spot and was ready fairly quickly. My sweet wife chose the Nordic, smoked salmon crepe. I opted for the blueberry waffle and beet and goat cheese salad with chicken. An unlikely pairing but very good. My only gripe was the wait for the food, but being a busy time with such a small place and the fair warning when placing our order it was at least known. Given the quality of the food it speaks to the freshness they offer. They have a few tables outside and we took advantage of the sunny morning.
