Came in on a Saturday morning and the wait was moderate, but the staff handled the rush really well--tables were cleared quickly and people were seated efficiently. I ordered the Low Land Skillet and it was excellent--great balance of flavors and textures without feeling too heavy. The cold brew was also above average, smooth and nicely strong. I just happened across this place this morning and stopped in for breakfast. I liked it. The food was very good. The staff were very friendly and the service was good. The food came out quickly. It's different from typical breakfast chains, although our server told us they had locations in Nashville and Spring Hill. They had plenty of parking and they did have some Alcoholic beverages. Most entrees were from about $10 to $15. I will go back as there were other dishes I want to try. All of the food we saw coming out of the kitchen looked good. I met friends the first time and went w my husband the second time. 1st visit I had one of the "BIG BAD SPECIALTIES," Oyster Scramble for $16.10. It sure wasn't worth what i paid for it! There were so few, I couldn't find them on my plate, and I couldn't taste them. Bummer, I love oysters! I was really hoping this would be a menu item i would order often in the future. Nope, never again! 2nd visit I ordered the "Screamin Demon $15.25 Crispy Fried Chicken on a Potato Bun with Tomato, Lettuce, Pickles, Mayo and Comeback Sauce. Served with a Side." My side was the Crispy Hash Cake. It was recommended by another patron. Why? Idk! It appeared to look like the hashbrowns served at Waffle House, but Waffle House's are much better! The sandwich was just average. I by far prefer a Chick-Fil-A sandwich over this one, and it's half the price! Whatever my husband ordered wasn't impressive enough to even remember. He didn't like his entree nor this place. We both decided there are so many good places in town that serve better quality food at more reasonable prices, that we'll go to them from now on. I don't see Big Bad Breakfast lasting long-term, if they don't step up their game and do what's necessary to remain in competition with the other breakfast restaurants. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! Food is decent so go there periodically Had lunch there today First it was not busy at all but the host chose to clean tables instead of seating us so waited unnecessarily. Then when we did sit down there was only 2 other tables but our server Lauren decided to check on a ladies table 5 times yet we had to literally get up and go to the barista to check on our drink. I would literally have to call her to check on us and she didn't hear me 1 time I'm assuming. The ironic thing is we are in the industry so we tip well usually even for mediocre service. So we would have tipped her better than the lady she wanted to check on over and over. As always, another great experience at BBB! We changed it up and went for an early lunch rather than brunch or breakfast and it was awesome! My wife had the smashburger and I had a ham po-boy, which reminded me a lot of the Cuban sandwiches I've had growing up in Miami. Well, food was great! But our "concierge", Bre, was even more amazing! I call her that because she offered us things that we didn't even know we wanted. But we DID WANT THEM! lol, for instance she told us how she loves having the house ranch sauce with her fries. My wife loves ranch with her fries so she was all for it! And Bre was right. Then before we left she offered to bring me an iced tea, which was what I was drinking, to go since it would be a hot day. And again, she was right! This place had me super excited but has left me a bit let down. Upon arriving and looking over the menu, I was shocked to see tomato gravy on the menu. It's something I was only introduced to about a year ago by a dear friend with strong Louisiana roots. I knew instantly I wanted to try the tomato gravy and narrowed down my options based on that choice. Ultimately I picked the steak and eggs and that's where things went a little south. Ordered my steak medium, eggs sunny side up, opted for the biscuit and chose the tomato gravy as my side. I also added on a side of sausage gravy, as an additional side because this southern girl loved her some sausage gravy and I thought if nothing else, I'll put the stuff in my eggs. First bite I went in for the tomato gravy, but pulled out a huge twig of Thyme from inside my bowl. Fishing that out also removed a ton of gravy I would have liked to have actually eaten. The tomato gravy was excellent! Perfectly seasoned, complex, very good. The biscuit had great flavor but a little over cooked and just dry and crumbly. The eggs a perfect sunny side up. That extra side of sausage gravy.... Had no sausage in it, or salt whatsoever. The steak..... bad. The thinnest cut that you can't possibly even cook to temp, grisly, hard hunks of inedible matter and lacking any form of sear. Looked boiled almost. And then the homemade steak sauce was ice cold, so every bite of steak was also ICE COLD. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I had my eye on the BLT Omelette or the biscuit crumble and wish I'd gone that route. read more

Any place that boldly calls itself "Big Bad Breakfast" is going to get my attention in the best way possible. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, so my expectations for this particular place were HUGE. The venue itself is bright and airy, but the tables seemed to be packed in pretty tight. Also, it was our server's first day on the job, so there were a couple hiccups here and there but nothing dramatic. The menu had all kinds of unique breakfasts. I had to try the Huevos Rancheros & Grits because I love both of those separately but wanted to see what they were like together. I was so impressed that I'm going to try making this at home and getting it in my regular cooking rotation! I came back again with a couple friends and ordered the Chicken & Waffles. The chicken had a bit of a spicy kick to it, which worked out great with the honey drizzled over it. The missing star is for the confusion created when we were seated the second visit. We weren't assigned a server, so the manager had to take up the reins and watch our table. This led to delays in getting our orders. I'd consider coming back here again, though. read more

Whenever we're in Nashville, or one of the nearby towns, we always look for new breakfast places to try. My daughter found Big Bad Breakfast in Franklin and we all loved it. One of the perks for us was that the wait wasn't too long on a Saturday morning (as is the case with many places). I ordered the Big Bad Breakfast skillet with a biscuit. The food was excellent. The biscuit was actually different with a pepper kick. Blackberry jelly on the biscuit was perfect! My wife and daughter had omelettes which looked delicious as well. The only issue keeping this review from 5 stars was that both my cappuccino and my daughter's latte were served lukewarm (I should have asked for a hot one, but didn't). This is a great option for those in Franklin looking for a great breakfast. I know we'll be back! read more

We have just recently started to dine at BBB for brunch at two locations in Williamson County -- our first here in Franklin. Fun hip vibe. Pleasant and attentive staff. Robust & tasty menu choices. Tried the Waffle & Chicken dish yesterday -- amazing zesty flavors. The spicy bacon is very good. The adult beverage selection is fun and interesting -- love the coffee infused Breakfast Dude! This location is one of my favs family atmosphere.Charolette Pike location food still good wait seems to be longer ( we are usually there around 10 ) less seating so attributed longer wait times . Had the huevos-ranchero grit bowl and it was excellent. Seth was a great waiter. Bowl featured grits (obviously), chorizo, guacamole, fresh salsa, black beans, two poached eggs on top. Just the right level of spicy. Highly recommend it. read more
