Temporarily Closed Until Further Notice sign

Drove from the north side of Indy to Brownsburg just to try Big Bear Biscuit. Since the closed their location on 96th St, we tried to call this location on our way. We received no answer. When we arrived on 8/9/25, we found a note on the door that they were temporarily closed until further notice. See pictures. As a result, I cannot rate this establishment on the service or the food. I gave them a one rating because I wish they had an answering machine that told visitors that they were temporarily closed. If so, I would not have made the 30 minute drive. I've notified the yelp administrators of the note on the door. Recommend calling them before you visit the location. If there is no answer, they may be closed.

We were looking for a great breakfast spot in Brownsburg and found big Bear biscuits. They were not particularly slammed on a Sunday morning, but continued to get busier as we dined. Our server was very friendly and gave us great selection insight. I had the hot chicken on a biscuit and added a fried egg on top. It was outstanding. The server also provided the jalapeño jam and a strawberry jam. Both were fantastic. If you're out in Brownsburg, this is a great spot. The restaurant is in great condition and is very clean.

I was in town visiting and my sister's and I wanted to try this establishment. The restaurant was very clean and quaint, it wasn't very many people in there at the time. The service was actually great, and the food was mediocre. Definitely not what I expected to taste. The best part about the breakfast was the coffee.

Fairly new brunch spot with lots of room for the breakfast crowds! We tried the biscuits & sausage gravy and their Smokey dish, both were very good and my Bellini was perfect as well! Our server was very sweet, I believe her name was Christine, she also gave us a punch card for future visits! Will be coming back!

Good breakfast spot! The loaded home fries and biscuits and gravy were our favorites. Service was good! It's kind of hidden in the middle of a strip mall. Inside is small but had plenty of open seats.

Very disappointed in Big Bear Biscuit. The biscuit was dry hard on top and bottom and not served with anything. No butter, honey, jelly nothing. My over Med eggs were over easy , not cooked to Med. Friend ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. They forgot cheese. Server took it back and and had cheese put on top but they didn't take the time to melt it. Other friends sandwich had a glob of aoli on it and her cheese never melted. The chocolate gravy was super disappointing. Very bitter. I grew up with scratch made chocolate gravy and mine is so much better. Our server... I hope she was new. She was slow and forgetful. Asked about nut allergies and the gravy. She forgot to ask. Had to ask her again. Asked for ice and butter. Brought the ice forgot the butter. Servers should know the basics of how items are made. They could have turned the dining room twice over if service was more spot on efficient. We all said we wouldn't go out of our way to come back.

I was excited to learn that Big Bear was opening in Brownsburg because I've heard great things about their other location. But reading the Yelp reviews for the Brownsburg location made me hesitant to visit. I finally tried it and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. My husband and I had a great brunch. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered the Petting Zoo and all of the flavors worked so well together. The portion was big enough that I took half home. And the pimento cheese grits were also very yummy. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy and said it was very good. The coffee was fresh and brewed to perfection. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Soooo let's start by saying I'm not a "biscuit" person per se. Went in not expecting to be impressed, and we'll, I was impressed. And since I'm not a biscuit person, I asked for recs. Tried The Hibernator. Very large portion-was able to take it home and have another meal. I even loved the potatoes, and they reheated well! I had the "Drink Your Juice, Shelby" mimosa flight. Absolutely loved it. Juices rotate, depending on what they have in stock, but I believe they are all Natalie's. They were on the day I was there. Also very nice people and service. Maybe I like biscuits now!

Big Bear Biscuits has been our list for awhile - my boyfriend loves biscuits and gravy. This place definitely lived up to its hype with great, fluffy biscuits and a cute ambiance. The portions are giant, so either be ready to be stuffed, split a dish or take some home. Service was good, everyone was very friendly, but they're still working out some kinks. Definitely recommend!

New spot that just opened in Brownsburg and I'm glad I finally stopped in. It was busy so getting a table for 1 would have been a 20-30 minute wait so I opted to sit at the bar and after studying the menu opted for the Breakfast benedict. As food was coming out of the kitchen, I knew I would be happy and full after my meal. The biscuits are huge but soft and fluffy and baked to perfection. Everything was great about the meal except the fruit which was a bit more tart than I was expecting. Overall, a great filling breakfast. I didn't ask if you can call ahead for a table but definitely something yo consider if you plan to eat here.

Best biscuits hands down. Very reasonably priced. Exceptional service and hearty portions make this breakfast spot a must. What the restaurant lacks in decor and ambiance is more than made up for with just sheer quality of the food served and the delightful staff that serves it. Flavorful and fresh, the most voracious appetites will be dated with one of their original biscuit creations.

Thankful for a Blue-Beary Latte to go on this rainy Monday morning! Greeted right away and very quick service on my to go order! Everyone was friendly and helpful! Quiet atmosphere inside as everyone was too busy enjoying their orders.

My second time at Big Bear Biscuit today! My experience today was better than my first. I got a waffle today and it was really good. I got a biscuit as my side with jelly and saved it for later. The biscuits are just as good if you heat them up in the microwave a couple hours later. The biscuits are huge and really are extremely tasty. Today the service was pretty slow. We went around 9:00 am (Sunday) and it was pretty dead. It took about 45 minutes to get our food which isn't terrible but I'm used to breakfast places being a little faster. By the time we left there was a huge line! So if you go a little early, you shouldn't have to wait long! Loved the latte I got! Definitely will be going back!

We split a bowl of soup and they kindly served it in separate bowls for us, which I appreciated. The soup of the day was corn chowder and wow, I was surprised how good it was, I do love soups. I'd never tried corn chowder before, but it was creamy, flavorful, and comforting. I ordered the half salad/half sandwich combo. The smoked salmon niçoise salad had a blend of interesting flavors and the dressing paired perfectly with it. For the sandwich, I chose the BLTEA, and unfortunately this was the disappointing part of the meal. The avocado on it was clearly overripe/bad, so dark, mushy, and it gave the sandwich an unpleasant taste. I removed as much as I could, but it still affected the flavor. It was a bummer because this spot usually tastes very fresh. I've had it before and the avocado was fresh, along with the orchard salad which I loved. I would say the orchard salad is my fave. They make their dressings homemade and the dressing for the orchard salad was delicious. The service was still very friendly, and since they were slammed busy, I didn't feel like making a fuss about it. Everything else we had was enjoyable. The inside is small and quaint since it's a house turned restaurant, so it has a cozy but lively ambiance when crowded. One of the best perks here is definitely the made from scratch desserts. I love checking out the dessert case because the staff will happily explain each option and answer questions. There's something oddly satisfying about watching them slice the desserts too. I took a lemon cheesecake to go and absolutely loved it. I've also tried the blackberry wine cake which is a staple and delicious. A seasonal dessert that was really good was the pumpkin pie.
