I'm always excited to try new places that bring variety to our community. Hendricks county needs more brunch spots and while I would eventually try this again, it was not as impressive as I was hoping it would be. Despite not having very many customers, service was incredibly slow; taking 15 minutes just to get a couple of lattes and hot chocolate. We were celebrating a birthday so there was a group of 4 and we ordered different items; an omelette, a salad and avacado toast. I appreciated that they let me make substitutions to the Robins nest. I wanted the caramelized onions but they weren't on the list to build your own omelette. The portion was large and filling, I was just sad that I wasn't given the option for a coulis or compote but received butter instead. The salad had all of the components that was listed but was lacking in portion and dressing and for the price fell short. Our real disappointment came with the Avacado Toast (which 3 of us almost ordered and we're glad we didn't). When it came, we could not find any actual avacado, instead there was a very thin (and brown) layer of pureed avocado. We asked the waitress if it was missing and she pointed and said No, this is it. We asked if we could have an actual avocado for the avocado toast and were told that they did not have any that were ripe. We assume the last ripe one went onto the salad we had ordered. They did bring out a side of the pureed avocado but it was clearly old and did not taste right so it was not eaten. Unfortunately, this experience and the waitresses handling of it, left a bad taste in our mouth (literally for one of us) and put a damper on the beginning of our day. I went here on what was supposed to be their Grand Opening Day, therefore, I hlguess I somewhat expected there to be at least a slight fanfaire. Let me start out highlighting what they did well. I and my daughter got the Spring Platter to share, which included small pancakes, French toast Bites and a Blueberry compote with what appeared to be homemade whipped topping at the side. Plenty to share and in my opinion it tasted yummy! I also ordered the Sampaga which is an iced matcha with a Jasmine apricot cold foam and loved it! The decor was cute and classy with several good photo ops. Here are the things that were unexpected. I've been to several Grand Openings and I guess I've come to expect certain things when celebrating an opening. This Grand Opening fell short in a couple of categories. The most important thing I expect is to be welcomed and greeted upon entering and yet as we came inside nobody was there to greet us and when a waitress did come over she didn't say anything and so I asked her if we should seat ourselves. She then told me that she would. Very underwhelming. She walked us two steps and motioned to a table that was right there by the door and I asked if instead we could sit at one of the booths since we also had my grandchildren with us. We then had to ask for a high chair. We got directed to the booth and she put water at the table yet when I went to pour my cup it had something on it and when I told her instead of taking my word she held it up and kept turning it around and asked if I was sure... These things left a bad taste in my mouth and had the food not been good then I would have been less likely to return. I understand giving grace when a restaurant is new, but I know this owner had a restaurant in another town before so it wasn't like This was a new venture. We didn't feel like we had come to a new spot. The balloon arches, welcome and excited waitresses and staff were all missing and the wilted rose on our table didn't quite say 'new'. Maybe I expected too much, but in my book being kind and welcoming goes a long way to earn my service. Tried this place for the first time and it was ok. Asked the waitress what was in the drinks as they had some fancy names and she said she didn't know. Had to look up the ingredients myself. Food was ok- nothing fancy but way over priced for what you get. Drinks were good as well but again over priced. We ordered French toast- was good, apple pancakes- which was literally pancakes with raw cut up apples on top. A ham and cheese burrito which was good however the potatoes that came as a side looked like they had been dehydrated and were not good. Was over $100 for breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids- nothing fancy and not worth it- won't be back for those prices. read more

Menu is simple, but each item is unique and made from healthy local ingredients! I love the drink selection, such a good range of teas and homemade syrups! The staff were very friendly and attentive and food came out quickly. It's a very cozy spot and there's some cute corners to take pictures! read more

Super cute and friendly brunch spot! Was greeted and seated immediately, I noticed the manager or owner maybe? was speaking to all the tables and thanking them for coming in. Food was good, the omelette was just like how I like it and the home fries were actually really good! The hey, peach pancakes were good too and the raspberry sauce, which all their sauces are homemade, was really light and not too sweet. The pancake syrup was runny though. I really liked the Lucky Strawberry coffee, almost got the masala chai too but stuck with the strawberry. I'd like to come back to try some of the sandwiches and other breakfast items too! read more

Really wanted this to be good, we need another good breakfast place in Brownsburg but it was a disappointment. Ordered the build your own omelette but should be call a stuffed crepe, eggs were so thin and the bottom was scorched to the point it would not cut with my fork I had sausage and cheddar the sausage was thin slices of links just layer on the thin egg then the sausage was tough to eat as it was over cooked cheese was then melted on top, the potatoes were awesome, pancake was just ok. An omelette should be a little fluffy not paper thin. The photo is of how thin the egg of the omelette was and next to is a piece of the sausage that was inside the folded omelette. read more

Tried out this new breakfast/lunch location on the east side of Brownsburg and it was refreshing. The food was freshly made, good ingredients including fruits and breads. They have gluten free options including a sourdough bread substitution for a delicious breakfast sandwich. The home fries were hot and plentiful. Even the fountain drink (coke) tasted old school and was not watered down. Service was very good and our business was appreciated. I think you will enjoy your visit. read more

The worst service and food. I ordered the 3 taco special recommended by the waitress, Ava avocado was brown. Chorizo was overcooked. Just not a good flavor. Another person in our group ordered an omelette that was so greasy, couldn't even eat it. My husband ordered what was supposed to be kind of a lox and bagel. The bagel came cut up and multiple pieces with the salmon on top of it, have never seen it served like that. Waited along time for food and it was brought out in different times. Waitress never refilled coffee, brought water and no glasses, we had to ask someone else for them. Places is expensive Will not be returning read more

This new Brownsburg restaurant could be very good, just take a trip down 74 and see what the master, Borage, does so well. What is wrong? Lazy service. There were at least 6 servers, all gathered around the coffee bar, chatting. There were four tables with customers. I had to flag down someone to get some syrup and a coffee refill. There is no excuse for bad service. That's on management and training. As a menu designer, these scannable menus need some specialized design, not just a PDF of the printed version. I would have loved to have a Latte rather than plain coffee. Servers at a new restaurant need to promote their featured specialties, especially with the digital menus. Cute decor and nice restrooms. Unfortunately, the food was less than impressive for the price point. My avocado toast might have been prepared in a room with an avocado, but none was visible on the bread. I was missing dill which is also a named ingredient in the dish. My over easy egg was perfectly prepared and the smoked salmon was tasty, so it was overall okay. My husband was not a fan of the bacon and described his traditional breakfast also as okay. read more

What a fun new brunch spot! They're making almost everything on their menu from scratch like they're making their own challah bread. My favorite was their home fries but we also ordered and omelette, açaí bowl, cinnamon roll frenchy toast, burrito bowl, and for my son Mickey pancakes. I loved the seasonal jasmine apricot latte with jasmine cold foam. It just seemed like such a great community spot. I hope Brownsburg treats them well because they have a gem of a place. read more

My friends and I met up for coffee at this place and we all couldn't stop talking about their coffee! I believe it was the tortoise or something similar. I also had an omelette and it was one of the best I have ever had. Taking my husband back this weekend! Edit: we came back and had another wonderful experience. Menu is extremely limited. You are not going there for the traditional breakfast. Extremely overpriced. $15 for a thin omelet with barely any ingredients. But the quality of what we ate and drank were very good. Not sure I'll be back. read more
