Had a great first experience at Big Bertha's- had a big crew to feed so we got the Big Momma and we had pizza to spare!!! I really like that you can get so many topping varieties in one pizza- makes it so much easier to have something everyone will enjoy. The crust was heartier than we were anticipating but quite tasty. I ordered the Big Mama Pizza for my son's birthday party. I was able to meet Bertha, she was the one who was making my pizza. She was friendly but when I called to make an order it was kind of difficutlt due to a no one was answering the phone when they open at 10. I left a voicemessage for a call back. I had to make a call back over and over , to get my order on time for my son's birthday party at 1pm. She told me to come at 12pm for pick up. The pizza was not ready for pickup, I had to wait about 15 mins. I was kind of shocked that she didn't offer any plates or napkins. I'm conflicted. I'm thinking that this place is 3.5 stars. I'm feeling benevolent, so I'm rounding up. I ordered 2 big mama pizzas today to be delivered to my office at 11am. They open at 10am, so I started dialing right at 10. I got their voicemail. So I hung up and dialed again. Voicemail. This continued until I finally reached a live person at 10:20am. My office is only half a mile from Big Bertha so I knew they'd get here quickly. They were right on time. The pizzas were prepared as ordered. My complaints are these: 1) the delivery woman told me, next time I order I have to give them at least 1 hour to prepare. I said, I tried to give you one hour but no one answered the phone and I didn't get a live person until 10:20. I can't make someone on their end take my order any sooner if they're not available, right?? 2) she showed up w the pizzas. But nothing else. No plates. Napkins. Red pepper flakes. Parmesan. Nothing!! Thank goodness I was able to find paper goods elsewhere. But come on... how did they think we were gonna eat all that pizza?! 3) have some uniformity in slicing the pizza. 2 big mama pizzas delivered to an office... pretty safe to assume that it will be adults eating the pizza and everyone would like to have a decent size slice. There were thin slivers up to huge slices that were more like 2 slices in one. So. It sucks that we spent almost $100 and got attitude and no supplies. Ok this pizza, has improved and wow, you can taste the love they put in every item!! For some 20 years we have enjoyed this pizza joint! It was our go to for birthday celebrations, school promotions, job promotions, graduations, etc. What's best, is that it keeps improving and bringing our family back!! Check my pictures, see it for yourself! Pizza- has a nice (not to thin) crust and it is crunchy but still soft to enjoy! The flavors of the cheese, the sauce which wasn't drowning the pizza was well balanced with seasonings, and the toppings!! Garlic bread/cheese bread: Ok so this garlic bread is just so darn delicious!! So much flavor and ugh, my favorite from the menu! The cheese bread I had for the first time today! Actually not that bad! I love cheese so tons of cheese on my bread, umm yes!! Chicken wings: Honestly they were delicious!! They had a very nice crispness exterior and the inside was fully cooked and juicy!! They aren't saucy (my preference anyway) but the spicy sauce may be what's baked with the wings and oh man!!!! Listen, I'm gonna be real. I've been to this place twice and it's just not worth going to. The people are very nice, but the reality is the food hasta be good too, and it's just not. First time I went in I got a cheese, pizza and some other pasta. The cheese pizza was OK. Not great, but also not terrible. The pasta was a joke. If you went to Walmart, got a box of angel hair and a can of Ragu with like two of the meatballs premade you would basically have the pasta that they made but better. I went back the other night and ordered the carne Asada pizza, which you would think would be a great combination with pineapple, but it was just terrible. The meat was dry, and the pineapples were massive and chunky, which does not taste good. I even tried putting barbecue sauce on it to try and save it, but it was a unsalvageable. My biggest regret is that I didn't just get a medium size, I went with the large, which was four dollars too many. They also don't serve ice cream anymore and said they stopped during Covid which I don't really understand. I definitely won't be going again. read more

I work at the local theme park. We have been ordering huge pizzas from this place for over 10 years. They have never let us down and the price is always right! My most recent order was for 1 Big Mama cheese pizza. I ordered at 11am and was told it would arrive in 45 minutes. They even called and told me they were leaving the shop so I had to go make it to the pick up spot. The pizza was HOT and ready to eat when I got to the office. With tip it was 40$ for this very large pizza that fed 12 plus people. I will continue to order from these guy and not some big chain. read more
