After wrestling with my kids, getting them dressed, out the door, and over to the school for their swim lessons, we walked in only to be told again that lessons were cancelled. They sent the cancellation email at 10:30 AM for classes starting at 10:45 AM. That's not enough notice, especially for parents who have to plan their entire morning around this. It's frustrating, it's disruptive, and it's becoming a pattern. When we arrived, two other families were just as upset, so this isn't a one-off issue. This level of unreliability makes it nearly impossible to trust their scheduling or stay committed to their program.

I didn't want to seem rude and make people self conscious by taking pictures with them in it, specially when in bathing suits and lots of young children. With that said, this outdoor pool is beautiful! The parking space is ample. So many places to park. The surrounding area is covered by trees and other outdoor activities including a baseball diamond/field and a very nice skate park. Upon entering, there is a small fee to get in daily. I believe residents receive discount to and there are passes available. As soon as we entered the swimming area, I was really impressed! Plenty of spaces to sit. In the shade, sun, a bit further away, many options. There is a shallow pool with lots of fun activities and slides for the young kids. That pool is 1FT deep and it's perfect for families. There's another pool with a basketball game another cool slide and zip tie pool plunge. On the far right there's an area with the long, tall slides ! These are new and look so fun. A bit further behind is a lap pool with diving boards. Unfortunately we came on a day with poor air quality and they had to close early. But we did enjoy 2 hours worth of swimming. There is an additional indoor pool and we were encouraged to swim there. We decided to go home. There's a confession stand that we didn't get to try and I haven't seen the fitness center yet. I honestly can't wait to come back, best pool in the area. Not too packed, big, fun, plenty to do. Loved !

There was a camp with hundreds and hundreds of children running around. They didn't all listen to the lifeguards. There were no chairs available -- that's on us, we should have come at opening, but it was wildly overcrowded and then another camp with even younger children arrived. My kids are young teen/tween age and excellent swimmers but it's more crowded than a Great Wolf Lodge on a holiday with a lot less supervision. I felt awful for the lifeguards. We'll likely come back on a weekend because the facilities are great but the amount of children vs adults/older teens is honestly hard to imagine and felt very stressful.

I loved the video monitors and the fact that the pools were raised so I could be there watching from the side with my one year old without worrying about her falling in. I didn't need to get in the pool. Rich was an excellent coach. He had unending patience with my child (can I borrow some of that?!) and by the end of the swim lesson she had made a lot of progress. She trusted him quickly and laughed a lot. When we left she said 'I loved it!' Can't wait to go back. Shower facilities were excellent. They have a machine that fast dries your swim suit. We are obviously not competitive swimmers, but the technology available there is impressive. Even as an outsider, I can understand the benefits of having video monitors to replay your stroke and compare it to that of other swimmers while your coach talks you through it. I don't know of any other swim facilities like this in Montgomery County, MD.

What I like about Life Time is there is no annual contract, so you can do month to month. This location is the best. It has a huge indoor and outdoor pools, large hot tubs and decent Life Time cafe. Their work out area is huge compared to the Potomac location. Yes, this place is expensive. I am paying close to $500 a month for a family of four, so we take full advantage of their facilities. In addition to the pools, they have pickleball classes/sessions/open play, pilates, basketball, cycling and various other classes and such.

He started getting lessons from the teenagers (who always have adult supervision) with his two older sisters. Eventually he and his sisters became the teenagers giving lessons. It was rewarding experience for allmof them. I have watched over the past 13 years parents leaving for RMSC or NCAP and my son never wanted to go. He very much enjoys the flexible practice schedule and is swimming better than he ever has. We have no regrets and cannot thank Joe and his staff enough.
