Actually very yummy! No better spot to grab a mid mountain beer. Often get caught for hours just sitting in those chairs.

The broth was really flavorful and the noodles, veggies, and tofu were great. I was interested in the bread but once I got there, I wasn't too excited about it. However... the sandwiches were delicious! And the bread for the sandwich actually was amazing. We got the leaf eater, and the pesto and hummus on it were really tasty. It made me want to buy the dips themselves. The chocolate chip cookie was thin, but still somehow chewy, a tiny bit crunchy, and buttery. The surprise purchase. I wanted another. There was also a fridge of take home broth, desserts, and dips. Every item we ordered was GREAT! I could have eaten two of each.

They can be slow at times. It can take a long time to make something fresh. Maybe get something from the grab and go if you're in a hurry. They have a lot of convenient things like salads and sandwiches. Prices aren't bad. They're typical of many organic markets, which are higher than many things at regular grocery stores, but with good prices on some things. Cafe opens after the rest of the store opens. They close before the rest of the store closes, so if you can't make it at that time you can get something from the grab and go section. It has a very delicious Thai peanut noodle salad that's great to eat while going out and about. There's also healthy things like falafel and hummus. Go here and grab a few to go items. It can take a long time at the counter to get stuff. The cafe is good for gluten free and vegans.

Very nice location…read more You know you're at a cool restaurant when you have people pulling up on their boat to the dock for a reservation they made for dinner. That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea the next time we come here...West Shore Cafe was pretty good. There were 5 of us so we all ordered a ton of food(see pics). Service was on point and food for the most part was good but there was one item lacking and that was the Truffle Fries. Normally one thing wouldn't bother us so much but a lot of of us are potato connoisseur and especially love Truffle. So the fact that the flavor was absent in the fries was a little of a let down. Easy fix though. I would just add more Truffle Oil or whatever Truffle ingredient you add to the fries. Aside from that, all of us had a really good time and definitely would come back.

The place is gorgeous right next to the lake, you can't get views that close just anywhere! The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was good, but nothing really gave it that wow factor enough to justify their high prices. There's plenty of parking with their own private lot, but my only other complaint is they don't have a lot of food options to choose from. They explained that it's because of the pandemic, but hopefully they figure things out soon so they can expand their menu a little bit more.

Staff were friendly and answered my questions. The restaurant is small, but there was enough seating if people wanted to eat in. Took my order to go. When home and settling in to eat out gyros, we found the food was fresh and tasty. The lamb was exceptionally seasoned and cooked to perfection. I ordered the gyro wrap, which in hindsight probably wasn't the best choice for my personal taste. I wasn't a fan of the lamb strips, as the flavor just didn't really agree with me. I also would have preferred tzatziki sauce over the garlic sauce, and I found the tortilla wrap less satisfying than a traditional stuffed pita. That said, the food was fresh and the staff was friendly. I also noticed other folks in the restaurant had ordered platters, and those dishes looked good. While my particular order didn't quite match my palate, I'd still be willing to return and try one of the platters or salads next time.

The lot was full, but we did take the last spot. The service was good and our food came out pretty quickly as the restaurant was packed, yet there was no one waiting. We ordered the fish and chips which were good. The fries were a bit cold, but the fish was hot and crispy. We also got the elk burger and it was good, but didn't notice a huge difference in the taste. The bbq sauce had a berry flavor and it was good, but not sure if I would enjoy it on the burger. The ambiance was chill and it cleared out pretty good by the time we finished. So if you're headed off the slopes or heading home for the day 3:00 is a good time to stop by with no wait time and good parking.

Ordered chicken sandwiches - chicken avocado and bacon and the buffalo chicken sandwich. Each were $19 without fries (+$5). I don't mind paying for good food, but chicken thighs are not what I thought we were getting. Chicken thigh meat on sandwiches is a definite miss. The meat is greasy tasting. Fortunately I like chicken thighs but not on burgers. Their Moscow mule is not served in a copper mug, and they don't offer WiFi to patrons which is a real bummer since there's no service. As a local Reno family, we've been coming to this restaurant for 10 years but will opt to try a different place next time.

They have a variety of dogs... all beef, Italian sausage, spicy hot link, elk, bison, boar, and beyond brat (vegan). Look for the food truck in the parking lot with a Shell gas station on Highway 50. The dogs are served up plain or you can get them specialized as in a Chicago dog, Sonoran dog, chili cheese, etc. The dogs range $7.50-$15. Plus they got fries$5-13. Those too are served plain or specialized. My faves are the chili fries, Chicago dog, and New York style dog. The chili is no beans and the fries are double fried giving them an extra crispy layer of crust. I do have to tell them light on the onions and mustard because they give you a full bang for your buck and load it up. But Hubs likes it that way. I like to wash it all down with their homemade lemonade. It's the real deal, made with lemons, sugar, and water. The $6 lemonade is served up in a whomping 32 ounce container. Get this, they serve breakfast as well. You can get an egg, cheese, hash brown on an 8 inch Italian roll or bowl. $9.50. Add bacon, sausage or steak $2.50-$4.50 extra.
