With all the great reviews, I decided to give this place a try for lunch since they were conveniently located in the Total Wine parking lot instead of making the trip to Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. I ordered the gyro wrap, which in hindsight probably wasn't the best choice for my personal taste. I wasn't a fan of the lamb strips, as the flavor just didn't really agree with me. I also would have preferred tzatziki sauce over the garlic sauce, and I found the tortilla wrap less satisfying than a traditional stuffed pita. That said, the food was fresh and the staff was friendly. I also noticed other folks in the restaurant had ordered platters, and those dishes looked good. While my particular order didn't quite match my palate, I'd still be willing to return and try one of the platters or salads next time. read more

Stopped in to Wrap It Up and left with a chicken gyro and a lamb gyro. I ordered to go when I arrived, and I watched as they made my order fresh as I waited. Staff were friendly and answered my questions. The restaurant is small, but there was enough seating if people wanted to eat in. Took my order to go. When home and settling in to eat out gyros, we found the food was fresh and tasty. The lamb was exceptionally seasoned and cooked to perfection. I love their lamb gyros! It seems really fresh and good ingredients and they have the lamb that rotates on a roaster and they slice it off. The staff is really friendly and gives off that authentic "My Greek wedding" type of vibe which I love. I almost thought the lady there was going to say I looked too skinny and needed to eat (kidding). If you love a good gyros, this is the place to go. I love lamb, so it order the gyros, but my husband loves the falafel wrap, and the soup. The tiziki sauce is delicious, and the owner is the one who always greets you and takes your order. Nice to see a familiar face when you frequent restaurants. We live north and don't get down south as much as we would like, but we would eat here every week at least if we could. One of my other favorites is the hummus and pita plate. Healthy too. read more

Don't understand why there isn't a line out the door every day. The food is so fresh and flavorful and the family that now own it are friendly, welcoming and they changed the hours so it's now open for dinner which means I can go more often! This used to be one of my favorite places in Reno to eat. It was in my top three. I went in today after not having eaten there in almost a year. It appears that someone else is running the place now and the food has changed. The chicken is flavorless, the rice is a completely different kind of rice, and the potatoes weren't very good. OK, I love this place so don't let the four star fool you - the only thing I really have to say is that sometimes it gets a little crazy busy and that parking lot is not conducive to being in and out if it is packed. One time actually because I always get the Greek Gyro with extra tzatziki on the side and extra in the food ( the charges are acceptable )... my mouth watered from the smell all the way home and took a huge bite only to spit it all out... the meat had been cooked in the wax paper somehow. It was disheartening... But this only happened once and many other times I've had excellently prepared meals , conversations with the workers and everyone seems to be enjoying their food because it's really good! Try the baklava! The restaurant itself has a couple tables inside and a large open area for people that are going in and out. The soda machine is against the wall and toward the front is giant TVs, which are usually playing sports. I'll give you a guess which sport is being watched... it rhymes with locker! This is legit some of the best falafel I've ever had! We stopped in for a quick lunch and my husband got the lamb and raved about it all day. Literally all day. I don't even like lamb that much but the bite I had was so delicately spiced and fell off the bone. I'm hungry thinking about it. I love this place! First, the people who work there are so nice and friendly. They always make fantastic recommendations and are so friendly. Today, we stopped by after a long day and reviewed the menu. The owner suggested the lamb shank special. I was seriously skeptical; however, ordered the lamb shank with a baklava. Wow! Amazing! Everything on the plate was incredible. The lamb was simply delicious, the carrots and potatoes delicious, everything was amazing. My husband truly enjoyed the baklava while also eating half my plate:) we even had the pleasure of drinking Persian tea. I walked in to an empty restaurant and was informed that I could only order takeout because they were closing early that day (this was around 4:30 pm; the door says they're open til 6). I said ok because I wasn't really thinking (read: hungry) and am a fan of gyros/everything on the menu looked so good! I am not sure exactly how early they were closing but the man told me it was to watch football. I get it that football is important to a lot of people (sorry, not me) but just close then. A couple other people came in and picked up orders to go while the other guy made my food. I am not sure how long he thought it would take me to sit and eat one gyro but off I went. Eating in my car reminded me how messy of an experience this could be...don't do it (unless you are far more talented than I am). At least there were a couple napkins in the bag. This is an update from my review a year ago, when I whined a bit about the new owners. We avoided the place for a while, but have recently been frequenting them again and are happier with them now.
