We grabbed sandwiches to go on our way to Tahoe. Food pickup was quick and we were able to order online which was very convenient. They have a variety of hot and cold sandwiches. We were a little disappointed that they didn't have a cold roast beef option though. I got the turkey hummus which was fine, but nothing blew me away. The roasted red pepper hummus didn't have much flavor, it was more like a creamy texture. I got it on French hoagie but it looked more like a wheat roll. Wasn't sure if they ran out or what. Wanting something for lunch...what to do, what to do. Full Belly Deli is not only a local favorite but also a favorite of vistors. Located on the Pioneer Trail, it is not difficult to get to but you have to know that it's there. Opting for something different, I ordered the Breakfast Burrito. Prepared with Eggs, green Chiles, Cheddar Cheese, Salsa and Sour Cream. They can be ordered with Ham, Bacon or Sausage. Or for a real treat you can order the off menu special, Chorizo. For me, a breakfast burrito must have potatoes. I asked if they had potatoes. They said that they could add hash browns. Done. I forgot to say "no chiles" but this turned out to be a good mistake. The chiles added a nice flavor without being hot. The Cheddar creates a welcoming "gooiness" to the texture and the Chorizo was rich, flavorful and not at all greasy. The eggs were fine and the hash brown potatoes added the flavor I needed. Wrapped in a flour tortilla, the breakfast burrito is then tossed on the grill to give the outer crust a nice snap. perfect. Very clean inside, good drink selections, very nice outdoor seating. I overheard somebody recommending this place for breakfast so I decided to try on the way back to Sacramento from Incline. I'd already checked them out on Yelp and I got it seems to be their signature sando "dirka dirka" on jalapeño cheddar (used to get subway sando on this bread") and coffee. The sando was so big and I ate half and save the other half for later. There supposed to be corn beef but I think they only put pastrami but it was still yummy. Really hate to leave a 3 star review here but I don't think I can give any more stars for a 45 minute wait for 2 sandwiches during a late lunch on a random weekday in the fall. We walked in and ordered immediately without a line. There were no indications that the wait would've been long. 45 minutes is insane. The staff looked to be working hard the whole time so they must've had a big order, but anything more than a 15 minute wait for a sandwich deserves at least a warning before a customer orders. And if you have an order that long you should probably alternate between making the big order and regular small orders to keep wait times realistic. We checked in at 20 minutes to see what was wrong and they did apologize for the wait but didn't give us an estimate. Wait area is small (mostly standing only) and we wouldn't have been able to hear our order called from the dining area. The sandwiches were amazing and huge. Will order online while we drive to Truckee next time and see if the service is better. Just super disappointed with this cutting in to our day off at the lake. read more

Great sandwich spot for breakfast or lunch. Many options served cold or warm. Ordered Dirka Dirka and Cuban, and while both were great, I may have liked the Cuban more surprisingly. I already had a hard time choosing which one to eat. Can't wait to go back for breakfast burritos, an easy wrap to take to the hill. Fun place to eat with huge sandwiches. We ate outside with large cover to protect from sun. Sandwich was delicious but more than I could eat. If we go back, we will just split one sandwich. My only draw back was the staff working the cash register.... The employee working the right side of the register (upon entering) had major attitude and was not friendly at all! Upon ordering, she appeared to be annoyed. I should have not left a tip because of that! Terrible customer service! Apart from that, the food came out quick and the workers behind the pick up counter were extremely friendly!! This place is very casual and a great place to get a bite. We had been wanting to try this place since we saw it in DDD. We aren't in the area very often so we had to wait a while before we got to eat here. It is packed but they get you in and out relatively fast. We got four sandwiches, a BLT on sourdough, a build your own turkey in sourdough, a pastrami on wheat, and a dirka dirka. All of the sandwiches were messy to eat but made fresh. The BLT had hot bacon on it which I've never had before. The pastrami was the only disappointment which I'm sure was more to do with ordering choices than the sandwich itself. My son put cheddar cheese on the pastrami and it was like a Philly cheese sauce so he wasn't happy with it. Didn't get pictures, we were too hungry at that point to think of pictures.
