I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl, a saffron chicken wrap, hummus and falafel on the side. The flavors did not do it for me. I love tang but nothing tasted pickled. The hummus had a wierd after taste and a tang that lingered like a bad aftertaste. I understand lemon but it wasn't fresh citrus. I've had such amazing hummus in my life and this did not come close. Falafels arrived warm and they are good. Nothing extraordinary. Hummus came with 1 pita and the texture of pita was off. It did not look or taste like pita. My wrap was saffron chicken wrap with fiery sauce, all veggies and no tomatoes. It was a nice wrap but chicken was scanty. I had to hunt for chicken. Again, their sauces did not do it for me. My husband's chicken shawarma bowl was good. He liked the crispy chickpeas in the bowl. On the plus side, whatever chicken my wrap had, tasted nicely charred. The purple cabbage had nice crunch in the wrap.

I…read morewasn't super hungry, as I'd had a fairly late breakfast, so I was delighted to see that they offer a mini version of their chicken shawarma. Perfect! I took no pictures because I was eating in the car and just dove in, but it was well-wrapped for the journey. I was kicking myself after leaving for not remembering to ask for no onion, only to discover that, thankfully, they didn't put raw onion on it! I was delighted, and this may be the best chicken shawarma I've ever had. The meat was flavorful and plentiful for a small order, and to my utter joy there were strips of pickle tucked in with the meat! It was such a delicious mouthful that I was really wishing I'd gotten the full size after all! It's better that I didn't, and now I can't wait to go back again and try more things, like the shawarma fries! Parking can be difficult so be prepared to hunt and maybe walk a bit. The staff was all woman and while they weren't chatty, they were all diligently doing prep, which is necessary. I honestly can't wait for the chance to come back soon!

First off, parking is a pain, but not unusual for places in this area. And the place, it's sort of a hole in the wall. As a general fan of holes in the wall, didn't bother me, but if you need a place to be spotless and comfortable, maybe not for you. 3 of us, so got the chicken wrap, lamb/beef wrap and lamb/beef arabi style. The best thing was the fries. Perfectly fried and seasoned. The wraps were good. The chicken had a ton of cinnamon, where even my son who loves it was saying, "that's a lot of cinnamon". The lamb/beef was good. Both wraps were big, well built, had great meat to veg to sauce ratio throughout and did not come across too dry like other places. Ask for the spicy sauce. The drinks were interesting. My wife got one of the Freez drinks, which she said was ok. I got a Vimto which had artificial sweeteners in it, which I hate. Serves me right for having a "when in Rome" attitude and not reading the can. Overall, it was good, but would I drive over to go again, probably not. To me, it didn't live up to the hype (3.5 stars and I rounded up), and didn't really set itself apart from other places that are a little cheaper, or more expensive places that are a little better.

The signage is subtle and easy to miss, but once you find it, it's well worth the effort. I first visited during their grand opening and have returned several times since. Without fail, the experience has been excellent. The staff are consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Even during peak hours when the place is packed, I've never waited long to be seated, and the food always comes out quickly. I've worked my way through their menu: doner wraps, kebab plates, and a variety of sides; and every single dish has been a hit. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The consistency here is impressive, which is something I value highly in any restaurant. I already loved Mediterranean food, but BAHO's Turkish offerings really surprised me. Fresh vegetables, bold and flavorful sauces, and perfectly seasoned, savory meats come together in a way that feels both comforting and exciting. Keep in mind that the doner wrap is served in a bag because it can get messy, but if you remember those old Carl's Jr. commercials: "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face". If you're lucky enough to be helped by Boris, you're in great hands. He's incredibly kind, hardworking, and clearly takes pride in making sure guests have a great experience. On my first visit with my cousin, I told him we had no idea what to order, and he set us up with chicken doner wraps and a selection of appetizers. An excellent introduction to the menu that hooked us. Since then, I've brought my wife, friends, and family here, and every single person has walked away impressed. BAHO Mediterranean Cafe has easily become one of my go-to spots, and I can't recommend it enough. Quick update: It turns out that I posted my review too late, as they've been shut down by the city. What a damn shame.

Double Combo Plate - Turmeric Rice - Chicken Shawarma and Gyro Beef - The Works (Everything included) - Tzatziki sauce - Falafel (Side) - Waffle Fries (Side) Okay, the presentation of the combo plate wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing, but I looked past it. Unfortunately, the chicken and beef were lacking in flavor and were pretty dry. The portions were generous, though the gyro beef was sliced pretty thin. The veggies were actually fresh, which was a plus. The hummus was on the lighter side flavor-wise, while the Baha Ghanouj had a solid roasted aftertaste. The Achilles spread was... interesting. It was very fatty with a garlic aftertaste. It just wasn't my thang. The waffle fries were cool. They were fried well and had a good crunch, but nothing special. The falafel, though, was pretty disappointing. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch. They were very crunchy, but had a weird dish-soap aftertaste that I couldn't get past. I couldn't finish the rest. Sorry, but I'll be on the lookout for another Mediterranean spot.

My plate was so spotless that my daughter could not help making fun of me. The restaurant also offered additional sauces if you wanted to enhance the flavor. I tried them all and everything blended together so perfectly. This restaurant concept is self-service--we prepaid for the food and picked it up when it was ready. Since it wasn't busy, the staff brought the food to us and took our dishes away rather than us having to drop the dirty dishes in the assigned area. The staff is extremely friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the service is top-notch. I will be back to check out other dishes. Highly recommend!

And finally, the last person in this group will retire at the end of 2026 (well earned)! So if we are not all traveling, maybe we can actually get together more often...? Dare to dream. Okay, today we got the following. It was more than enough for all us light eaters. Actually, I was surprised how much we all actually ate, compliments to the chef. Beef Shawarma - Tender beef, good mix of beef and veggies. Good flavors. Chicken Shawarma - My plate, I finished most of it and had my daughter finish the rest. I got rice, falafel (my daughter ate 3.5 of the 4, lol), and fries as sides. I could have used more fries, but that was probably a good thing I did not. Mansaf - The lamb was so tender. My daughter took half of this to-go. Lamb Shawarma - Again, a very tender lamb Salmon - Was okay, the healthier choice. Tender, I would have preferred it less cooked. Salad - Another healthy choice. Lamb Kebab - A more hearty lamb. Actually this is my preference over a tender lamb. Tabsi Salmon - Again, I would have preferred the salmon less cooked. Was not dry, but would have preferred it to be more tender. Sides we all shared - Hummus, lentil soup, rice, falafel, fries, veggies, salad, carrot walnut (this was actually really good), freeken, etc. Dessert - Baklava assorted; my daughter took all of this to go... She did NOT share with the group, lol. Drinks - Mango Yogurt, Pine/App/Lem/Mint Juice, Franziskaner Hefe (can you believe I did NOT drink today :) ) , mint lemonade, fountain drinks, etc. Overall, the food was good. Ambiance - Huge location. Not busy at all. They closed the "private" room right after we got here. Nice decor, this used to be a Mexican restaurant. Plenty of seating. But we did have to move some tables around to accommodate our 9 person group. Full bar. See pictures. Plenty of mall parking - Be safe; see the sign of car break ins. Open 7 days a week - 11am to 9pm or 9:30pm. Clean bathrooms. Well, they are NOT signing the log; see pictures. Service - Counter service. Self service - Drinks, napkins, and sauces. We have to walk back up to counter for more utensils. Bus your own tables, etc. Price - $261 + tip; our generous friends paid!!! Thank you! Averaged $30 per person which was not bad for what we got. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success and with your 6 locations.
