I dropped my car this morning to the location on Southern and Mill Ave in Tempe for a big job. I was having problems with my problem including problems with the rotors and the suspension, the coolant and filter systems needed to be cleaned among other issues I had. We are regular customers and we have always received good service from them. I got my brakes and other work done here a year ago that cost me 1500 , and a year later they were already making a grinding sound. I only drive 16 miles a day how could this happen, come to find out with my mechanic he saw they used super cheap parts and all the other stuff they claim they change they really didn't, so wonder why I got charge so much and a year later the same problems accord. I get I drive a Lexus but that done mean I got money. some people have to work two jobs to have nice things. I'm not rich and I would not recommend bringing any luxury cars here. read more

Made an appointment on Big Brand's website to get my tires checked out, as my low tire pressure light kept getting retriggered after getting them filled. Brian checked out my tire treads and on the lift for further inspection in a few minutes. They identified the culprit (cracked front left tire) and gave me options on tires and deals available. I opted for changing just the one tire, and Brian found me a discount on it anyway. Back on the road in less than 45 minutes. Great, professional service from Brian and his team. *It is RARE to find service this friendly* We got a flat in the late afternoon, just before the shop was scheduled to close. They got us fixed up and out of there before they closed for the night. After we left we realized that the tire that went flat had a warranty. We went back the next day to recover the tire from Big Brand and they happily dug through the pile to find ours, bagged it up, and put it in the back for us to haul away. These guys were so nice and so helpful! I hope we don't have to go back anytime soon, but when we need another tire service we'll definitely be going to them. read more

I went on there website and picked 4 tires that were supposedly in stock. I then set a date 3 days out to bring car in. Thursday came and brought car in and they had my appointment but not the tires I ordered. They tried to sell me another brand but I had my mind set on the tires I ordered so ended up making another appointment. That day came and it only took 4 hours with appointment to get 4 tires put on when I was first person there at 8am. 2 weeks later my tire light came on so I filled tire with air and found pinhole in center. I then made another appointment and was told it was unrepairable after another 2 hour wait. I then chose to drive it quarter mile down road to another tire shop where it was repaired for $16. I should have went with my gut the first time and never returned to this place. read more

Bryan is amazing. Honest answers what your car needs, not upselling. Wife went to Discount tire to get the tires inflated, they recommended replacing all 4 tires and getting an alignment. Too same car next day to Brian expecting to replace 2 tires, an alignment, and oil change for $800, Brian shared tires were in fact fine, no alignment issues, and did oil change in under an hour. Very pleased with the fast and friendly service at the Tempe location on Southern! I'd taken my father's vehicle to another provider for a routine oil change when they informed me that the needed multiple other work at 141k miles. Big Brands quote for the same work was about half of what the first shop quoted and the Honda dealer quoted. Brian is the location manager. He is excellent at scheduling and keeping you informed. This location used to a Purcell. My entire family has gone there for years. I am finally getting around to doing my review because I want to warn people about this place. I am reminded every time I drive by since I live less than a mile away. It's been over a year since this happened but they lost my business forever. When it was Purcell I would buy an Oil Change card. It was a prepaid card for 4 oil changes. We have 6 cars at my house and someone always needs an oil change. I know that they don't make a ton a money on oil changes so we would also get our cars serviced there. One of my daughters that was a full time student took her car in for an oil change and noticed the name change but the same front desk woman and the manager were still there. We had just purchased a oil change card maybe 2-3 weeks before this, before the name change. My daughter said they wouldn't take the card. I said I would go in. I spoke with the woman that had worked there for a long time and she explained to me that the new company wasn't honoring these cards. It seemed shady. I just bought this card from this woman 2-3 weeks prior to this. She said I could contact corporate Purcells or go to another Purcells. The closest Purcells to us was about 30 miles away. After 3-4 attempts at trying to contact corporate Purcell, I gave up. $100 for a lesson learned. I found another place to bring our cars. Better Brands decided honoring an oil change card that I paid about $100 for was not worth keeping me as a customer. In the last year I have spent almost $2,000 in repairs and oil changes at our new place. Beware of Better Brands. Bad business. read more

Absolutely amazing place to work with, the guy on the reception whose name is Brandon is the best and very kind guy. He helped me a lot to find the right and reasonable tires for my vehicle. First they installed smaller tires due to the technical glitch on website but Brandon ordered new right size tires right away since they were out of stock. Most notably they got my vehicle done on the same day even if they didn't have the right tires in stock, he also waived the alignment just for me and that made my day! So If you need honest and cheap service, you must visit this location! They are not after money, they care about your pocket, I have been to many other shops, and they keep adding stupid additional fees for no reason, but this shop doesn't do that!
