It felt a bit awkward for a moment, but customer-service-wise it was the right move. This is a legendary bagel shop and worth a stop if you're nearby. The bacon, egg, and cheese I ordered was a bit dry--being toasted without a smear made it come off a little crusty. Next time I'd definitely get a smear, or maybe not have it toasted at all. The highlight, surprisingly, was the heavy-duty sweatshirt I bought as a souvenir--honestly felt even heavier than Carhartt. Tip: Go for the flat bagel version and don't skip the smear.

I stopped by today to redeem my $10 birthday reward and ordered two iced hazelnut coffees--one with a shot of espresso, perfectly brewed by Brianna. No matter how busy this Hamptons gem gets, I'm always in and out in under 10 minutes. Prices of seafood are comparable to those of other high-end grocery stores on the Island, such as Wegmans and Whole Foods Market, but Citarella has a larger section of wild caught fish; for example, I do not see Wild Caught Ceviche anywhere but here. The store has other things that I want: gourmet cheese, smoked salmon, caviar, Wagyu beef, nice homemade soups, etc. Everything always looks fresh. Staff gives expert advice and stellar service. Today Zaheer, from the butcher chop, took my order and did an excellent job. Lastly, there are small tables outside to dine. You will find everything you need here for a quick lunch.
