A friend swears by this place. We had been exporting bagels from Manhattan but ran out, so we gave it a try. Went a bit before 11 am on a Sunday. The good news was there wasn't any line. The bad news was that the selection was limited. We tried a couple of flagels (still think of them as bagel flats) one sesame and one everything. Bought a couple more bagels for later. The staff were nice. The bagels were OK. Might have tasted better after being warmed up. Didn't try anything else from the shop. The bagels are better than Goldbergs, but not quite up to NYC standards. Add a star if you don't have access to city bagels. read more

Honestly not the worst food. The bagels are anything but special. Kind of remind me of a grocery store bagel. The inside is nothing special which doesn't change the grade. Why I give it a 2 is because the service is truly horrible. So unorganized, you can call in a sandwhich for pickup without waiting in the insane line. And the whole process is just a mess. The line moves quickly when you get in but for sure know what you want to order before it is your turn. Horrific customer service. Came in today with my father and daughter after dance class, place was nearly empty. Was asked by a woman behind the counter as though we were an inconvenience if someone "took our order yet". My dad asked for two cups for the cappuccino machine and the woman disappeared returning with two cappuccino muffins. My dad apologized and said I'm sorry I was looking for two cups for the cappuccino. At this we received an "ugh" and eye roll. I love this place. I've lived in Remsenburg for 21 years and it's nearly been the same employees for as long as I can remember. I unfortunately frequented this bagel shop because of it's proximity to my job. Every single time I went in the staff was cold and unfriendly. They always seemed bothered about the customers presence. I always called in my orders because service was very slow and more times than not I was put on hold for at least 10 minutes. My order was consistently wrong after being specific and asking them to repeat the order back to me. Despite asking for fried eggs, I always got overeasy. The rolls were regularly stale and over toasted since they were, infact, stale. Overall, I was consistently disappointed by not only the food but, the service. I gave them a fair amount of shots and it seemed that they could never quite get it right. Not to mention, the bathroom is horrific. It looks as if it hasn't been cleaned since the place opened. I like this place,they have all freshly baked bagels, croissants and muffins etc. The staff is very good with a cheerful attitude and very pleasant to deal with, I mostly like the fact that the cooking takes place right behind the service counter in perfect view you can watch and be sure that its being prepared exactly how you wanted it,my favorite is usually the ham/egg/cheese on a croissant with butter, they even toast the inside of the croissant for me (you have to ask for that,(apparently its not too common,but I do have my ways lol) and the price is totally reasonable to boot!! two thumbs up as far as a breakfast or lunch joint, there are plenty of tables to sit at while watching either a flat screen tv or you could just people watch threw the large windows that look out onto Main St. Riverhead. read more

Just moved five minutes away from Bagels N Brunch and it's my new go to for breakfast and lunch. They are super busy for good reason. The whole-wheat everything bagel is great as is the tuna salad. They carry Mila's cheese balls, which I get at the farmers market during the summer and I'm thrilled. read more

Seeing as I live about 5 minutes from this place, there is a bit of a "local bias" but with that said, I've been to at least 15 deli's from Eastport to Montauk and this is as good as any of them. Nice clean eating area with enough seating, but it seemed like a pick up and go place. The line seems long at times but it moves along quickly. I've been here twice, Ordered my food to stay both times.. ordered the same thing each time - toasted mini bagel with one egg, over easy. First time it was delivered to me PERFECTLY, they even cut the bagel before placing the egg so I could have the pleasure of squashing the yolk. It came to me on a plate with a knife (but no fork?) Hit the spot - light breakfast. Second time the same thing came to me squashed and wrapped tightly - all the yolk had been absorbed by the paper. yuck. Next time I know to ask for an unbroken yolk. Homemade bagels and creamcheese tghat are absolutely to die for!! I love that they are so friendly and best of all, across the street from me. I adore the strawberry creamcheese. I just tried the blueberry pancakes for the first time, and the blueberries were fresh and delicious. My only complaint is the ordering process is wacked. Especially in the summer when all the tourists are here and it gets all crazy. Who can keep track of orders/payments in that kind of environment? That aside, it's a great spot. read more
