Toasted sun-dried tomato and Italian herbs with cream cheese! WOW

The place was amazing, so warm and cozy. It was so comfortable and loved the music playing The owner is amazing, and does amazing things for the community too. Every person that entered and left was pleasant and friendly. I wish I had a local spot like this where I live. If you are on the island, it is a must try. you can tell the food is made with love. So glad I stopped in on my visit. Ps he even came outside to check if I liked it..

Outstanding spot! And the best bagels on the entire East End without a doubt. Stumbled upon Eccentric Bagel finally today and absolutely loved it and Darren the owner. Great local spot, great menu and vibes, and they actually have gluten free as well! Splurged on real bagels though and they were all delicious. Shoutout !

A little expensive for bagels/bagel sandwiches but for shelter island, nothing out of the norm. Bagels are well worth it. They have some fun favored bagels (I tried the za'atar) and some unique cream cheese flavors. It can get pretty packed but they are pretty organized and get your order prepped quickly. Glad to have this addition to Shelter Island!

The staff are accommodating and friendly. The place has a very community local vibe to it which I love. Also, there's lots of different market baubles to look through, which again, I love. The food is good. Lots of fun bagel flavors and sandwiches. Yummy large looking muffins. My bf got the jalapeño cheddar bagel with the hummus and veggies. I got the egg and bacon bagel with avocado on a poppy seed bagel. Both were delicious but I think my bagel was a little hard.

After having visited and thoroughly enjoyed the Stony Brook location multiple times, this was a…read morehighly disappointing experience. Popped in for a quick weekend lunch since they had visibly open tables and we were seated right away. The person who showed us to our table led the way, and then dropped menus and utensils in a booth and kept walking. As soon as we made our way through the small restaurant, the absolute filth of the place was the only thing I could focus on. There were food scraps and garbage littering almost every surface of the floor. Our own table had dirty napkins, crumbs and half spilled sugar packets underneath, and the bench needed a wipe down before I could sit. Condiments on the table were dirty and if you moved them, the table was covered with crumbs underneath so no one is moving the condiments to clean. The bathroom was equally disgusting and unkempt. Despite all signs pointing to that we should've left immediately, we were hungry and had been driving for awhile. The food/drink was nothing like the other locations we've visited. In my 20 years of ordering Mimosas, I have never before been asked if I wanted a single or a double. It's prosecco, not shots. I went for the single because my expectations were low, and was presented with a weird little lowball glass of pineapple juice and a jigger of prosecco. That is completely ridiculous to cut a serving in half and call it a "single". For $12 you can buy an entire decent bottle of prosecco, and probably at least three bottles of whatever cheap they're serving. It feels like a cheat not to get a full serving. I ordered the Bootlegger for my meal which is fried chicken, melted cheese, bacon and Russian dressing on a roll. It arrived on a tiny hamburger bun with no dressing. Our server came once to ask how everything was the moment the plates were set down, and left when I told her I hadn't tried it yet. It then took about 10 minutes to obtain a side of dressing once I noticed my sandwich was dry. It was edible, but definitely not worth ever having again. My husband ordered corned beef hash and eggs, which was a plate filled with boxed potato sprinkled with pieces of corned beef. Eggs were fine. We did not use any of the condiments since it was clear they hadn't been swapped out or cleaned, and really tried to get out of this dirty environment as fast as possible. Servers were all concentrated in the bar area, some on phones clearly not busy...so it makes one wonder why no one thought to sweep the floor or wipe down a table. The state of the dining room was truly disgusting and honestly surprising. Our server barely attended to us so we opted not to bring this complaint to her directly and judging by the demeanor of the other staff, there wasn't a manger on duty. The bigger problem here is that if the public-facing front of house can look that way, I can only imagine how the kitchen is kept. We will never return to this location and sincerely hope it can be brought up to the same standards as the others.

Crazy beans is a bustling dining in a port town that offers retro charm, small town friendliness,…read moreand great food options. Check-in with the host, and expect to be asked to wait outside. They pack in a lot of diners, so there's not much space, not even for strollers (which they also request you leave outside). We went to crazy beans after it came highly rec'd by our Southold friends. Lattes, fresh juices, lobster quesadillas, and a "morning meltdown" omelette (egg white/turkey/avo/spinach) rounded out our order. The star of the meal was the buttered and toasted SOURDOUGH. I asked our server if it's baked in-house or precured from elsewhere (and where?!), but they didn't know. Nor did they care to find out. I can't find it on their website either. But just make sure you try any of their breads. From the looks of their Yelp photos, all the breads look fresh and worth the carbs.
