I haven't been here for roughly 1 year, while passing through Molalla, I HAD to get me one of those cheeseburgers!! It's exactly as it was in the past...good sized burger, fresh, hot, cheese oozing out the side, loaded with onions, lettuce, maters, and they put a house made tartar sauce on it also. I think that house made tartar sauce is the key component here. Its subtle enough so it doesn't over power the burger, yet it adds enough of a distinct flavor for it to be noticed. **TIP** If you ask for some extra tartar sauce on the side, it makes a great dip for your fries. The fact that this place appears ran down is still there. Needs a remodel, some new paint.....needs a good amount of TLC. But dont let that deture you from a quick lunch. Wait a tick....Quick? I wont go as far as to say that it's quick...because it isn't. There's a wait at this place, which I have never had a problem with, just note that if you're in a hurry, you shouldn't stop here. If there's 1 car waiting, I will get in line. But if there's 2 cars waiting? That's a rough 15 minutes before you get to the window to order. Service was good, they got our food out to us in about 10 minutes. My daughter had a hot dog that was huge, but she said it was "Nummy!! Num Num Num!" Her exact words. Entering and exiting this place can be tricky, so be careful when exiting...I wont go into detail, but you'll see what I mean if you ever go here. I'm still a fan of Big Burger Drive-In!! read more

This place used to be a go to way back when. Loved their Burgers and was excited to bite into one as it's been a long time. Not what it used to be. The service and quality isn't what I remember. We moved to molalla 1 year ago. This place always has great customer service probably due to the small space. We have been here a few times and the burgers are always fresh and juicy. The fried food is done well, and the ice cream is good. They obviously clean their ice cream machine often. read more

This is a traditional, Oregon burger joint. No frills, no fancy seating - just huge, greasy burgers, fries, milkshakes, etc. The service might be a *little* bit surly, if they feel like you are judging them. Tip well and come back and I am sure they will be fine. Sometimes you just want a good burger and a shake - nothing fancy, just grade A american food. Places like this are fast disappearing, and we are going to miss them when they are gone. This is the best burger place in Oregon hands down. Everything is super fresh and the owner and employees are the salt of the earth. They're usually really busy but if you call ahead you can get your food pretty quickly. Onion rings, curly fries and regular fries are always fresh and delicious and the burger relish they use is homemade and amazing. I made my order at the window, they ask me to drive around and park, I sat there 45 minutes waiting on my order, I saw several cars that was behind me getting their orders, I called the restaurant they said they were getting it ready, still took 10 to 15 mins, when it was finally delivered to me my food was cold, won't eat here again! read more

Big burger has great tasting food all around. Biggest complaints and reason it has a two star is the hours and days of business are beyond ridiculous. Early closure and hardly ever open it feels like. Also when you decide to get big burger you need to clear up at least 40 minutes to an hour of time because that's when you will get your food. Best place ever! Has been in business for 50 years and they know what they're doing!! All my friends and family go here. Their burgers, ice cream, shakes, malts....everything is soo good!! There isn't anything on their menu that I don't like. It does take longer but that's the price you pay for a good old fashioned joint that's been around and knows what they're doing. read more

Gotta say, it's great to find a local place still rocking the burgers and crunchy bits for the locals. McDonald's is literally a stone's throw away, which I find interesting. I was driving out in the middle of nowhere (which pretty much sums up Molalla) and all of a sudden I see a bunch of cars lined up at this big burger place. My tummy rumbled and I thought to myself "l've gotta get me some of that!" As I pulled in closer to the menu I saw the word coney dogs. When it was my turn to order I asked the lady if I could get a coney burger with cheese and she said yes!!! She said yes!!!!!! As I waited for my coney burger with cheese, fries and a coke, I looked across the street and saw the Golden Arches. A tear gently rolled down my cheek as I contemplated what I might have eaten if I had made the wrong turn. All of a sudden, a girl standing next to my car gives me a brown bag and a soda and says "here ya go...." I was too choked up to reply but received the bag with gratitude. I quickly drove off and pulled onto some side street and ate my tasty, warm, cheese gooey coney burger in front of someone's house and when it was all done thought to myself "what the hell am I doing in front of this house, these people must think I'm crazy!" They have amazing food and shakes, kind of expensive but worth it because there aren't a lot of great places in Molalla. Service is not always very good though they can be short with you and it doesn't always seem like they're very happy to be there. But the food is awesome fried mushrooms and a fishwich is what I like, and their milkshakes are to die for! read more

When we go shooting out in the woods we always stop at Big Burger on our way back in to town. My mom lived in Molalla many years ago, am I used to eat here a couple times a week.
