Not too many food options in the Kansas City Airport. A lot of over priced bbq or salad. Found this chicken spot owned by Shaq and we had to support. The service is fast! The employees weren't very friendly, just at work. We ordered the Chicken Sandwich, Nashville Hot Sandwich, and fries. The sandwiches are huge! Very large pieces of chicken. The flavor is lacking. You have to add a ton of their special sauce to make it anything. The Nashville Hot Sandwich was not hot at all! No spice! Not sure the only difference between the two sandwiches other than the lettuce. The best part of the meal were the fries. Nice and crunchy and a large portion - enough to share. Kansas City Airport was not too small not too big. Few food options and Big Chicken caught my eyes because of the crowd/long line and its store front. Service was quick and accurate. I needed to eat something since my layover had been delayed by over 2 hours, but I always hate the idea of getting overpriced airport food. If your going to ask a customer if they want to add fries or a drink and you yes fries then they argue with you when you come back while your food is getting cold that you didn't order them. I had about an hour until my flight, so I figured I would find a nice goldilocks of a meal- not too big, not too small. Right next to my gate was a Big Chicken. Upon a quick Google search I learned it's Shaqs chicken establishment. I asked the lady at the register what he favorite thing to get was, and she said the superman sandwich. She is one of the best customer service people I've had an any airport and I'm a frequent traveler as a pharma rep and Doctorate student. Then when I asked for 1 more ranch because I asked her and paid for it (thought she charged me), the African American proceeds to get angry and say we don't charge for extra ranch. What a dumb thing to fight about, for 1 extra ranch when I'm willing to pay for it.
