I really like the atmosphere of this place! Also love the self-serve bottomless coffee and the option of oatmilk with a cup of your choice from the shelf! On our trip to KC a d it was breakfast time. We went to Denver Biscuit Company located at Atomic Cowboy. We had a reset yard were seated promptly. Hot coffee is self serve. Iced you have to order. We each got the Biscuit French Toast. So delicious and dense no need for a meat side as we were full of BBQ meat. Service was solid. Sports bar atmosphere and they had hockey on which suited us perfectly. The menu had so many interesting choices but we kept it simple as we had a big day of eating ahead of us. Their biscuits are terrific. The fried chicken in it is tasty. How am I eating this for breakfast? I'm not a fan of sweet things, so The Franklin is the only thing on the menu that speaks to me, but it tells me of joys beyond my comprehension before I understand the horrors of finishing it. Several years ago my wife and I visited Colorado and ate at a Denver Biscuit Company... It's an interesting business model. In the morning they are a breakfast restaurant, but midday, they transition over to a pizza place, and in the evening it becomes a bar. We had a good experience there, but never really thought much about it until we learned very recently that Denver Biscuit Company/Atomic Cowboy/ Fat Sully's Pizza had opened a location in our town! My first visit to the new location was for lunch with a work Buddy. The room is super "vibe-y." The hostess seated us immediately and explained the menu.We enjoyed pizza and an order of Sully's Fries. It was all great. Not long after that, my youngest daughter happened to be home for her 21st birthday. Her mother and I took her to DBC for a breakfast celebration. My wife had a great salad, I had another slice of pizza, and my daughter had what she said may be the best chicken sandwich she's ever eaten! We also shared a cinnamon roll biscuit of some sort and had breakfast cocktails. I made my annual trip to Denver Biscuit Company this weekend and was not disappointed. They are usually pretty busy but if you go online you can get in line and that shaves off some time. We were quoted 30 minutes but were seated in 10. The staff is also always super friendly. This time I went with the DBC Club: BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN, BACON, CHEDDAR CHEESE, SHREDDED ICEBERG, TOMATO + HOUSE-MADE CHIPOTLE RANCH. It was humongous and messy and delicious. You definitely have to use a fork and knife. The bacon was top notch and the ranch had a nice kick to it. My dining companion got the Lola: Buttermilk FRIED CHICKEN, BACON, HOUSE-MADE HONEY BUTTER, COVERED IN MAPLE SYRUP. It looked delicious so that may be next year's sandwich. We have been meaning to try the DBC menu ever since we stumbled upon fat Sully's and we finally made it happen this weekend with out of town guests. We were seated very quickly on a Saturday afternoon, greeted immediately and attended to very well by our server. We were starving so we ordered Sully's fries as a starter and I didn't know how I would feel about the gravy but so glad we kept it on. The fries were so amazing and I highly recommend. I loved the mom's iced latte. It had just the right amount of kick! The biscuit sandwiches were all great. I noticed my chicken was a little tough in some places and not as tender as expected but overall the biscuit, toppings and gravy made up for that fact. These two are perfect to share with the table because one biscuit is smothered in gravy while the other is topped with sweetly maple syrup. Decided come here for brunch/lunch. We added our name to the list before we left the house since it's about a 30 minute drive. When we arrived, they checked us in and we waited another 5 minutes to get our table. We were seated before people that were waiting so it pays to put your name on the list. They were tasty. For our meals, I had The Franklin and hubs had the Three Run Double. I also added Waffle fries to my Biscuit sandwich. Everything was so good. I wish my bacon would have been fried harder but that was my fault for not telling them I wanted crispy bacon. Even with the chewy bacon, it was delicious. I couldn't finish it so to go it did. I also couldn't finish the Waffle fries..There is some seasoning on them that is very tasty. Hubs enjoyed his meal as well. He even tried two beers he's never had before (no clue what there except one was a pumpkin something). He enjoyed those too. Food was excellent, big and filling portions. They have a serve yourself coffee station as well. Waited about 20 min for a table during Sunday brunch hour which I didn't think was terrible. Service was fantastic, our server was personable, quick, and checked in the right amount all while training. The building was cool and there was a good amount of buzz from customers. Well I want to really like these breakfast sandwiches, but they are just a little under whelming. We got The Winona with the pimento cheese and asked for it Nashville hot, we didn't get it hot and it came with a very very small amount of pimento cheese. It wasn't enough to even waste the time scooping it on. The chicken was good and the biscuit was good, but you but it all together with no sauce and it is all just dry. Then we go The Tomahawk. The Beeler is a perfect biscuit sandwich. The biscuit is the second best in town, just behind District Biskuits. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Nashville hot chicken was spicy and delightfully crunchy, yet juicy and tender. House-made pickles and ranch were both flavorful and perfect accompaniments. Truly, a 5 star sandwich for me. The sandwich is substantial enough to make sides superfluous, but we did order a basket of garlic parm waffle fries for the table. Now, I love a good waffle fry any day of the week, but adding garlic parmesan took them to the moon. So good. My companions also raved about their sandwiches, The Sherman and the DBC Club. The service was friendly and efficient. Couldn't ask for more. The atmosphere is comfortably industrial like most newer restaurants these days. One of my favorite breakfast places to order from in Westport! I think we've tried almost everything on the menu at this point and have yet to be disappointed. PARKING: located right next to the little lot off of Pennsylvania, but since this is in Westport parking is always a bit of a challenge. ORDERING TAKE OUT: It's super easy to order food online, and the biscuits sandwiches travel well! Every time I order take out (which is a lot), the pick up location at the restaurant has been at a different location. So grab your sense of adventure and be prepared to wander around a little bit. Sometimes the food is at the bar inside the Denver Biscuit Co restaurant, sometimes it's at the takeout window located on the patio, sometimes it's inside the Frozen Gold when Frozen Gold ice cream isn't operating. Just be prepared to wander to a couple locations to get your food bag. The food has always been ready on time, and we've never received the wrong order. FOOD: Like I said, I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered here, and we've almost had the whole menu! My wonderful child and I were in town for the National High School Esports Championship. My God sent gamer and I were walking distance to Denver Biscuit Company. The walk itself was rewarding as the area Denver Biscuit Company is surrounded was inviting during the spring day we marched to breakfast. I found DBC on Yelp by searching waffles. DBC doesn't have waffles, they have waffle fries, but no waffles, which my teenage ninja dope kid digs. DBC does have some of the friendliest human beings in this solar system, present, warm, welcoming, genuine... My webslinging PS5 pre-ordering at GAMESTOP Miles Morales son and I are from California... ...this level of care startled us. Thanks to the consistency found in DBC's service and product, we got comfortable quick, and before long, excited. My Ninja Batman boy ordered the Cordon Blue sandwich and I opted for the biscuit French toast. The food came to our table quickly, hot... ...beautiful. It had slipped my mind that the world's dopest dude had to be at the hotel to shoot some footage before the tournament, so we had to get togo boxes. The staff were their normal fawesome selves, so we got the meals ready to go in a flash. The bill was very agreeable. I ate the moment my champion got settled in, the G.O.A.T. freshman to ever grace Kansas City ate sometime after their first few rounds. We both agreed, even cold... and I didn't have any syrup, that still, DBC was better than 99% of breakfasts available in Los Angeles. The food was so flavorful, balanced, and thoughtful. The theme of the restaurant is executed tastefully, elevating the standing of the biscuit, for someone that fell in love with biscuits and gravy in basic training at Fort Knox. I learned of our supreme privilege, that our cooks were women who traditionally cooked in this building... every meal was made from scratch. "Never again will you have food this good in the army again" my Drill Sgt. said, and, he was right. All these years later, I have found such greatness.
