My wife and I decided it was time to buy an RV. I left work early and got to Big Country RV about a half hour before they closed. I am sure the team wanted to go home after a long day. Donnie spent all the time needed to help us pick the right trailer to fit our needs. We never felt rushed. He patiently answered all of our questions and showed us so many they all blended together. He took us back to make a top three list and we went back and forth until we settled on the perfect one for us. We settled on a very fair price and we are very happy. Everyone we have dealt with so far has been great! Right from the start we felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer. I was shocked to read some of these reviews and I can tell you it is the absolute 100 percent opposite of our experience with Big Country. Look folks you're buying an Rv, camper or trailer. These aren't pianos or fine woodwork finish carpentry pieces. All of them are made as light as possible with minimalist materials. They aren't meant to be your house. Little things are going to break or need to be adjusted and maintained regularly. Its part of the deal. Worst service experience of my life at the Bend location!! Do NOT take your RV here for service. Terrible communication, terrrible follow through, terrible clueless technicians and a terrible service manager (bully). Most of the work done was incomplete or wrong and when confronted with a question they did not call to clarify EVER. My three month out Warranty appt on my Lance trailer only got me in the queue when I dropped it off and then it waited another month until it was almost too late before they looked at it. Nobody explained this to me when I dropped it off. When all was said and done they charged my $600 for WARRANTY work and $150 of that was due to tech incompetence (who didn't know what a shunt was, lost a part I gave them and didn't know how to test a 110v outlet with a multimeter) and the rest they said they would re-imburse me when Lance paid them. Terrible business practice!! After contacting Lance for help, working for weeks on communication and documentation and speaking with the Lance regional Manager and Kenny the GM/Owner at Big Country (who was very nice and concerned) I finally got my money back. However, the service manager (who has been there for 12 years) NEVER once appologized, owned up to the issues or did anything other than bully me at every step. First And Foremost.....Customer Service!! What's that in today's society. There is None. It's All About the American Dollar. They are Nice as Pie when you First Walk through the door of Course. We are mostly talking of the Customer Service once you sign those papers. Then they are on to the next sale. We Get the aspect of a business and the process. It's the Respect and Kindness that's left this world regardless business related. We were RUSHED through an Important process of purchasing a high dollar RV. There shouldn't be a time frame on an inspection, especially due to the business office having a next appointment!!!!!!! Our experience started out great with Scott in Sales. But when we need work done in the service department that's when we found out what this dealership was really like. Our trailers sway bars were not level and we had to make adjustments ourselves because they tried to level they trailer on an incline. Then when we took the trailer back in for the refrigerator and a fan not working, we were charged over 300.00 to diagnose a refrigerator that worked as soon as it was turned on. Then they left cords unplugged and the hood vent on top of the trailer not screwed down. It was hanging off when we arrived home. We called to talk to the service manger, went in to talk to the service manager and sent emails to the owner and were ignored at every turn. We asked for a partial credit due to the condition our trailer was in when it was returned to us and we were ignored. Scott also tried to advocate for us and he was ignored as well. We were planning on upgrading to a 5th wheel this year, but we will never set foot in this dealership again. We will buy out if the area. read more

They use deceiving business practices. Many of the units on their website are not even under contract by them. This unit has been out of contract since 10-12-22 and they have been asked multiple times to stop advertising this unit by the owner yet they do not remove it from their website or other websites they put it on. I called and asked about it and they say it is nolonger available and try to step me into another unit. I called on 7 of their advertised units after this and only 1 was available. I suspect they are doing the same thing on these as well. It is unfair for the buyer as these units are not for sale and it is unfair for the seller who want to list it elsewhere when the contract is over because they couldn't sell it for them and they are unable to list it due to the ads still running from this deceptive RV seller. read more

Dropped the RV off in Sept, no action for months Suddenly it's apparently sold in Jan but there's an issue.. Without going into details, they mysteriously found a $2000 repair during a pre delivery inspection after the unit was on their lot for almost 5 months! How does that happen? Questioned the service department and got a confrontational attitude. I won't be back I assure you. What are the chances an RV in perfect working order when consigned somehow needs major repairs on the day of being sold? Could it be, that they were not satisfied with the final sales price and felt the consignee might need an adjustment to the agreed price? I honestly believe there needs to be an investigation into the shady business dealing here. Any place with this many negatives reviews needs a closer look. Service dept is seriously a problem. Do not do business with this dealer! If you do, stay clear of their extended warrantees as they are super expensive and cover nothing. The sales manager I worked with was a lying crook and nobody has been willing to help fix the problem since. We even tried to cancel the extended warrantee through the warrantee company itself and they referred us back to the dealership, but after saying it could be done. We called the dealership and was told that they could not cancel the extended warrantee. This was within 2 months of buying the trailer! I booked an appointment with Big Country Rv here in Bend back in the beginning of July to secure an appointment in early September to receive service on my fifth wheel. I received a call today, 3 days before my appointment saying they need to reschedule. In my head, I feel slightly frustrated because of all the planning that it took to secure that date to drive our rig in. But I ask what their estimated timeframe is, as I've already committed 2 months prior and expect maybe a week of delay or so. I was told sorry, we can't see you until March 2023. Wait, WHAT?! How do you as a business commit to a customer 2 months prior, and call them 3 days before the appointment to say "sorry, it's another 6 months." What a joke! Worst camper I have ever owned. It spends more time in the shop than on the road camping. I fix one thing and two others break. Here's a sampling of the issues I have had with this 3965DSS: * Power cord power reel broke three times finally just had it removed. * Den slide motors broken - repair guy said it was due to poor workmanship. * Satellite cabling never worked had to have a separate connection installed. * TV antenna reception not good in the den TV had to have it reworked. * When you use the Black tank flush it leaks water into storage area. * Final straw - Master bedroom will not come in and is cocked (lost money on camp site we were going to), so now I have to pay more money to have this fixed just so that I can get rid of this piece of poopoo. This company seemed eager to please when selling me a new trailer and all the extras off their lot. However, it's apparent that when you stop putting money in their hands you become a low priority.  After reading the horrible reviews they received about their service and repairs, I decided I'd like to cancel the optional repair warranty that I purchased 5 months ago. It has taken one phone call to Big Country, and 8 emails back and forth with Scott from the financing department over 12 days to give me the information I needed. One of my emails had questions about a quoted refund. After 4 days of getting no response I sent a follow-up email. 10 minutes later I get an email response telling me the information was in instructions he sent previously. They were not, and if he had just included the information there instead of telling me to go look for it, he could have saved me 5 more days of waiting. End result? After 12 days I find out that a woman named Suzanne handles cancellations, not him.  If you're looking to buy or service a trailer, I'd recommend finding a smaller company who prioritizes customer care more than Big Country does. read more

Purchasing our trailer at Big Country was easy and painless. However, I would never recommend entering a maintenance agreement or even having a camper repaired at Big Country. They don't return phone calls and they do shoddy repair work. When we first bought our new trailer there were some glitches, including a leak. While fixing the leak, they broke a panel under the sink and didn't replace it or inform us about it. When we needed to replace a very broken ladder on the trailer, we called Big Country to order one. Over a month later we still had not received a phone call to let us know the ladder had come in. When we called to check the status, our initial calls were not returned. W was finally able to talk with someone who told him the ladder had arrived. After the ladder arrived, W attempted to contact the service department to install the ladder, but they never returned his call. He finally decided to go to Big Country to pick the ladder up and replace it himself. When he got to Big Country, he discovered they had ordered the wrong ladder. Now we're planning to take a trip to Pendleton to buy a ladder directly from our trailer manufacturer since we no longer wish to do business with Big Country. read more

Worst experience. How would you like an RV dealer try to sell you a used 2019 for $1000 dollars over new 2022 price. Well guess what folks that is exactly what happen to me. And then the dealer said that was a sale price for the 2019 trailer. I was looking at a 2019 Keystone trailer. Cost is $26,995.00. After thinking about it for a week, I get a call from the dealership. The guy introduces himself and tell me they have a sale going on right now and it's the first sale they had since Covid-19 began. I think, oh great. A sale means the price will be reduced? After asking the guy if the sale prices are on the site currently he says he will have to check and see, but he does not think they are. Even better, then the unit I was looking at for $26,995.00 will be reduced because of the sale going on. I gave the dealer the stock number for the unit along with a couple more and he checks and calls me back stating, those are the sale prices of those units I gave him. A day or two passes and I saw online at RV trader and other websites that the new price for the same unit I was looking at is $25,995.00 BUT THAT IS FOR A NEW 2022 model. Same floor plan weight and everything. The only difference is the year. 2019 vs 2022 and $1000,00 more for the used unit. So, don't go to this RV dealer unless you want to overpay and get ripped off. My father-in-law purchased a used 5th wheel unit from these people in late October of 2022 and we feel he was seriously ripped off/cheated, from the financing and trade-in to the condition of the RV. (He is 79 years old and very independent, we really wish we could have gone with him when he went looking at RV's and we would have NEVER let him buy this piece of junk! Not only is it a piece of crap, but he owes as much on it as was the original asking price after trading in a car and his old 5th wheel? Crooks much?) Since it arrived at our property it has had numerous issues, the biggest one being that someone had previously worked on the wastewater systems and not done a proper job. Since it wasn't repaired properly it has had leaks of raw sewage, and an unbearable odor inside the unit. There was also an accident/damage to the unit on record that was NOT reported to him! They even delivered the unit with a half-full tank of sewage! From systems that were jimmy-rigged together to make work, mismatched tires, steps in to the unit that do not fold up properly, a window in the unit that would not close, a pet door that leaked every time it rained, a nonfunctioning TV attached to the RV and system monitors that do not work you can see where I'm coming from with my anger and frustration. I think my father-in-law walked in there and his girlfriend was starry-eyed about the unit... Big Country RV just saw a sucker and gutted him, nice way to treat a vulnerable population! read more

However I can tell when I'm being sold on something. i'm all about supporting local businesses in the area and thought of purchasing a Camper would be such a pleasant experience. Their solutions to putting the truck camper on to my pick up truck were sub par and very unprofessional and I was left was trying to reconcile things on my own. I ended up having to buy brand new tiedowns because they installed it covering up my gas tank I had to twist it off and on every time. I've had several places tell me that they could have placed the tiedowns in another location and avoided having to block the gas tank to my truck. I love community and connection and felt I was annoying them when I needed assistance. I've heard countless other people share the same experience. read more

We purchased a really nice 2016 Blackstone Travel trailer from the Redmond center and took delivery in October. The sales person, Dane, was great to work with. The finance folks were great. The delivery was good. It's the after sale follow up and service department customer service that is unacceptable. Their service department needs some help. The service managers, Tom Saunders and Andy Richter treat you with disrespect, they are extremely rude, unprofessional and incompetent. They set a very bad example for their staff. I guess it's really difficult to find competent people who know how to deliver excellent customer service in the RV repair business. I literally had to raise hell to get their Customer Care Manager, Mark Haywood and the GM, Rick Breeden to get involved when I was so upset with the way I was treated. But after my interactions with Tom Saunders and Andy Richter the damage was done. They are clueless to the fact that without customers, they don't have a job. I will leave this review by saying I have purchased 2 travels trailers from Big Country RV personally and referred 3 other customers (family members) that resulted in 3 - 5th Wheel sales. Bottom line, their service department's lack of respect and appreciation for their customers after the sale has cost them a damn good customer. We had a terrific experience last week at Big Country RV, and bought our first RV from them, a Forest River Rockwood A122BH. It's a hard sided pop up trailer, which is so well equipped and designed it's amazing. Perfect match for our needs, and we took it this past weekend to a family reunion in California, and it couldn't have gone better! The negative reviews we've read on Yelp are entirely contrary to our our experience; (maybe they've changed management or?) We found everyone on the staff at Big Country in Bend to be extremely helpful, friendly, honest with us, and highly professional. Rob and Aaron were our initial contacts, and were very thorough and took plenty of time in demonstrating the trailer setup to us, with no high pressure tactics. We told Rob we would think it over for a few days, which he actually supported, and this added to our trust in him. When we did call back after viewing other trailers, he helped us in such a friendly and open manner, covering all of our concerns and questions. Aaron also was very helpful and a real pro. Then we met with Andy in finance, who proved to be straightforward and also very resourceful and helpful. Having dealt with car finance salesmen over the years, I was cautious and checked out everything that was told to us, and we found Andy to be, again, genuinely helpful, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. Andy and Ted in the service dep't. and Justin and Pam in the Parts dep't. were also very helpful, friendly, honest with us, and generous in the discounts we received on extras. All in all, a very pleasant and satisfying experience with Big Country RV, and they even followed up with a gift which arrived a few days later! We bought a Prism and are happy with the purchase but are very disappointed with the misinformation provided on what needs to be done in CA. They miscalculated the taxes, said it wouldn't need a smog when it is required and it also needs to be vin verified, a physical inspection at DMV. Telling us this misinformation makes me think they would say anything to make a sale. Unethical! If you are from out of state don't buy an RV there. I regret purchasing from this business. We traded in a travel trailer and purchased a new to us used travel trailer. Overall, our experience was very good. We received a fair price on our trade in and a reasonable price for our new one. Everyone was friendly. It felt like it was important that we have a positive experience. Austin Stone was our salesperson. He was very helpful and patient as we chose our new trailer. JB did a great job helping us learn about our new trailer. Brett in finance was efficient and knowledgeable. We took our new trailer to the Redmond location (it was more convenient) for a service question. Mark, the Redmond service manager was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Parts department prices were on the high side. My only disappointment was trying to special order parts out of the Redmond store. The sales lady was very nice but dependent on someone in his office to place the order. It was difficult to get what I needed third hand. He wouldn't come out of the office, even though I asked for him so I could be sure to get the correct parts. I left with a promise that they would find it and quote me a price and availability. After waiting for a couple of days, I found it and ordered what I needed on line. I would reccomend Big Country if you are shopping for a new travel trailer. read more
