This review has nothing to do with the people at Coach Masters or their competence. They are all wonderful and excellent at what they do. It is simply because of their labor rate and their line "$189/hour is standard for the industry", for Bend, OR, is simply inaccurate. I called 12 local RV Repair businesses and only one had a similar rate. The rest averaged $147/hour (28% less, a substantial difference in a small town such as ours) and that number is inflated because of the one similar to Coach Masters. The majority charge $125-$150 and have excellent reviews. Further, I have been a paying customer of Coach Masters for 6 years - does that loyalty deserve to be rewarded? Maybe, maybe not, but they refused to even address the question which is unfortunate. Again, great business with great people. If you don't mind being overcharged, you won't regret the work they do. But you might save a few hundred bucks going elsewhere and receive the same level of service. read more

I hesitate to even give them one star. Very friendly but charge for every little thing with out much help. Supposed to accept our warranty, $1000 later I had to ask them to submit it. They say they fixed our gauges for our tanks, never worked. Brought it back and said they have never worked, they tested them and said they work, still don't work. Five months later we got a bill for the work of them checking to see if it worked. Don't trust them and hope to never go there again! I think they take advantage of people that have RV S. These guys were awful. When they screwed up big time they didn't stand behind their work or attempt to fix what they damaged. With electrical work they are totally incompetent. The mechanic tore through our rig trying to find the problem leaving our wiring in total shambles and cutting four wires in the process. When we got our rig back the engine light was on and they said that they couldn't fix it. The mechanic that did fix it said it looked like someone took a box knife and shredded the wires all through the chassis. Cost $2000 for towing and repairs. These guys shouldn't be in business. read more

Not sure whats happened to them bit they're definitely not the same. They charge $180 an hour and do half a**ed work. We've spent a large amount of money there and have had trouble with everything the touch. They definitely have gone downhill. My advice is to avoid them! read more

We can't say greater things about this place!! Trent & team were beyond wonderful. Coach masters is truly an HONEST company with excellent employees. We had a problem with our jack busting and siding falling off of our camper and a few other small things, and Trent over the phone talked us through some options and made a quick appointment with us. Upon arrival, they showed us everything they were going to do and gave us different options, fully explaining everything. Once we left, we discovered another issue arising right away, and they quickly fixed the problem immediately. They let us stay in the camper on the lot with electric hookups and offered water if needed. Came in looking super janky and left with a custom looking, but more importantly SAFE camper. Coach Masters is the place to bring your rig. This shop exceeded my expectations. Super friendly and diligent in their work. I developed a serious coolant leak in my journeys. Called Coach Masters, Blake said bring it by. They were able to fit me in, address the leak and then pointed out another issue (I was using the wrong fluid). Nice people but BEWARE! I gave Coach Masters 1 star but I would give them ZERO stars if I could. I left my motor home with Coach Masters of Bend at 9:00 a.m. on August 5, 2015. The rear of the main slideout would not fully extend and therefore the floor of the slideout was not level. Other than that, the slideout worked PERFECTLY. I was told that it could be fixed in 1 or 2 hours. At the end of the day I called Coach Masters to see if it was done only to find out that it was not! Coach Masters was not sure what the problem was. Coach Masters did not report to me once in the 7 or 8 business days that they had possession of my coach! Every day until August 13th I had to contact them for updates. Every day they had a different story. On August 13th they had taken my coach to the dealer to have the controller calibrated. When Blake gave it back to me that day he told me that the slideout may not extend fully every time. He told me that it may need a new controller unit, and they were checking on the price. He did not tell me that now, the slideout would not retract! I had to leave for a trip the following morning. The slideout had been extended while I prepared for the trip. When I was ready to leave, the slideout would not retract! I called Coach Masters and was told that they did not have a mobile service and that I should call Tom's Mobile RV Repair. Tom was at least 2 hours out so I learned how to retract the slide manually. With help, I was able to push it in until the motors were able to take over! This is what I had to do every time I used the coach for the next 8 months! Coach Masters was well aware that they returned the coach to me in WORSE condition than it was in when they received it but they billed me $945. I contested that charge and then they reduced the bill to $315, which I paid in order to avoid legal problems. I told the co-owner, Scott Maier, that I was taking the coach to the Fleetwood Factory Service Center in Coburg, OR. He told me that "re-calibration would not fix the problem". "The wiring is undersized" he said, but he never suggested that I bring it back to them. After the winter roads thawed, I took my coach to Fleetwood. They diagnosed and fixed the problem in 2 hours. Part of that time was spent correcting the mess that was created by Coach Masters of Bend. I requested a full refund from Coach Masters of Bend's co-owner Paul Fuller. He admitted that "faulty calibration equipment" was used on my coach. He also compared their service to that of doctors who "work on you but can't always fix you". I don't think that he considered the fact that doctors can be held accountable for "Malpractice". I will NEVER use them again and I WILL NOT recommend them to anyone!!. read more

We had some serious issues regarding the high pressure lines for our slide out and leveling jacks. Coach Masters took care of the problem and were always willing to take the time to explain the differing aspects of the repair to us, in detail. John and Blake, their customer service reps, were fantastic. The mechanics who worked on our rig were excellent as well. The repair took quite a while, through no fault of CM, and they gave us regular updates and info along the way. Subsequently, I have had some minor issues unrelated to the original problem and they are always willing to answer any questions I may have and try and help me fix it on my own. We have an Onan generator that needed repair. We are full timers and need to get repaired without giving up our home. Timely service is important to us too. They are busy and booked up as the summer season is upon them, but they made an effort to get us in. - They allowed my husband to watch what they did to our vehicle. This was extremely important to us as our motorhome is a build to order, custom vehicle. We get a little twitchy when someone has to work on it. This crew was VERY good! - The staff was very friendly. - The estimate they gave us was accurate. - They quickly diagnosed, got parts and repaired our generator. We rolled into town with a rental Rv that had a malfunctioning burner. Coachmasters helped us out of a jam. No other RV repair shop would look at our unit, but the Coachmasters team took a look, diagnosed the problem and fabricated thaw parts necessary to get us safely back on the road. Most of the mechanics have many years of experience and they all share the knowlege with each other and with us. We were all checked out and ready to hit the road when I asked about installing solar. No problem, we can get started this afternoon and finish up tomorrow...Great addition for us. Had done a lot of research on solar so could "speak the language" and the solar they installed was top of the line...They gave us a price and even thought they spent a couple extra hours on the install didn't charge us... My RV broke down due to two belts breaking. I'm disabled so I was unable to do the work my self. Ended up calling a tow truck and was towed back to Coach Masters Of Bend. Apparently one of the mechanics was allergic to cats so they were unable to change the belts the easy way, instead i was charged an outrageous amount of 320.00 for the labor. Not to mention the fact they charged $40.00 a piece for each belt. Another $20.00 for a half inch piece of hose. it took two days for us to be up and running. Its really difficult to make ends meet when a company takes advantage of people who live on a fixed income. We weren't able to go visit our children in Idaho because all our gas money had to be used to replace belts that cost $7.00 a piece in the auto parts store, but cost $40.00 a piece at Coach Masters Of Bend. I was not treated with respect or decent customer service. All they cared about was how much money they forced me to pay since I had no other options but to have my RV fixed. I just wanted to thank Coach Masters Of Bend for screwing me over so badly. I say Beware of using their service. They are very high priced and their mechanics aren't very fast. read more

We have tried to have our Coach worked on there 3 times. Twice the estimate was so high I thought they were dipping all the parts in gold. We got the work done for less than half else where. The 3rd time they were rude, slow, and just refused to get the job down. We brought our motorhome in for winterization, an LOF, a broken kitchen sink faucet, a non-functioning electric hot water heater, a bad backup camera monitor , and some minor repairs. Blake was always polite and seemingly helpful. They had our RV for six weeks due partially to heavy snowfall. The minor repairs were mostly accomplished. When we finally got ready to leave, we were told that they were still waiting to hear from Moen about a part that might have been discontinued, and were not sure about the hot water heater since the RV had been winterized. We were also told when we asked that our roof looked fine. The water heater wasn't fixed and we had it repaired on our trip. The roof needed resealing, and that had to be done, also. My wife and a friend took the faucet apart, found a small plastic piece that had broken, and fixed it within two hours with a kit from a plumbing store. The camera monitor was replaced, but "fried" again, and no one knows why after yet another replacement. Politeness and the completed services get one star, but the water heater, the broken faucet that just needed a small, plastic part, and the comment that our roof was okay have convinced us never to use their services again and we will be happy to tell our RV friends about our experience. read more
