I met Big daddy when he first came to San Jacinto. I've always loved their food but the last couple times I was there I was sure disappointed. As I don't live up in the area anymore, whenever I'm up in the area I always stop to get food to go. When I didn't get what I ordered I called and they said they'd give me a credit but only good 7 days. Like really I am gonna spend time in gas and time within 7 days to get a credit. Fast forward to this week. I was up there and 2 of my items weren't there and the order was wrong. Now my bad , I should have checked my order before I left but didn't and when I got 1/2 way home I called and the gal said she'd give me a credit. Really 7 days , then I got home and my pulled pork wasn't in the bag and called. The gal I spoke with said she'd give me a credit but the other gal I spoke with the same day didn't mention anything to her about the mistake (1st one) then I said this is BS and she said well you aren't going to get a credit period at all and hung up on me. Really. Because I said this is bull.... This is what I get. Where is customer service at. Im in the customer service industry and that is what we do. Legitimate BBQ in San Jacinto in this funky drive through. Pulled pork, beef ribs, hot links, all delicious, but my favorite is the brisket. Good amount of smoke and seasonings, and a very good barbecue sauce that is not overpowering. Something else you won't find anywhere else, barbecued spaghetti...Yes, thats right, barbecued spaghetti. First impression, customer service is great, no questioning that; however, I ordered a Brisket sandwich with Mac & Cheese and "Fresh" cut fries. I was less than impressed the way they plate things. Brisket Sandwich was full of pieces of fat, got very little beef to taste and say it was good, the fries were frozen and very brown in color like they hadn't changed the frying oil in forever, and the Mac n cheese was way over cooked and didn't taste like anything extraordinary. I paid around 18$ for a meal I would've only paid for 8$ at the most. Wanted to give this a try since I support small local businesses, but Dickey's BBQ is definitely better than what I had here. #Disappointed. read more

Man food is good, strawberry lemonade is fire but customer service is....I don't frequent this area much and came to bring my wife here. We ordered two meals and two sides with some cornbread after we paid for our items they're gonna tell us the corn bread was unavailable, then they said pick a side and they will substitute. My wife picked the baked beans, we get our order and leave once we got home which was like 25 mins away we noticed that our order wasn't complete and the back beans they substituted for 2 corn breads wasn't even 3 spoonfuls of baked beans. I called and the person who answered remembered me got my name and told me to go back. I informed him that I was 25mins away and if I could go back another time. Been coming here for a while...LOVE the place. Since I have been quarantined, I try to support local businesses once a week for dinner and I always come here. Yes their prices have gone up on the meat, but they are paying higher prices themselves. In case you haven't been in a grocery store, meat is high EVERYWHERE. Omg this place is awesome! As many times as we passed this place coming to visit my dad ....saying one day we would try this place and never did. Skeptical about trying it because it didn't look busy. This place is the bomb. Brought my dad a turkey leg and he said that it's awesome and way better than the turkey legs you buy at the fairs. This place used to be my favorite place to eat, where'd the owner go!?!??? When the owner was there He always made the food with love!! Since his kids took over it's just sloppy- very disappointed the last quite a few times.. I just can't stop ordering though in hopes I will get what it used to be like. So today, we ordered two hobo potatoes and a large watermelon lemonade. We waited 30 minutes and we got home realized the drink was missing, but paid for, and when we opened the potatoes one was put together correctly, the other was dry pulled pork no bbq sauce, and it was missing the baked beans. We paid almost $30 and it's very disappointing.. make sure you check and double check before driving away. We want the same quality as the owner used to give!! We used to rave about this place and we couldn't stop saying enough good things and spreading the word, that's been 7 years ago since we first started eating here. Very disappointed with this visit today, 1st the guy at the drive-thru was not customer friendly and had an attitude, unlike the food me and my family ordered last Saturday which was so awesome. First time here and I bought the Family Special which comes with 4 kinds of tender meat and 3 sides. . The sides we chose were the scrumptious collard greens, baked beans, and coleslaw. There was plenty of food for 4 people and every single thing was perfectly made and delicious. The links were too spicy for one of my guests, but just exactly the way I like them. I ordered The Big Daddy Deluxe today. When I placed the order I was told that it would be ready to pick up at 12:00 p.m. which was great. I arrived to pick up the order and it was not ready. I asked for a little extra barbeque sauce since I did not know if the people I was taking the food to would want some. The extra charge of .50 cents per cup was no problem. I guess that spending $149.00 on The Big Daddy Deluxe should probably include a little extra barbeque sauce but I understand. I was given 4 plastic bags with all kind of food containers in them. The problem was that they should have packaged the food in a better way. By the time I put the bags of food in my car the sides opened up and all ended up in the bottom of the plastic bag. So I delivered a plastic bag full of mac and cheese, beans, potatoe salad and greens to the recipients of the lunch. The same thing happened with the extra barbeque sauce I bought. If a restaurant is going to sell meals consisting of larger quantities of food, they should invest in some type of container that assures the food will not pour out into the bag. They could have wrapped the containers hold the sides in aluminum foil which would have kept the tops on the containers. How about putting the order in a box, instead of a bag. Anyway I don't think I'll be ordering again. read more

Customer service is always good so 2 stars, but the food is expensive and the quality doesn't match what they charge. I'll gladly pay 10+ if I got a different a little more quantity and quality. So I got a lunch special with cornbread as a side. A little over 10$ for 2 lil rinky dinky ribs 1 1/2 booty of the bread, ribs were hard seemed they'd been old and just threw some sauce on it, the other rib was fatty, you also get one yellow pepper and one round slice of a pickle (still confused on that). When I opened the container both co workers were like "WTH is that for 10$!" Was trying to support small businesses especially since black owned during covid 19 but I'm sorry they're too much of a hit and miss. I've gone before after long periods of time hoping for a different experience and I've only gotten the ribs and sometimes it's cool and sometimes it's yuck! I wanted to like them. I truly did! But I just can't. The prices are too high for what little food you get. You even get a slice of dry bread which doesn't make sense. The fish was seasoned nicely but you only get 2 little fillets that are barely cooked pass health standards. Disgusting!!! Checken was still raw. Pulled pork as well. And no, pink and slimy looking is not smoked. I know the difference. The greens were over salted. Just about everything I had was a big disappointment to BBQ eaters everywhere. Now the fried fish was good. But a little note when you put fried things in the togo boxes. Vent holes in the box. They are required so things dont get soggy. And for the price the portions are awful. This place was a one and done for me as for just about everyone else I know whom has eaten there. I heard they use to be good when in Hemet or what not. Cutting corners to cover your overheard is no bueno. Do things right at a consistant rate and people will come back and let others know. We've been here a few times, it's hit or miss. Sometimes the meat is dry and tough. Tonight my family sat in the drive thru 15 minutes for a $30 rack of ribs that we got home and realized were tough, and dried out. My husband drove back and asked for a refund since the meat is nowhere near worth $30 bucks. The employee told him she needed to call the owner in order to issue a refund. He waited another 15 minutes before she came back and said she will give a refund this time, but their meat is sold as-is, and that's just the way their product is, so next time there will be no refund. My husband told her we won't be coming back again and she just smirked. I don't know if the owner approves of this type of business practice but unfortunately we can't risk dried out meat and tough ribs so we will not be back. read more

I was on my way home from visiting one of my hospital accounts and saw this small little bbq place in the corner and made a quick left turn into the parking lot. I tell you what, best find ever! Here I am thinking of getting fast food from jack n box near by and I'm so blessed to find this place. I had the brisket bbq sand which with potato salad and beans and it was the most satisfying meal ever. Brisket was so soft, bun was a gourmet bun and the. Bbq sauce was on point. So in I drove and I saw a few cars ahead of me which I cool with. Picked up some ribs and let me tell you what, it's the best rib I have ever had the pleasure of biting into. I wanted to be fair in my review so I rated it at 2stars. Why? This place is very hit and miss for me. I've been here multiple times and when it's good it is fire! I mean it is so very good. The sausage links are fresh, the potato salad is good, fries are fresh etc. Other times that I have gone it is bad! So horribly bad. For example, sometimes the potato salad has had really hard rocks in it. I've ordered their mild sausage links and they've given me the super hot ones, a few times. The sausage links tasted super old and hard. The wait has been excessively long, close to one hour at least. I had to go to my job late because of this wait time. 20 minutes okay, 30 minutes is pushing it, 1 hour???? Their workers lazy, lazy, lazy. For example, one in particular was handing out orders and took his sweet time handing each out. He didn't grab the ready orders at one time and give them to all the customers waiting in the parking lots. I know this because I could see the orders at the clear, see through window. :) He took his sweet time picking one up and handing it to one customer. He took his sweet time walking back picking up another etc. When he could have just picked them all up and made the process more efficient. One thing I will say is that their sauce is always consistent. It is always good. read more
