I really try to patronize small black businesses but I will never be back. For starters to call yourself Big Daddy's Eastcoast Cheesesteak and not be able to live up to it is your first mistake. I have traveled coast to coast from Pats and Genos to Phillys best and your cheesesteak was by far NOT an eastcoast cheesesteak. Bread- cold as if it was placed in the fridge to prevent mold. Provolone- tasted musty like it was under someones armpit. Turkey and cheese sub came straight from the package. I was so disappointed because the name excited me. I drove 30 miles to try this place and as high as gas are, I was tempted to ask them for my money back. Please visit an eastcoast deli, sandwich shop, or a bodega. Came in today after seeing a Facebook post saying this place had "The Best in the World". I had to get my husband here because he loves cheese steaks. The place is a quaint. It has sports memorabilia and Frank Sinatra posters and some pretty amazing artwork on the walls, specifically the Mohammed Ali drawing. We were greeted immediately upon entrance. My husband decided to order the Pepper Cheesesteak with the chili's on the side, a french fry, and there was a free fountain drink because of the Yelp coupon online. I ordered a hamburger, however, apparently they didn't have any burgers left. I am not sure why they didn't get any meat from the store next door, but.. ok.. no burger for me. Our order was finished in about 15 minutes. They thanked us for our order and we were on the way home. The portions are a bit small for the price but the food was good. I would come back again, this may be a hidden gem in Hemet. I also like the fact that this is a family owned business. read more

Heard the hype and was excited to try it out. I must say that the cheese steak sandwich had a decent consistency and taste to it overall, BUT IT WAS BY FAR THE SMALLEST $10+ sandwich that I have EVER SEEN, TERRIBLE VALUE FOR WHAT I PAID. It was basically comical on how small it was, easily half the size as what you would expect, best described as a child's portion. Availability sucks, and pricing is ridiculous we are talking from a $$ to $$$$ translation and order that used to be $35 when I started going here, thats for 3 sandwiches to now almost $50 for the same order. This is our first visit here, and we loved it! Ordered 3 pepper cheese steaks and 2 regular. Both were delicious. They were perfectly seasoned, the roll was toasted just right, customer service, both on the phone, when I placed my order, and when I picked up the sandwiches, was spot on. None of the staff is wearing masking even though they enforce the mask "law". When I pointed out that no one in their staff was wearing a mask. The owner says "bye Felicia get the fuck out." While I had my son with me. I remember this place being really good and very friendly. I guess with the way things are now a days there isn't much humanity left. Waited in line for 20 min just to get to front to be told they have to check to see how much bread they have left and the owner/cook turned around greeted the customer behind us and said no matter what he getting a sandwich he comes every day. We were in front of him like tf you mean how can you have good customers if his first time in you say I don't have bread for you but the guy behind you is promised a sandwich. Being a huge fan of the East Coast; especially Chicago, Detroit, and New York. I'm not sure if Big Daddy's makes their bread but it sure tasted like they did. Reminded my of East Coast doe that always seems to be better (I hear the trick is as simple as just the elevation difference giving a better rise). I had a conversation with the owner. She was very friendly. I love to ask mom and pop local spots what their popular items are. Wasn't a fan of her response that as the owner everything is good. I've found that it isn't ever an appropriate response as majority of the time that isn't true. In this case, it falls under that category in my opinion. My friend and I ordered the Original Cheese Steak and the Meatball Sandwich. First, the Meatball Sandwich, it was in my opinion subpar. The meatballs tasted overcooked. Outside was a bit crunchy, the inside a bit dry, and overall defintiely tasted reheated which could be the problem. The sauce was a bit overly sweat as if they used a cheap canned puree and poorly seasoned it. Overall I wasn't impressed not one bit with the Meatball Sandwich. Now, the Original Cheese Steak. This is what she should suggest to all Big Daddy's new comers. From first bite to last bite it was amazing. I enjoyed the beef flavor and cheese. It brought me back to one of my Detroit trips for my first Ruben sandwich. What all great memory. The Cheese Steak was perfectly mixed and cooked. If you want an amazing Cheese Steak.
