Coming from out of town we were in the mood for hotdogs but prefer local over chains. We can not express how lucky we felt to have found this place. Big Daddy's is as local as one could get from the artwork hung on the walls to the people behind the counter. Everything has the charm and uniqueness we were looking for. As for the food we both got their special of the day; two dogs anyway you want them with a side for $11. Two with relish, mustard and sauerkraut. Another just ketchup and mustard. The last being a Chicago and the closes I have ever had out of being in the city myself. The toasted buns added and nice little crunch to go with the soft hotdog. All five star reviews? The Hot dogs are very good and big in size. The toasted bun is nice, but a little small next to the large dog. If you plan on loading up the dog with cheese, chili, etc you won't get much on without it over flowing the bun. When you walk in seems like way to much cook space compared to the amount of tables. If they were really busy then there wouldn't be enough seating space. The Thursday I went the amount people wasn't a problem. The side item are really small for the price, most are 99 cent. The Hot dog prices were good $3.50 for a plain one and it goes up from there. Drink selection was very limited, in bottles most $1.99. Would I go back, for me No. The dogs were good, but limited drinks, higher priced sides and the general appearance just didn't do it for me. Side note they use Square I think for the payment. Not sure if it came from them maybe wi-fi that isn't secure, but I got call about hour later that the credit card I used got used somewhere . We had tried to go here before but they were closed for a hurricane. I had seen that they had a great review for their lobster roll. The place is very small but nice, with friendly counter service. Ordered the Lobster roll and an Italian sausage, got some drinks and took a seat at a table. The Italian sausage and the lobster role were delicious. The gentleman behind the counter aka Small Fry is a Cowboys fan so right out of the gate we got along fine.
