We visited on a Monday afternoon - after what would be considered the lunch rush. We were welcomed upon entering. There were only 2 other tables with patrons. We ordered 1 burger with 1 fries & 2 drinks. We waited 30-45 minutes. As we were getting our food, another patron - who was there with a group of 6 & had been there waiting when we got there - asked for his money back because they had been waiting for over an hour. Our hamburger was not cooked completely and neither were the fries. We did not have the time to find another restaurant that day. We thought a local "dive"' would be better than the Whataburger down the street but we were wrong. We will not go back. read more

I have only eaten from here once and I got take-out, so I can't speak to the dining room experience. BUT, the folks eating seemed to be locals who obviously knew each other. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The lady working the counter was very friendly, and the kitchen staff waved out to me and said Thanks. Very friendly place. The restaurant was small but didn't feel crowded. It was clean and didn't smell or anything. I didn't see anything that would keep me from dining in. The food was decent but not fantastic. No complaints there. Their menu has a lot of simple, comfort food items. However, two things on the menu caught my attention. I love both of them and they can be difficult to find. Steak fingers and fried chicken gizzards! Big Daddy's has both and they did not disappoint. Very tasty. I would eat here again based on the strength of these two items alone. Check them out. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. Our Philly cheesesteak and burger were cooked to perfection. The cashier's thoughtful gesture of giving all the children in our group free cookies was greatly appreciated. This was an amazing find along my way to the beach! I came in and immediately wanted fried shrimp. The combo is $13.99 and comes with fries, and a drink and 12 hot and well seasoned fried shrimp. Everything was hot & fresh and by the time I left, all the tables inside were filled with people. The shrimp were piping hot and tasted amazing with the seasoning! I'll have to swing by here for another stop on my trips! I got a $2 discount for something, but then gave it right back in a tip. Total for everything pictured and a Dr. Pepper (also got a to go Dr. Pepper) was $15. 100% recommended! read more

I never write reviews I called ahead of time to see if they had a drive-through because I wanted something fast. it took 30 mins for a ok burger and fries that are undercooked. Not like they were busy. I was the only customer their. I sat at the drive-through window for 30 minutes. The staff was very nice and the girl said she was new. I'm hating the fact that I'm having to do this. The lady at the front was so sweet, but I believe I got food poisoning from there. I waited a few days to investigate what I ate and what could cause it, but it all lead to this place. Before I left I also saw one of the back of the house employees wearing no gloves while handling mine and my mom's food. Friendly server and cook. I liked my grilled shrimp but he wasn't crazy about the fried shrimp. The batter was very light but it tasted plain. The hand-cut and -battered onion rings were good but needed some salt. The hushpuppies were very good but they were stingy with the butter especially the refill.
