What a hopping place! If you are lucky enough to have Jaimie take care of you then you are in great hands! She was AWESOME! Service was great, food was fabulous. The Red fish tacos were the size of my head!

The shrimp broil was outstanding

Food was amazing. Oh my God perfect. The crawfish were perfect. Never had it before. Oh my God the whole restaurant helped me learn how to eat them.

Pistolette. Lots of celery!

Had the fried pork ribs tonight...Oh my word! It's like can can pork in Puerto Rico. Bravo!

We were a party of 8 and they got us seated quickly, which was nice. The service was very good as well. Now for the food. So good. Get the grits!! They make grits with a jalapeño cheese sauce and they are amazing. The Mexican butter with the hush puppies is divine. The fried green tomatoes were really good and their homemade ranch is amazing. The only negative thing I have to say is the potato salad was kinda lacking. But everything else was SO good. My husband had the fried oysters and said they were the best he had in a while. Bonus points for having gluten free items!

Wow what credible menu? I can't believe I've never eaten at this restaurant before. I will definitely be coming back. The fried green tomatoes were fantastic. The char grilled oysters on a half shelf phenomenal and then I finish it off with the shrimp which was very tasty. I look forward to coming back.

Shrimp inside the enchiladas. They had absolutely no flavor. The sauce didn't help.

DISAPPOINTING! My S.O. ran out of tea. The manager & our waitress were talking with a nearby table. The waitress eventually walked by us so quickly that I couldn't get her attention. I was able to get the manager. He sent a refill via a busboy & never returned to check on us. That is horrible customer service. My friend & I ended up running out of water & never received a refill. The waitress virtually ignored us. My seafood enchiladas were extremely bland. The shrimp inside looked boiled & were meh. I felt like I need to ask for a shaker of Cajun seasoning. The beans were mediocre as well. My scallop was overcooked & dry. My S.O. always finishes his food & usually eats some of mine. He left at least half of a Redfish taco & said that it wasn't worth taking. Our friend had fried fish & shrimp. He liked Larry & Rita's Cajun TexMex in Groves better. We do not plan to return even though we will be here for 2 weeks. We've eaten at another location. We were not disappointed there. I was looking forward to this visit.

My Tia Juanita Visit Overall: -- Service: Great -- Food: Good -- Family Friendly: Yes -- Would I return?: Yes Here are the details from my visit! We came in as a large party during the holiday week and we were seated in minutes. The decor inside is fun with some upbeat music. So you have no choice but to be in a good mood and enjoy the vibes! Our server was Christina and she was phenomenal! For such a large party, she was very quick, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered a small cup of chicken sausage gumbo followed by blackened shrimp tacos. Gumbo was good but not as thick as I'd expect the roux (spelling??) to be! The tacos were delicious! When I was asking about them while placing my order, she suggested them blackened of the seasoning and she was spot on. Portions were great even for the kids! Overall, we don't visit Winnie, TX often but when we do, I'll be heading back for some more tacos!!

This place was a pleasant surprise and a breath of fresh air for downtown Broadway, in Winnie TX…read more.. most of the shops on this old Main Street have been closed for years so it's good to see it starting to blossom again...speaking of blossoms one can't help but notice the beautiful mandaville (sp.?) vines putting on a show in their festive painted Mexican pots as you approach the entrance and the very smooth Mexican cantina (that I wasn't expecting) as I entered but definitely made me feel like an Icy margarita or pina colada could be enjoyed there... you pass through it and on to the modest but well appointed dinning area with the kitchen behind it... now the food just tops it all off by being fresh, and what seems to be all hand made...the corn tortillas that wrapped my beef enchiladas where so fresh and moist that they made you want to eat the tortillas just by themselves... I have only once had corn tortillas that were like that... and the charro beans weren't overly seasoned but were soft and you could taste the bean itself... and the Spanish rice was the same way lightly seasoned but moist and you could taste the rice's flavor... the entire staff was bright, friendly and energetic and the food was served very promptly... I translated the name and it means "the casserole" in English and when I asked the waitress about the name she said it is also the name of an area in Mexico where they are from...I'm sure these girls will have a successful business... So keep up the good work I give them a big two thumbs up!

I loved the fried green tomatoes with a sauce that almost tasted like chuy's ranch, but it came with a creamy bacon that was good and reminded me of potato soup. My "top shelf" margarita was only $2 more but came with an extra shot. The boudin balls were amazing flavor, nice & moist cooked perfectly. I ordered the fish basket with 5 pieces of fish and bought enough home to have it for lunch out of the air fryer the next day. Husband had the ahi tuna & said it was wonderful flavor. We arrived hungry & left happy with enough lunch for the next day. Great find and will eat again! Joy, was our awesome server to be sure to request her for the best service you could ask for!

Disappointing experience. This restaurant falls short in…read moreboth of the cuisines it advertises--Tex-Mex and Cajun. You know there's a problem when you're charged for chips and salsa. A true Tex-Mex restaurant typically serves complimentary chips and salsa, but that wasn't the case here. The nachos were simply a pile of chips covered with canned nacho cheese sauce instead of individually layered chips topped with beans, cheese, and jalapeños. Honestly, the food at Pancho's was better, which says a lot about the level of quality here. The Cajun dishes were somewhat better, but they still didn't compare to restaurants like Pappadeaux or Landry's. They likely stay busy because they're the only option in the Bolivar Peninsula/Crystal Beach area. The atmosphere and service were the highlights of the visit. Unfortunately, the overpriced menu resulted in a hefty bill that left us feeling underwhelmed and unsatisfied. There's plenty of room for improvement, and I hope the owners from Beaumont make some upgrades to better match the quality their menu promises.

I wasn't sure what to make of the request, but hung up. I told my husband about the phone call and he was less than thrilled. Based on the reviews, I thought there was great potential for a good meal. We drove to the restaurant, and as soon as I stepped inside, I understood what was meant about the line forming. In order to place your order, you must get in line. There's one individual taking orders. At the time we arrived, there was no line and no one inside. We asked a few questions for clarification and dietary advice. I ordered one of their specials with beans. My husband ordered an egg dish with beans and corn tortillas. We were asked if we wanted a drink, we said no, and the nice gentleman asked if we wanted water cups, to which we replied no. I had purchased several drinks the night before, as such we had several beverages in the rental car. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of my dish. It was exactly what I thought of when I think of Mexican food. Great beans and rice. All around tasty food. My husband had the Caribbean omelette. I had an enchilada dish. I left maybe one bite on the plate.
