The brews were okay in my opinion, I enjoyed the Las Vegas Lager the most out of the 5 different ones I tried. One half of the brewery is also dedicated to gambling and thats totally fine but it has that dark dank atmosphere that a lot of the older casinos around Vegas tend to carry, it's a little off putting to the more welcoming bright side where live music is played. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant, and what made it especially disappointing was that the person treating us so rudely turned out to be the manager. We were seated at our table by the hostess. While my husband was temporarily away from the table, a woman came over and attempted to take his chair. I politely explained that my husband was sitting there, but told her she was welcome to take one of the available chairs from the other side of our table. Instead of simply taking another chair, she shoved the chair toward me, made a rude remark, and then told a waiter to get another chair and take it to the table in front of us. About 15 minutes later, the same woman returned and told us that we had to get up and move because our table was supposedly reserved for someone else. At this point, we already had food and drinks on the table. We explained that the hostess had seated us there and that we had absolutely no control over which table the restaurant assigned to us. We were not going to interrupt our meal and move because of an internal seating mistake that had nothing to do with us. Because of the way she spoke to and treated us, I asked who she was and was shocked to learn that she was the manager, Alda Lumowah. A manager should be the person resolving problems and making guests feel welcome--not creating conflict, making rude remarks, shoving a chair toward a customer, and then expecting seated guests with food and drinks to move because of the restaurant's own seating issue. We did nothing wrong. We simply sat at the table where the hostess placed us and expected to enjoy our meal. I have never been treated this rudely in a restaurant, especially by someone in management. The manager's behavior was completely inexcusable and turned what should have been an enjoyable visit into an extremely unpleasant experience. Yelp Review 2026 #174: My friends and I went to Big Dog's just to hang out. They wanted a drink. I wanted to watch the World Cup. We got here before 11am - this is Vegas after all. This bar has been open for many years but I have never been here. We sat in the tap room where it's less smoky and quieter. Shortly after, somebody handed us menus and got us glasses of water. Their food menu looks promising especially for a bar. They have something for everybody. I was thinking about getting their Fiesta Protein Bowl. But I wanted their garlic fries so, I got Fish & Chips and upgraded to garlic fries. It was worth the excess calories and the garlic breath. My friends got a wrap, a veggie burger, and chicken wings. Big Dog in the house...I haven't been to Big Dogs since maybe 96 roughly when they were on West Sahara...I know but to be fair I moved out of state for many years and live completely across town from them now. So we took the drive and they are really far out there. From what I remember that location on West Sahara the inside had the same kind of vibe. Started with an IPA. Had deep fried Mac and cheese that was nice and not dried out like at lot of Mac and cheese balls are. Then went to the pulled pork and fries. The portion of meat was a bit thin since it didn't even cover across the whole bun. You can see my pic for that. I actually moved all the meat to one side just to get a decent sandwich and pulled off the extra empty portion ( maybe charge me a dollar or two more to get enough meat to at least cover the length of the bun). Other than that it was tasty but I would not have objected to a side of the sauce on it. The fries were also nicely seasoned and good also. If you haven't made the trip and you like microbrews you need to make the trek to Big Dogs one of the old school breweries in Vegas. read more

We are regulars at Big Dog's Draft house. This is the place to get really legit pot roast! The staff are friendly and usually give good recommendations. We sat in the remodeled draft room. It was so nice and bright compared to the other part of the house. I am more of a cider girl, but not a fan of the cider they have on draft. I am really picky when it comes to Hefeweizen. Gave Big Dogs a go. It was very busy during breakfast hours. Specially on a Sunday morning while they have football going. They did have a large menu but I went with the avocado toast and the steak and eggs. The avocado toast was a bit sweet so I had to add salt to tone that down. The sweetness part was not my favorite. My other friend ordered a burger and a beer. Our server repeated our order but she did not put it in that way. She put it in for my friend as no veggies and double potato's???? When it came my friend sent hers back. When the server came over to check on us, we told her what happened and she started to argue with us saying she said double potato's. My friend ordered the meatloaf and clearly said "I don't like potato's, can I get extra veggies and no potato's". This server tried to tell all three of us that this is not what she said, that she asked for double potato's and no veggies?? Really?? You are going to argue with a table of 3 people who heard what she ordered and you repeated? Food is awesome, ambiance is awesome, this server, she was not good at all. We had to keep asking for water refills and ask other workers when we needed something. We will be back as we like this place a lot, but this server, she won't be serving us again sadly. We had come in for a late lunch on a Saturday. The ambience was not loud with some music playing. We were seated quickly and served quickly. We chose an appetizer (pretzel). It was tasty. Very soft, was served with a dipping sauce which had flavor. I ended up ordering the smash sliders with tater tots. The order was large and came with a chipotle sauce which was very good. Big Dogs is a staple night out for my wife and I. Short review: Big Dogs has great beer and so many good food items. Long reviews: let's break down by beer, food, environment. Food- Burgers and Sandwiches are probably the go to. The burgers are pretty big and way better than most bars. I personally like the build your own burgers to get exactly what you want, but their premade special ones are also fantastic. However the sandwiches are the showstoppers. From the Nashville Hot to the Tri Tip... they have fantastic options. Beers- Big Dogs always has good beers and on occasions they have some special ones that you think about years later. So my suggestion ask the bartender about some of their special beers. Some are truly one of a kind you'll wish you could have over and over. Happy Hour has some great beer specials too! Environment- This is where it gets tricky. The tap room is a 5 star. Always amazing bartenders who are so knowledgeable and make you want to come back. The Bar side is quite different. It is typically Smokey and the bartenders tend to be more focused on the gamblers and regulars. The patio also is a much different vibe from both the tap room and the bar. So you could have 3 completely different experiences depending on where you sit. Happy to have moved closer to here as it's always a good options! read more

I've going to this local chain since 1995, and the menu keeps getting smaller and smaller. I was super bummed when I didn't see the turkey burger listed, that was my favorite. This is my go to when I crave artichoke dip. The Toscana soup was ok. My husband liked the garlic herb cheese curds, he said they were just good, he said he should have gone with the original. Went here for lunch, using an Anthony Curtis Las Vegas advisor coupon. They had some really great lunch special prices, but we decided to order off the menu for this buy one get one entree from the coupon book. We seated ourselves and a server immediately got us some water as we checked out the menu. Just water today, but I really wanted a beer...next time I will come at cocktail hour... ha ha ha. Hub saw some smash burger sliders he wanted to try and he added on a dollar more for the sweet potato fries. I opted for a salad, with quinoa, black beans and corn with a dressing on the side. Both meals were really good...this is one of the most favorite salads as an entree I have ever enjoyed. Hub also really liked his sliders and said he would get them again. Came here with family to have dinner during the packers game. We had a party of 9, and we didn't have a reservation. We were immediately told by the hostess that they couldn't accommodate our party. We were eventually seated but the treatment we received from the hostess upon arrival is the reason I am deducting 2 stars from my review. When we went to ask for a table, the hostess was pretty rude saying, "this is a packers bar and people make reservations two weeks in advance" with attitude. Meanwhile, upon walking in we noticed many tables outside that were empty. She did say she would check outside to see if she could seat us. Well low and behold, she sat us outside at two separate tables, which wasn't a big deal to us. But maybe check first before immediately turning us down and explaining to us the kind of bar that it is, because we already knew that. To go through all that and give attitude when you do in fact have tables and we ended up being seated right away; was unnecessary. The food was pretty good. Nothing I'd rush to go have again, but decent. The service from the servers was great, and they were very attentive. The initial experience with the hostess just rubbed us the wrong way. I believe this is the oldest and largest brewery in Las Vegas. The restaurant portion has been renovated in recent years, and a taproom has been added to it. This is where I sit indoors because it is the nonsmoking portion the pub (along with the patio). The combined beer selection from both bars has been leveled up to place it in my my top two local breweries. Currently, in the fall season, they have a mesmerizing array of barrel-aged strong beers (rivaling the likes of Able Baker Brewing). While watching Game 1 of the 2025 World Series, I enjoyed Jacked Up Pumpkin (barrel-aged barleywine with pumkin pie spice, graham cracker, and vanilla), and Canicross (imperial stout with churro). At 10+% alcohol by volume, a ten-ounce serving of each reached my limit for the night.
