Ok, so we walked into this cool kitschy country ambience. Love it. The dining seating is open to the bar, so yes there is some smoke. Our waitress was special. Checking in on a good basis. The food was good. We over ordered like we do a lot. The fried mushrooms with homemade ranch was tasty and the potato skins were yummy. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and coleslaw. I had the turkey over a waffle of stuffing. You read that right a waffle made of stuffing. The gravy on my taters and turkey was decent. Could have had a bit more flavor. Overall we liked it. Diane and I returned here to enjoy more potatoey and cheesy Potato Skins and to try out a new product: Nachos with Ground Beef. Because she does not like most vegetables or anything spicy such as Jalapenos, we asked to have one-third of the Nachos prepared without Jalapenos, Black Olives, or Nacho Cheese, and the rest made as it is normally served. The chef did us one better, separating the order into two individual platters of Nachos, with one-third of the total going to Diane, and two-thirds to me. Portion sizes were generous. These Nachos were excellent and filling, and it seemed that extra melted Cheddar Cheese had been placed on Tortilla Chips atop the plainer version. The more numerous ingredients on my more robust version were nicely balanced. We both left satisfied and happy. Service by Heidi U. was again exemplary, and booth seating comfortable. read more

Seems more like a biker bar than restaurant. Food was average at best. Nothing special about food itself. Service was good, but kitchen was slow during a lull time. It is very smokey with no abatement measures. Won't be going back. read more

I've came here on 2 separate occasions, a busy Saturday night and a slow Thursday afternoon. The food and drinks are always amazing. The prices for the food are perfect. We had quite an assortment of food but my favorite was definitely the bacon cheese fries. The drinks are good and well priced as well. A well drink cost $4 and a 16Oz Dom Beer cost $5. Have been going to this place for a very long time, but no more. The owner decided to raise the food prices. $21.99 for chicken fried steak for breakfast is the highest price in the area. Can't remember my waitress' name, but came here to eat 11/16 around 6:15 before going to a movie across the street. Despite having a lot of tables because of the Knight's game, she was on point. She greeted me not long after I sat down, clearly knew the menu, ran everything I ordered, table touched in timely manners. I prefer to dine alone when I go out to eat, and have been given lackluster service a handful of times for being a 1 top. I was born and raised in Las Vegas and have seen the Santa Fe mining company offers rainbow for years even when the TCMI church used to be a movie theater... and I have never been... they ran a promotion on Cinco de Mayo where you could get ground beef tortillas all the Fixin's and alcohol if you wanted to add on for a little over 40 bucks... so we tried it. Instant nostalgia. When I was in college we used to go to a bar to order tacos on Thursdays they were like two dollars a piece and they were delicious... These tacos taste exactly like that. I hope even after Covid they continue to do deals like this. It was fantastic and we will be back many many many times! read more

Meat was prepared perfectly and tender not the usual chewy meat on breakfast menus. For 1.99 extra get the best pancakes in town. Also have had both the patty melt and Reuben that were delicious. We got our group of friends together for dinner tonight and because our regular place had an event going on tonight, we moved our dinner to here. Our waitress was very attentive and the chili cheeseburger was very good. After dinner, I decided to sit at the bar and play for a little while after dinner. I was served my first drink right away. When I was ready for another one, the bartender took my order. My drink never came. Nothing pisses me off more than being forgotten, then completely ignored, especially being a good tipper. I've been coming to Santa Fe Mining Co. since 2009. There have been good days and mediocre days but should there be that rare day I let them know and they make it right. The last 6 months they have seem to hit their stride. Breakfasts are generally very good and the rest of the menu is just plain good. The barbeque menu that has been added in the last year is great. The staff is mostly right on. The occasional various rowdy customers can get raunchy, and inconsiderate of fellow patrons, so it makes one hesitant to invite friends and neighbors along. read more

I've had this bookmarked and finally got to try it, hard as it was to find. Except for a couple of barflies at the big central bar, we were the only ones eating. I'm not a beer drinker, so I was disappointed to learn that wine selections are pretty limited. Had to settle for Chardonnay, which I'm not a fan of. The menu is typical for a pub, and the sandwich list had a good selection of interesting chicken combos. (I didn't look at the hamburger choices). The one I chose had guacamole and grilled chicken. The guac was fresh, and the cole slaw I had with it wasn't drowning in mayo. But the only choices were white or wheat buns, no other bread. The hubster started with tortilla soup, which was freshly made but not very spicy. It was just ordinary. He also had a turkey and bacon wrap, and he enjoyed it. Overall, the food is fresh, and the service is very good. But if we have to travel this far for pub food, there are others that we prefer over Santa Fe. read more

I have one star each to the atmosphere and the server because she was actually good at her job. If I had to choose a single word about the food here, it would be "eatable." We ordered jalapeño peppers for an appetizer, we got bonus fries on the bottom and the poppers were mostly exploded; which tells me that either the oil had floaters in it or they fried them with a dirty basket. I ordered the fish tacos; which are described as having corn tortillas topped with shredded cabbage. Mine were flour tortillas, topped with wilted iceberg shreds. Not to mention the "salsa" tasted like garlic marinara sauce. It looked like the tomatoe pieces were curdled and the water had separated. Star of the show; the fish, was so over cooked, I chewed on it like a piece of old gum. Overall we spent $30 on a pretty unsatisfying lunch. Won't be back... read more

Customer be Aware...and ask the waitress when you order any meals here that have cheese in it because it might have a ghostpepper!!! just be aware. Their menus are not updated since they have to have paper ones that are throwaways. So just save yourself a burning mouth and still be able to taste the delicious food just make sure you don't have a ghost pepper in your cheese when you go to order! Food is really good, Beers are Cold, and the staff are super helpful and hard working AF!!! Still no 1st responder or Military discount option so my Crew usually only comes here once every few months. It's Friday so I was hoping for Clam chowder, however, struck out cold but the fish and chips and shrimp platter was a good choice and wasn't a menu item so I asked if there were any "specials" and the awesome waitress told me about that. My husband always orders the chicken fried steak every time we try a new restaurant. Of course he had to try it here. He said that this was probably the BEST he's ever had. Thick and fried to perfection with tasty gravy. And he knows a thing or two about chicken fried steak. I had the breakfast that comes with bacon, sausage AND ham. The bacon was outstanding and the rest was delicious as well. The place smelled a little like cigarette smoke when we went in, but eat in the dining area and you don't notice it.
