Lamb fries, gyro , and platter
    Maile T.

Looks a lot better than it taste . The chicken meat was better and juicer than the lamb. The lamb pieces in my bowl were small and on the burnt side, kind of like left over scraps of meat. The platter tasted bland so we added a lot more sauce. Also, the bowls are small. I'd rate 6.5/10 for taste and 5/10 for quantity. Best tasting thing was the plain fries we got on the side.

I want to say that I ordered online and this has to be one of the best lamb and beef Mediterranean bowls I have ever had. The meat was so tender. The fries were perfectly crisp and the flavors were present. They did forget my fork though, but I am a very innovative lady, and found a gas station on the way and it was delicious. I didn't dine in, so I can't really stay with the service is on the ambience was a small little shop but it was well-maintained.

    If guys mixes rice platter.

The food was delivered quick - it's very tasty and I would order it again. I wouldn't call it a platter but it's enough food for a hungry person.

Customer service was lovely but food was bland, fries had more flavor than the chicken and rice bowl.

I was really disappointed. I was craving lamb over rice and this was the closest thing I could find in downtown. The restaurant is fairly small but I can see it getting packed late at night since there's a lot of bars around. My bf and I ordered the beef and lamb rice platter and a side of the waffle fries. The lamb/beef wasn't seasoned well, it tasted old and was dry. The lettuce and tomatoes didn't taste fresh. The rice was also dry. The red sauce wasn't spicy at all (but it's normally super duper spicy at other places). The only thing I truly enjoyed were the waffle fries. They were crispy and was seasoned well. It had a bit of a spicy kick. Overall, I wouldn't recommend.

    Flalafel Salad w/pita

Falafel Salad I have been anxious to try this place and finally, had a chance to do so. The establishment was very clean, and the cashier was very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu was easy to understand and well made, I wish they had to-go menus, as well. You can order online, but there is a fee attached, I'll pass. My salad: The falafel and pita were dang delicious, however, the lettuce was saturated in water, which made my falafel a bit soggy. I will not get a salad again, but I will definitely try some of the other things on their menu. *This is for the new Euless, location.

Food was great. Order the chicken dish. I loved the flavor. Everything about this meal was delicious. The veggies were very fresh. I ordered from Uber eats so I'm not sure about the service or ambiance but I'll definitely order again very soon!

Did a takeout of this place through Door Dash. For the amount we paid I was pretty disappointed by the portion size.

Ask the Community - Big Guy's Chicken & Rice

Are the salads just the platters but with just salad no rice?

    What does 50/50 rice mean?

Traditionally the bowls come over rice with a small side of salad in the bowl. 50/50 means you’d like more salad and less rice. An even 50/50 portion :)

Why don't you have aloo anymore? No more vegetarian options?

Hello we have been having issues with our aloo supplier being able to keep up with volume and lack of production but we always have veggie options available even if Aloo's are sold out which is the falafel vegan option

    Is the meat halal?

    Yes, it is.

HAHA Ordered the #5 Double Meat special and fries. People love comparing this to that, etc....I've never had 2 burgers like this. It was hot, it was yummy it was delivered with awesome service by Tami (my car hop!!). The fries? They were hot and awesome. Watch out on those fries...let em cool a bit. I will be back for sure soon! Strange to think this place could get full, but I bet it does on a daily basis at lunch/dinner. 1st spot you see might be the last spot you see during a busy lunch/dinner rush.

It does have an old vibe to it with the people go to you to order the food. There are many cars outside and was worried that it would take awhile. The servers come to you and you order through their tablet. I had to take a minute, but you have to make sure you have your blinkers on and they will come to you. I ordered the following #5 Special with bacon #1 The best burger and then the cheese fries I got the order within 10 minutes and did not take too long. Once they deliver the food to you, I paid through credit card and then you can tip them so I gave them an 18% tip as they were nice and serve the food to me. The food is very messy and oily so make sure you bring some hand sanitizer. They packed in a lot of napkins as well. The burger itself was just alright, was a little cold for me though so not so sure how long it was waiting. The lettuce and tomato was a little on the soggy side. The meat itself was just alright. When I ate it, I did not experience the wow factor. I can not complain about the price however. Overall, I rather go to Inn-n-out, but I am glad I got one of the places to try in Dallas out of the way.

Mixed Plate Classic ($12.99) + Seasoned Vegetables ($1.00): We chose the Honolulu Chicken, Kilauea Chicken, white rice, and seasoned vegetables. The veggies tasted like frozen veggies and the white rice came underneath the chicken, which we didn't realize until after. Had we known, we would have chosen the macaroni salad as our second side instead. The Honolulu Chicken is supposed to be garlicky but the flavors were just alright. The Kilauea Chicken was way better and had a nice little spicy kick. The white rice was also okay but a bit on the harder side. Additional Teriyaki Sauce Cup ($0.25): We ended up pouring this over the vegetables to give them some flavor. SPAM Musubi Single ($3.79): Not good. The rice was hard and they just poured teriyaki sauce on top of the spam. Skip this one. Pineapple Luau Slider Single ($3.99): It was okay but I wished it was made with Hawaiian rolls. Scoop Macaroni Salad ($0.99): Also just okay. It tastes like a black pepper macaroni salad. You can skip this one too. Mini Twist Soft Serve ($1.99): A mix of blue island wave and pineapple Dole soft serve that is fat free, dairy free, gluten free, and low calorie. This was really good and a great way to end the meal.
