This place is a staple for me. I can't put 4 stars on it as I have nothing to complain about or wish they did. Have had most menu items and all great. Again with my reviews I look at Price and what I get for it. Decor is Fun and great for all ages. Louder in the lounge and quieter in dining room. They'll make any food adjustments to make it yours, as I like to spice up my food. Great wings, burgers (Cajun Chicken hmmmm), pizza etc.... As for Covid they have nice separation as it's a large space and ceiling are very tall with modern HVAC. Bar code menu. Seriously why they close these type of operators is nuts as they are safer than any grocery store and I'm the family shopper now. I love the eclectic diverse options on the menu. My friend and I decided to try Egg Chorizo Benedict and Yellow fin tuna BLT. My friend let me try one of his egg circle sandwich on cornbread and it was delicious. The chorizo had a spicy kick to it but the creamy sauce kept it from being too hot. It was very good but I preferred my tuna BLT. The yellow fin tuna was so thick and juicy. I loved eating this fish Omygosh so tender and yummy it was! The avocado spread was also one of my favorite part of this sandwich, it was layered on thick with actual chunks of Avocado. I highly recommend it if you love seafood like me. read more

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious, the drinks are good, and the staff and manager are all very welcoming. I came here with a bunch of friends and ordered like crazy. The food came in 10 minutes. My favorite has to be the Ginger Beef Stir-Fry. 3 of my friends had the Double Smashed Burgers, which has two patties, and two other friends ordered the Vietnamese Noodle Salad which is a cold, light salad. The kids had the chicken tenders which was a hit with both the kids and adult. The portions are good and some good to share. There was a Burger Week several weeks ago and that was fun. I've already eaten here several times. Its busy during sports season and a great place to eat before taking the bus to the Bombers football games. The manager sometimes will give drink vouchers for people to come back after the game. My friend had her engagement party on the top terrace and I saw a party of bachelorettes the last time I was there also. Overall, this is a fun spot with good food/drinks. read more

Came to visit some friends and they took us here. Really nice inside with some cool art work. Everything looks new or recently remodeled. I thought it was nice house the bar was on a split level from the restaurant so they seemed separate but connected. I had the double smash burger and it was honestly one of the best burgers I've had! The dry ribs are a must have. And the $5 beer on happy hour was great. And the best thing of all is that they run a free shuttle to the Winnipeg Bombers game!! read more

The best!!! Whether meeting a friend for an after work drink, or planning a party for 80 people, Confusion Corner is hard to beat! The food is delicious, and the drink menu is extensive. For the party, they were so accommodating of dietary restrictions, and all staff worked tremendously hard to make sure guests' needs were met. I wanted to check out this place again because one of my friends had said they knocked down the wall between the lounge and the restaurant so I was curious to see how it looked. From someone who always eats in the lounge I thought it was great, but I could see how someone in the dining room wouldn't agree. It makes it look like one big lounge, especially when sports are on. This place is always busy - which I love, yet we can always find a table. The service is decent, solid 15% tip everytime. In the summertime when the rooftop is open is the best, it's a little gem that I don't think a ton of people know about. I ended up having the Wasabi-Sesame Crusted Tuna which is a 7oz sushi-grade Albacore tuna Loin marinated in a Tataki sauce; rolled in wasabi and sesame seeds and pan seared rare for $26. It's a good value, fresh, delicious. I would have liked more wasabi just because I like spice and less seeds. They rolled it one too many times. The parking is easy for a place on Corydon since they have their own lot. It's one of my top picks to go to in the city. The decor is nice, trendy but not stuffy. read more

We weren't sure where to eat in our visit to Winnipeg and so we came to this neighborhood expecting to be tempted. The threat of rain started to become more serious and we spied this restaurant from across the crazy-ass intersection. Boy, I'm happy we ended up here. We had the pizza with artichokes, feta and mozzarella cheeses, chicken and pesto. Oh... my... god. That was a damn good pizza and I think I will remember it for a long time. We also split a salad that came with berries and nuts - that was very good, but stood in the shadow of the Great Pizza. I liked the atmosphere of this place too - very fun, urban, and chic without being too pretentious. read more

Love this place! I've gone 3-4 times in the past few months and it never disappoints. Rooftop patio is great in the fall/spring because of the heaters (and obviously the summer as well). Drinks are great and portions sizes are very fair. Happy hour drinks are $5 beers and $6 house wine. Fries and yam fries portions are huge and make for a great share. Some of my favourite chicken fingers in the city for sure. Newly renovated and always friendly. Must see! read more

The newly renovated Confusion Corner is our favourite go-to spot in Winnipeg! We are so fond of it we actually came here several times during our visit and we even gotten to know the friendly staffs and manager Kevin. They are always attentive and great with recommendations, food/drinks or even where to go in town. The contemporary industrial design and the gorgeous fireplace created a warm welcoming atmosphere. There are several booths and good seating areas around the restaurant, where we could enjoy our company and still have a good view of the place and people watching. When we had a smaller group, we liked sitting at the beautiful bar and having a few good chats with the bartenders here and there. The food was delicious and we learned that they are made fresh from the kitchen. Since we were here a few times, we were able to try most of the menu. Our must orders were always the famous chicken tenders, lumpia rolls, chicken wings and dry ribs to share. I really enjoyed the double smashed burger because the freshly made patties just make it extra juicy! The homemade fries are also super tasty and we even upgraded it to poutine (for poutine lovers out there!) Cauliflower crusted pizza, fish and chips, char+cheese board, reuben, nacho, beef stir-fry, are all good portion to share if you're generous with your friends and family :) When feeling healthy, the poke bowl, french onion soup, torched tuna, vegan power bowl and Vietnamese noodle salad are light and yummy!! The drinks are great as well, there's a wide range of local beers and cool cocktails to try. All and all we really had a fantastic time and always left here with a happy tummy. I was fortunate enough to get to this spot twice while in Winnipeg on business. The first visit certainly exceeded my expectations which made the second visit an easy decision. The manager Kevin convinced me to take in the Blue Bombers home game experience (food and drink specials as well as a party bus to and from the stadium). Once again this was a great time with a better atmosphere before and after the Bomber game. I highly recommend the chicken tenders as they are better than any review can describe. The staff are all super friendly and make you feel like a local. The vibe inside as well as the roof top patio makes this spot a place I will be returning to next time I am in Winnipeg. read more

I don't have too much to say about this place. I end up here every now and then to sit in the lounge and have some drinks, and occasionally have dinner. Confusion Corner falls into the same group of restaurants as moxies, joeys and earls. It's one of those places where the scene is as important as what is on the menu, and the menu certainly does not disappoint. The menu has some good variety with favourites such as bison short ribs and the lamb shank. You can also get steak, sandwiches, pizza, and burgers. I've never had any complaints about the food. The whole venue is very nice. I always sit in the lounge, which isn't as big or nice as an earls or moxies lounge but has TVs for sports and comfortable seating. My favourite thing about Confusion Corner is the upstairs patio. Winnipegers love a good patio, and this one is elevated so that makes it even better. The reason I only gave this place three stars is that it has been kind of dead there recently, which is unfortunate. Maybe because the last few times I've been there has been during the winter. I'm sure it will be busier come summer, but it's no fun sitting in a lounge where you are the only table. Overall, good food, service and slightly pricey while atmosphere is dictated by the season. read more

Both our steaks were overdone and the dressing had way too much garlic in it (and I love garlic). Awful food. Came through Winnipeg on the #1 and decided to take an early afternoon detour to this bar. It decor was lovely and it wasn't too busy but when we sat down things started to go down hill. With only 2 or 3 staff we thought they should be able to take care of us. But they seemed to be more concerned with the guys at the other table than my boyfriend and myself. We had both been craving a ruben sandwich so we ordered them. It was the strangest Ruben we've ever had. For some reason the meat had more gristle than meat and it had thousand island salad dressing. Not sure what kind of sandwich that was. The mushroom soup also left something to be desired. The fries at the other table looked quite good though. Maybe we'll just order them next time. read more

I have lived in Winnipeg for two years and am from out of town originally. We pass by this place a lot and had never gone in. So we finally went in and we ordered some appetizers because we were waiting for two others and our food got to us and so did our company we were waiting for. We were waiting to order the rest and it took the waitress an hour and 15 minutes to come back to our table. She was surprised when we said we didn't want to order anymore but realistically we left and went to a pub we knew had great service and great food. This is one of many mediocre restaurants in the city that charge prices incommensurate with the quality of the food. I had a CCB&G Deli Sandwich with, the menu claimed, "smoked beef piled on a sesame bun." I would quarrel with the word "piled". The sandwich was a sleight of hand - it contained two breaded and deep-fried pickles that gave the sandwich it's impossible-to-get-in-your-mouth height. Take those away and you have a sandwich that would shame any deli - a few mingy slices of meat and cheese with a slice of tomato and some lettuce lying limply on a white-ish bun of some nature. And then, of course, there were the usual unremarkable french fries that are the plague of many restaurants. Cost - $15. Not worth it. read more

Our waitress had to be flagged down averytime we wanted to have a drink, and the food tasted like it was premade, vacuum sealed and frozen. Terrible experience! I went to confusion corner bar and grill with my boyfriend and quite enjoyed it. The service was friendly, if not friendlier because my BF knew the waitress so I am sure we got a little extra attention. Food was pretty good, nothing outstanding though. I had the calamari and it was pretty good, light and crispy, not to oily and the tzatiki was cool and creamy. The cocktails here are pretty good. This is a nice place to go with a friend to catch up, not really meant for families though. read more
