Great place fresh food and a friendly staff.
Leslie D.

My wife and I ate lunch here last week. The food was delicious and fresh. We ordered the two meat plate with chicken, beef and macaroni salad. Everything was cooked well and fresh. They served big plates of food. The service was good. The ambiance was a beach theme.

Food good. I had the teriyaki beef bowl. Friendly service. Easy parking. Seating was available.

This is a must whenever in Bend. Their Kalbi beef and yakisoba are my two faves and it's always so delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is small and really a hole in the wall so seating might be a struggle at times, but the food is always great!

i've eaten a lot of Hawaiian bbq and I must say this is one of the top 3 spots i have ever been too and i've been to Hawaii multiple times. This spot is elite, i'm in Bend for a week planning to come everyday

First of all, I picked up my order and the lady was extremely nice. The Mac salad portion on the side was two bites, the beef and chicken were extremely overcooked and chewy. Didn't know if it was an off night, but seemed odd for a Friday night.

Pretty small seating area in winter, but great food.

Having spent a lot of time in the islands, mostly on Kauai in Hanalei ... I had my favorite breakfast hut like a million years ago and they had the craziest Loco Moko. Surf Fuel for sure and now in Bend is awesome. YELP Short Answer: Yes please visit, nice people, great food. Location: Lots of parking usually, retail complex in Old Mill, next to Regal Cinema.. a little hard to see but it is there. Build Out: very nice, local looking, and similar or a lot nicer than what I'd find in the islands. Nothing fancy, but clean with open seating. Menu: Excellent options, I would suggest the Loco Moko pretty good here and it is all about the gravel, maybe ask for a little extra. Food Prep: Really nice, everything plate comes out the same done with care. Food Quality: All seems fresh and not over salted, Rice cooked great and eggs not greasy. I know it is not healthy, but at Big Island it just seems more healthy than my hut. Waitstaff: Incredible, so nice and happy to assist. Overall VALUE: Excellent, fun, good food, clean, and great service.

Combo Plate with Chicken Teriyaki and Spicy Chicken with broccoli and a side of potato mac salad(not shown)
Adam C.

After spending some time around the old mill district, we grabbed some food from here to eat on the way home and overall it was pretty good. I got the combo plate with Chicken Teriyaki and Spicy Chicken. The teriyaki sauce was fairly bland and a bit on the runny side but I really enjoyed the spicy chicken flavor! Chicken pieces were pretty thin and portions felt a little on the small side so I didn't quite get full after eating my entire meal. The potato mac tasted fantastic though, I thoroughly enjoyed that! And the steamed broccoli was perfect with some buttery saturation, yum! Next time I'd just get Spicy Chicken meal rather than a combo because I'd probably get a little more chicken that way? Either way, it's a cute little place with good tasting food and worth stopping by if you're in the area!

Don't get chicken stir fry
Kevin D.

The chicken stir fry is a scam. It's all onions, with hardly any chicken. If I come back I'll try something else and update the review.

When you get there you get in line, but this is no Chipotle (no shade on Chipotle). While you are in line, one of the staff will ask you what you want to drink and will bring it to you so this makes the line much more bearable - and we enjoyed the unique cocktails. Also, while you're on line you can people-watch, take in the cool decor, and decide from the enticing menu. Also, while you're on line, one of the staff will find out how many are in your party so they can start strategizing about where to seat you so you don't have to worry about scrambling for a table. When you get to the front, you order, and they give you a number and they seat you. The line can be long, but it moves, and as I mentioned, you may have a cocktail in your hand to help you get through it. Now to the food. It's a fusion of Asian and Mexican food, very unique offerings. The trouble will be deciding what to have so I recommend sharing if you're there with somebody else so you can try a lot of things. We had the peanut tomato curry with chicken, the spicy fried chicken, the side salad, and the pièce de résistance, which was the carnitas sandwich. You can have this for dessert, it's so rich and delicious. Everything was good and the curry was also a standout. We really enjoyed Spork!

I had the Dan Dan noodles and once I started eating them I couldn't stop they were so good! When you get there get in line and they will come get your drink order and give you a menu, then you get to the register and place your order and they will take you to a table. The service was spot on and attentive but not over done. There is also a great drink, beer and mocktail menu that has tasty beverages! Very family friendly with a great kids menu and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Awesome little booths and great places to have conversation. We very much enjoyed Spork!

The rice-to-fish ratio is spot on (they don't use a ton of rice on their rolls) so you really taste the flavor of the sushi as opposed to just filling up on rice. My favorite rolls are the Edison and Sunshine rolls, both of which are gluten-free. They have also accommodated a GF salmon poke bowl, which had a delicious sweet sauce and loads of fish. Be sure to check them out at The Lot if you're in the area!

I had a crazy interaction with the two people running the cart who were both incredibly rude. Specifically the lady that was working at the time. I ordered the wrong menu item and when I admitted my mistake and asked to get the other item I meant to order, the lady scoffed in my face and shut the window on me. I even said "you can be nice about it" wich she then YELLED at me that it was "my fault" as I walked away with my food IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. Very sad how people can be so quick to jump to negativity and anger. Maki employees if your reading this, i think you'll find your lives to be much easier if you choose kindness. Love your food, hate your attitude.

A one star for me is a rare occurrence but, seriously.... Just avoid this place…read more.. To call this a tiki bar is an insult to the entire culture around Tiki. Let's just start out with the atmosphere.... This place is just covered in craft store plants and Amazon decorations. No character nothing special. Now I could've gotten past that if the drinks were OK. I didn't have super high hopes, but I was very excited to find a Tiki Bar in Bend while I was traveling for work. So I started out with just a classic Mai Tai after looking over the menu and being pretty disappointed that it's just the most basic "tiki" drinks in existence. The Mai Tai was flat out awful, and I mean AWFUL. It tasted like water mixed with lime juice. No alcohol taste in anyway, and not even a drip of Orgeat taste. It is so bad that it upset me, and it's completely clear like water. I did decide to stay cause I needed a break from the long week of work, but I just went straight to rum straight. I could've overlooked this, if there was even any slight conversation at the bar with the bartenders, but they had no interest in talking to the people that were there, three of the people at the bar were employees, and the entire time was just them talking together about how much they don't like rum or even the drinks on the menu. Wild. Past that they were talking about how they store their juices, and that they don't date label them in any way or throw them out after a certain amount of days, they just come in and taste them to see if they've gone bad. Get the f*** out of here.... A quick Google search will show you that most citrus juices start to oxidize within the hour, and orange and pineapple are not far behind... Don't even come here and give it a try, just go somewhere else.... This place should not be in business.

Food Cart Pods are not a thing where I'm from, so whenever I see one, it's pretty exciting. First of all, do all Cart Pods have names? I love this one; "The Podski", HA! Ok but beyond that, this place had so many delicious and unique options. We had Italian arancinis twice, a sampler of Pierogis, delicious oyster shooters and shrimp tacos. One thing we didn't get but looked awesome: I don't know if we missed out on some gem, but so many people were getting the burgers/fries from one truck. Also, so many other people were getting stuff from the Thai truck. And to top it off... the beer/cider station had an awesome deal. For about the same price you'd pay for a typical pint, they pour about 20 ounces of happy beverage into a taller than I expected glass. The picnic tables are colorful, there's a covered tent if you're feeling cold, people are friendly... it's just overall a great place to chill, drink, & eat.
