IYKYK... Ever since Pops has not been around this place has gone downhill. I was only person in line, waited over 10 minutes just to be acknowledged. Order: happy pineapple, panda bundle, hamachi nigiri since i was told they were out of big eye tuna. It took more than 50 minutes to complete my order. The two people in the truck were too busy singing and asking each other what they like to do for fun when they aren't working. I have been coming here (and the former location in Tumalo for years. Years!) This time i was disappointed, and might not return. The happy pineapple was far smaller than usual. The nigiri was mostly rice with a shaving of hamachi on top. Panda bundle too seemed even smaller than ever before. It sucks too, because even though i am here 3-4 times a year, i would always hear, "Hey KJ, good to see you again brother!" Been to this food truck many times, and the Poke bowls are good when you get the right person making it otherwise you end up with no rice with your bowl or minimal amounts of protein very inconsistent. I also frequently order through Uber eats or DoorDash and it's very rare They actually complete an order regardless of time of day, otherwise they just cancel it and say they're busy. The sushi burrito was really disappointing :( $21 dollars and it was way smaller than the picture looks. The fish tasted fresh but overall was not impressed. I love poke and sushi. I have had amazing sushi and average sushi and enjoy both. This sushi is at best average. I don't write reviews for mediocre or average establishments. Only the best and the worst. This one isn't the best. They are slow and rude. I love food trucks. This place has several that are very good. Some of them are even slow but my experience is none of them are as rude. Also GOOGLE should be aware they are giving a discounts for reviews when you are at their establishment. Paying for reviews is a red flag in my opinion. Look at the other low reviews. There is a common thread of bad service and rudeness. read more

Very stoked to have good, fresh seafood available up in Tumalo at The Bite! I've tried several of the gluten-free poke bowls and sushi rolls and really enjoyed them all. For especially friendly service, visit them at the Midtown Yacht Club location. (Frank, aka "Pops" is the BEST!) These guys get slammed with online and in-person orders so sometimes they can be a bit short/rushed, but overall the food is good quality and I appreciate that they work hard to get things right. read more

I ordered food before I saw reviews. When I saw the reviews I was concerned. The negative reviews are mostly related to how slow the food is sent out. We didnt have the problem the food came out pretty quickly and the food was pretty solid. Great tasting and quick. I am not mad at it for sure. I would say you could do a lot worst for decent sushi. I have to say...I've eaten here a few times over the past few months & I will continue to come back whenever the sushi crave hits. I chose 3 rolls for my husband & I to share & all 3 were excellent! They had to improvise on one of the roll toppings & not only did they apologize for the inconvenience, but they refunded me my roll charge plus made me a substitute roll to compensate at no charge. The north fresh poke bowl was possibly the best poke bowl I have had outside of Hawaii or Japan. I wondered whether jalapenos and pineapple could go. It went, and it went fast. The tuna tasted fresh and the produce was as well. I liked the sauce, it had a good amount of heat without overwhelming the flavor of the tuna. If I could offer one piece of feedback, don't shout, "make a decision" at customers, especially if I am the only person in line. The menu is not posted, it's a qr code scan and takes a while to navigate. Post the menu if you want quicker ordering. read more

The staff ignores you at the window, only to finally say: 1) we're out of poke / tuna / salmon / can't make your order 2) also, it's a 35-40 minute wait Huge bummer every time. Rudest staff ever. I have been here multiple times and the gentleman at the window was super nice and friendly. This last time the girl who came to the window acted immediately annoyed that I even bothered to want food from them. Even though there was zero line before and after me as it was a slow day. She was so rude. I asked if I could order something with Tuna instead of salmon (something I've always ordered and they've always done) she looked like I insulted her dead relative as she than treated me like crap. I literally said nothing and just walked away. I've never had that happen at this cart ever. A friend at our table went there 5 minutes later, had the gentleman answer the window and said how great the service was. Went to pick up her order and came back shocked. Said the girl gave her the order and was an absolute A-hole and that she would have never ordered from them had she been the one to take her order.
