We ordered from a window in the side of the building, and made our selections from an A-frame sign with 47 (FORTY SEVEN!!) different flavors. With all the usual ice cream shop options, including cones, bowls, waffle cones and bowls, sundaes, banana splits, malts, milkshakes, and floats. We kept it simple with just ice cream cones. My husband got the pretz caramel ice cream and a scoop of ohhh dough both were so good the pretzel ice cream had chocolate coated pretzel balls in it! My daughter got the blue monster, it was really tasty too lots of cookie dough and chocolate cookies. The price for all of us was about 20$ and the portions were very good. Ordered ice cream for pick up and the store was having difficulties with the payment system. I was asked to enter my payment card multiple times and it resulted in a duplicate charge. People seemed lost where the line was . I've never seen a location with people so lost on where to go... especially with no shade in the hot heat. When they called you to the window ; they asked if I could stay there. Where else would I be going without my order? Lol. Someone I talked to said sometimes you order at a window and they give you your order from another window. How confusing .... Just keep the whole transaction at one window ... so much easier for the customer and the staff member. I asked for napkins cuz my ice cream was dripping .... The worker said aren't there any here ... he pointed at the napkin holder outside the window ... which was totally empty. Didn't offer to give me any... had to go down two more windows and get some from another window . If you have napkins outside for customers please make sure there filled. Smooth, creamy and bursting with flavor. I read another review likening Handel's to a basic ice cream business like Thrifty's. I don't agree at all with this comparison.
