I booked Big League Movers a couple of weeks ago to do a move for my sister-in-law. Austin handled the scheduling over the phone and was easy to deal with on all fronts. Today Zach, Derrick, and Evan showed up with 26 foot truck on time and eager to work. These guys made quick work out of her crosstown move and loaded and unloaded very quickly. No items were damaged and the guys did great job. Big League is a bit more expensive than some others but they were well worth it and I would recommend them without reservation. read more

We have used Big League three times. Each time they have been very courteous and professional. On our last move, a piece of our furniture broke during transit. However, they went above and beyond to make sure that everything was taken care of. Although we were upset that this happened, I doubt any other moving company would have worked as hard as they did to make sure that our furniture was repaired. Moving is stressful - everyone knows that. Vacating a recently sold house in 24 hours in July in Memphis - positively dreadful. A good moving company can make or break this experience. A little backstory - my house closed Friday afternoon and I had to be out at 5:00 the next day. We packed as well as we could in advance, scheduled movers for 9:00 AM Saturday morning, and crossed our fingers. I have used a different moving company in the past, and was totally satisfied with them, but they were booked this particular day. So I nervously had to hire a new company for my high-stress day. WIth Big League, the price was right, which is a huge factor in choosing a new moving company. I had very friendly service from the time I placed the first call. The movers did a fantastic job. I still don't know how they got all that stuff in that truck! They were polite, friendly, and didn't damage a thing! They got everything done as efficiently as possible. They were even kind enough to make sure that damage on a piece of furniture was not done in transit (it was pre-existing damage). Post-move, they followed-up to make sure everything was satisfactory, which leaves me with the confidence they would gone out of their way to remedy any complaints. The worst. Literally every piece of my large furniture has a ding or a scratch on it. My armoire was so badly damaged that the door is coming off and the drawers won't go back in right. The movers arrived at my new home reeking of marijuana- like hello, you're at WORK?! Their claims department was supposed to get back to me about it within 48 hours. They didn't. After trying to get in touch with a human for almost a week I finally spoke to someone who said that my claim was for sure filed and someone would let me know something soon. Still nothing. So almost $600 bucks down the drain for these top notch movers and now I need new furniture. So much for hiring "professionals" to take some of the stress off of moving. Terrible. Big League sent two trucks and five men to move us 50 miles September 13th of 2021. We had all small items boxed and labeled, so they only had to load and unload boxes and our furniture. The move went quickly and we did not discover the damage they did to some of our furniture until they were gone. A lot of our furniture is antique, being 100 years old or older. Of the five men, only two seemed to know what they were doing, the other three might as well have been moving concrete blocks or lumber for the little care they took. A piece of molding was missing from a very old linen press and I later learned that a man refinishing kitchen cabinets saw the mover when he broke the piece off, picked it up and threw it in the truck, saying nothing. We also found that two of the legs on a highboy were broken and we later found one of the pieces hidden in a closet. I called Big League immediately when we discovered the damage and they referred me to a gentleman that repairs furniture, which would have been unnecessary had the man that did the damage admitted what had happened and produced the broken parts. They could have been glued back on and the issue resolved in short time. Instead, the pieces had to be made, which took two and a half months and required some heated phone calls to resolve. The people at Big League didn't seem to really care and I got the impression that damage frequently occurs, the furniture repairman said as much. Some damage is understandable. What isn't understandable is hiding it. If you have fragile or valuable possessions, don't trust these people with them. read more

Awful experience. When I moved the same things (2 bedroom apartment, only 1 person living there) from Nashville to Memphis, the whole move took 6 hours including drive time (which is 3 hours). Imagine my surprise when moving 10 minutes down the road in Memphis takes 5 hours. The movers were wholly ineffective. I packed everything neatly and had left access to the bigger items so they could be loaded first. When the movers began moving the boxes, only 1 person would move at a time. The other mover was down at the truck. The man moving the boxes took only 1 at a time--no dolly or anything. The 2nd man was actually talking to a girl in the parking lot. He continued to talk to this girl for about 10 minutes instead of moving anything, and then tried to act like they were related even though they'd clearly never met before. 1. Broke wheels off an empty filing cabinet. Said 1 wheel was in truck--haven't seen it since. A 3-wheeled filing cabinet is not very sturdy. 2. Late! Were told that they would call 15-30 minutes before scheduled arrival. No call. Showed up 15 minutes late. 3. One mover flirted with a girl in the parking lot even though there were boxes to be moved. 4. Office rep was not very kind and only apologized for the tardiness--not slow speed, ineffectiveness, or my dissatisfaction. 5. Movers were slow moving with no sense of urgency. In the past 3 moves I've had, movers were walking quickly, moving box to truck and then hustled back to the apartment to get another box. There was absolutely no hustle with these men. They milked the time. 6. When unloading, the men were so slow we just had them put all the boxes into one room (even though they were clearly marked) in an effort to save time. 7. A few wood tables and chairs were scratched in the move. 8. Men seemed to have no experience in taking apart the bed, which cost extra time. The men didn't even have power tools to take apart/rejoin the furniture. We offered ours, and they used ours. 9. Because of their slow speed, we opted to put a table back together on our own. Movers should move quickly and efficiently. This was a horrible experience. I believe the men you get determine the quality of the move--these two men were just not good: not fast, not cooperative with each other, not smart (1 box at a time, no dolly). A 2 bedroom apartment move should not take 5 hours. Both men SHOULD be working--not talking to girls in the parking lot, and not supervising where boxes go in the truck. Why am I paying 2 men to move when just 1 works? When I called the office, they made excuses and actually made up a story about something that did not happen. I will NEVER use BLM again, and I will make sure none of my friends do. The whole thing was a giant rip off. For the record, our 2 movers were L Less (who actually tried to move things) and R Shaw (who talked to the girl in the parking lot and didn't move much at all). Review of Big League Movers You will be taking a big risk if you use these movers. We had a terrible experience with Big League Movers. Many items were damaged including the kitchen table, a large mirror over the triple dresser, the outdoor patio umbrella, a chair leg, china cabinet leg, and two large antique pieces. Filing a claim to repair these items was a painfully slow and expensive process. Seven months after the move we still have issues. The movers refused to take our advice on packing an antique furniture piece. It was damaged and the doors will not shut properly. Months later their repair person said it could not be fixed. Then Big League Movers offered me an unrealistic low replacement value although I had purchased full value replacement. This rip off was repeated again for another valuable item. When the goods were being unloaded the movers only wanted to leave and rushed the job. So a bed blocked a closet door, the crew leader yelled at my wife who wanted a rug centered in a room. Then later when my wife asked about the broken mirror, the crew leader said "We are movers not fixers." They could not carry one item up the stairs or get it into a downstairs room so they left it in the garage. One bed was put together wrong--they could not wait to find the correct screws (that they had removed), put in other screws incorrectly so the bed is still messed up. The movers packed up and locked the trucks before we could look inside for any items that may have been left behind. We got so tired that we were just glad they left. We have moved several times and this was the worst experience we ever had. I am writing this review so you can avoid being a victim. read more

I just had an issue with movers and my insurance company and I was told I had to use Paul Davis Moving and Restoration and they were just terrible all around. Terrible. First, in fairness to Big League Movers , the storage unit they recommended- but did not own- had a leak in the roof so much of our belongings suffered water damage. Big League took pictures when they opened the locker and informed us of the damage. Let me also say that the moving crews were very polite on both sides. Let me also say that my wife and I have moved across the country nine times with about every major mover so we know what to expect from professional movers. This was simply the worse packing and moving experience we ever had. Things(I.e.) pictures which should have been crated were not....and we were not even asked before they were wrapped. There was excessive breakage in the carton themselves that had nothing to to with the water leaks. servpro, the largest national remediation company, was hired by us to go through every carton to check for water damage . The long time employees of Servpro who deal with moved goods for a living said: ""This was the worse packing job they had ever seen". On the Collierville side, we identified a few goods, including our suite cases , which we didn't want to be moved to storage. As there was no communication in the crew, they packed them and we had to go buy new clothes. I did stop by at the storage units( they recommended we get two units to accommodate our goods) 8 Months after we moved, and could hardly slide up the door as they jammed the goods in so much. Boxes were literally thrown on the top of the pile(high roof) as they miscalculated the space needed. Worse yet was the damage to the furniture caused during the moving process..above and beyond water damage. Huge rips in the back of leather couches which were clearly not wrapped when loaded, broken marble ( how do you break marble??) pedestals , wood shelving unit split apart, etc. On the unloading side, one of the unloaders was virtually dragging a barbecue unit on its little plastic wheels across 50 yards on unfinished landscape vs two guys lifting it until I stopped him.. Given the great experiences we had in the prior 9 moves with other major movers, and the high rating of Big League on Angie's list, we opted for insurance by the pound. Given the amount of non water damaged good caused by poor packing and moving, we wrote Big League and requested more compensation than the per pound insurance, we shared the commentary of the remediators at Serpro, pictures of damage clearly done by poor packing and moving, all to no avail. Look, I understand that sometimes packing crews just don't meet the standards of the company, but once these shortcoming are surfaced to management- especially one rated so high on Angie's, I'd expect a lot more than $150 dollars in compensation for over $3,000 in moving damage. You may see commentary back from Big League undermining the above, but trust me, this was just a lousy moving job. read more

If you use anyone else you are missing out. I've moved many times for work and just used Big League for a huge move from Memphis to Tampa. It could not have gone any better the guys were all super professional, on time, packed my entire house and moved it to Tampa without one item being damaged. They also moved my pool table and even re-felted it themselves! Wow! They seriously went the extra mile. Chose this company based on the discount through our real estate company, their availability, and time quoted to get us moved. Movers showed up 45 minutes late, then they were incredibly slow/lazy, so our actual cost was way more than anticipated. We had three movers, none of whom introduced themselves, wore masks, kept their distance, or followed any other COVID protocols. They left empty tape rolls and plastic moving wrap all over our old house (garbage cans were out, so it's not like there wasn't anywhere to throw waste away), complained about how much needed to be moved (we'd done a huge amount ourselves), and claimed our old couch couldn't be moved into our new house...which is odd because we were able to move it from the garage where they left it right into the house where we wanted with little effort. Dresser drawers would not open because the contents had shifted so much during their careless handling of our furniture. There's also now at least one knick on every piece of furniture we own. For us, it was a complete waste of money. read more

The booking went fine, but the day of the move (which was supposed to happen between 2-6 PM), I got a call at about 10 AM asking if I could start the move then. I couldn't. My target was 2 PM. They called back at about 1130 or so. I told them once again I was not going to be ready early to please come at two. At 12:40pm I got a text message saying that the movers would be there in 17 minutes. I called them and spoke to an operations manager. He said they had a crew waiting and if they didn't start early they might not finish. They were the ones that booked me for 2 to 6. If there's not a guarantee that you can finish, why would you schedule somebody for that time period? The guys did come at 1 o'clock. They actually were very nice. They worked and got things into the truck but at one point they said they couldn't get any more on the truck. I was shocked because I have a three room house and everything should have fit on there easily. They said come look at the truck. They said, all these little bins can only be stacked so high. So while the Truck was full from front to back, it was only full maybe halfway up. So now I have to go back over to my house and finish the move. The thing that is the most awful is that their general manager stood by what they did. He literally said he could find no place where they had broken their rules. I asked if they could go finish the move and he said yes but it will be a minimum three hour charge. Ridiculous. I paid more than $500 for a move that was not completed. My advice, don't use them. There are plenty of other movers that have way better reviews. I thought that I had seen a good review for them and Andy Wise is endorsing them. Pay no attention to Andy wise because he doesn't know what he's talking about. read more

After a $9000 company paid move, we are left making trips home to get the remainder of the stuff they left behind. My job had me get three quotes to move from North MS to Nashville. All three companies came back with a quote stating they needed 3 trucks to move our home. I had each add an extra truck just to be safe because my work was paying for it ONCE, and I didn't want to be paying anything out of my pocket. Big League had the best price and so we proceeded with the move using them. Colton came to the house and was very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Through the next week or so, we spoke several times to pay for the move, schedule, and then actually start the process of moving. The movers came to the house on June 6th to start moving. We spent the whole day at the house while they packed our home, to make sure we went over EVERYTHING that was to be moved. We were informed that cleaning chemicals, gasoline(lawnmower), etc. would need to be transported by us which wasn't a problem. Before leaving that night, we went back through the home to make sure they knew exactly what was coming to our new home and the movers were CERTAIN they got it all. The movers were supposed to arrive in Nashville the night of June 7th, however due to service needing to be done on their vehicle, they arrived after lunch on June 8th. When they began unloading they were doing an awesome job putting things where they were supposed to go(due to their labeling). The following day they came back to finish up, we noticed they had broken an antique makeup dresser from the early 1800's. They assured us it wouldn't be a problem to get it repaired. Then things started to unravel. They started just "throwing" stuff in the garage, putting stuff in just any room in the house, etc. Once gone, we started unpacking and began noticing things we were missing. So the weekend of the 11th we went back to our home in MS and found probably a dozen pickup truck loads of things they had left behind by their own choice. They didn't bring anything in the attic which was included in my $9000 quote. Afterwards, they tell me I owed more money on top of the $9000 quote because of extra packing supplies (which they included in the quote). I was also told that by 6/15 I would have someone call me from Big League to talk about the broken items which I have never received a phone call. I was greatly disappointed with the crew that this company sent to do my move. i had boxed all of my things and labeled them clearly. These kids were so concerned with rushing through the job that many of my personal items were misplaced. On top of all that, I was hit with a number of hidden charges that completely ate up my deposit. For example: a $70.00 "mileage fee" that does not appear on the final invoice that I signed but which i was told by a "manager" was automatic. I had a very hard time reaching someone to discuss my account. Turns out that there is,quoting the "manager" here,"No office location" where i can go and talk to someone. I am still waiting for anyone to return my calls about the fee dispute. read more

First of all I have used BLM three times in the past and turned them in onto several friends. I had a move this past month 10/27/2018. This was on a Saturday and the head guy called his manager because I was concerned about my TV's! He said no worries you would not have any problems since you have original pancaking and stuffing. I'm that guy I keep everything. Movers moved TV down the stairs BEFORE placing in box which was up stairs with the TV. None the less the TV was broken. $1000 65 inch 4K TV which was not a cheap purchase. This company offered me $27.00 that's right $27.00! How insulting. If the manager on the phone that day was that incompetent than he may not be a supervisor. I assure you this is unacceptable and completely insulting. I and my friends have spent tons of money with this company. Just a heads up BLM the only way to correct this is to replace my TV. This came from your managers mouth that you have no worries because you have proper packaging. I will keep everyone updates on here and all social media accounts. Not only did I pay for the move I gave each move $60.00 cash as a tip! All I can say is beware! I previously used Big League twice without issue, which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one. This time, however, I was shocked and disappointed. My mom and I were both moving one week apart. I was quoted 3 hours to move my items and my mom was quoted 7 hours, as she had much more to move. My move took place first and took over 7 hours!! I was charged more than double the quoted amount!!!! I was even charged for breaks the movers took and for extra time they took driving between houses because they missed their exit. My mom's move took place a week later and only took 4 hours. She was there during my move as well so she was easily able to compare the two crews. She said her movers worked much more quickly and efficiently, and did not take breaks. So disappointed. It was definitely not in my budget to be charged more than double what was quoted. I tried to call my original contact Dan at the company twice to complain and he did not return my calls. I will not be using these movers again. read more

I moved from Memphis to Germantown, TN, about 15 miles. When I received a quote, they told me it would be about 4-5 hour move for rate of $199 per hour for 4 men to move after going through inventory items versus 3 men at $159 for 6 hours so we decided 4 men to have a shorter time frame since cost is about the same. I had trouble getting a hold of them for couple days and even left a message for after hours answering service and no one called me back. The supervisor of the move called me the day before the move to go over the inventory listing again and when I asked about how long the move would be, he assured me it would still be about 4-5 hours, closer to 5 hours. On the day of the move, only 3 men showed up because someone didn't show up on their team. The team lead said they think it will be a 6 hour move and would reduce the rate back to $159 so they started moving. The move took over 8 hours so the quote was not accurate as it was over $300 more than the original quote. The movers at times would move one box at a time so it took a long time even though we assisted with the move by moving boxes closer to the door. It was also one of the men's first day of work. When we closed out the ticket, I voiced my concern that this cost more as they were short one person since it took them longer. They offered to give 10% off to compensate for the difference. The math still didn't work out the same but I figure since they tried to make it semi right, I accepted and moved on. After the movers left, my husband informed me that they did not complete the move as the movers ran out of room in the truck. They left 4 TVs, a bed, 2 tables, a chair and miscellaneous household items! They also didn't communicate this to me at the end or tell the manager of the move (not one of the movers). My husband had to go back 3 different times in his truck to move the remaining items by himself! They also broke a cabinet leg and an attic stair. I called the manager the following Monday to let him know that items weren't moved and he said he wasn't aware. He talked with the team and called back to tell me that they didn't know what they were thinking and was sorry. They didn't offer to go back to pick up the items left or refund us anything for the trouble. We hired movers so we didn't have to move and the move was not complete. While the movers were polite, I was very unhappy with how the move went and that Big League Movers didn't offer to go back to pick up the items that they left or refund us some money for our trouble. read more

I am very unsatisfied with Big League Movers. I've used them once before, and loved them. I thought I would get the same wonderful service a second time. I was wrong. Not only did they provide horrible service. It is almost nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone on the phone. I spent hours of my day calling them trying to get a hold of anyone, and when I do they tell me to call back later. When I finally do get a hold of someone. They don't know what their doing. They were suppose to reserve the moving date for me, and I would pay the deposit tomorrow when I got paid. When I FINALLY got a hold of someone to pay the deposit. They informed me no one saved my date, and that they would have to get all the information again. As the moving date finally arrived the disappointment continued. When the movers finally arrived they took their sweet time. Instead of actually working the two men spent most of their time outside talking and laughing with each other. Instead of taking 30 minutes for one small bedroom it took them an HOUR! The whole time they took their sweet time moving. Wait it gets better. When they finally finished they gave us our total. It would left us 100$ back on our card, but we wouldn't see that money until the hold on my card was released. Now its been two days and we still haven't gotten the hold taken off of my card. The man reassured the money back on Monday it's now Tuesday and we can't get a hold of anyone from Big league movers to address this problem. I will NEVER use this company again. Ever since their 'changes' everything went south. Their more about money than actually customer service. They are will never get my business again. read more

Used Big League Movers to relocate from Germantown to Hot Springs on 07/10/2018. The men showed up as scheduled and all seemed to be going well until they loaded a wrong piece of furniture they were instructed not to load as I was not moving it. I did not notice until they had loaded several additional pieces that they then had to unload to remove the piece. After that transpired their care and concern for my belongings seemed to deteriorate. They were unable to load everything on the truck they had quoted to move, and basically just said sorry. They left and were scheduled to off load the following day in Hot Springs. They arrived a bit earlier than scheduled and we arrived a few minutes later. Only one of the men that loaded the truck was on the truck with one additional new person. They commenced to off load and I started noticing some damage to the furniture. When they were finished I asked about the re-assembly of the beds and mirrors as that was included in my quote. The new man said they did not have any tools with them and would not be able to assemble the pieces. I then asked about the damage and he used a multi part form to list the damage and he and I signed the form. He then called his Operations Manager, Tim Richie, to discuss the damage and close out the move. I overheard him tell Mr. Richie that the furniture was not wrapped adequately is why there was a lot of damage. Mr. Richie told me he would call me back in two days to discuss the damage after he looked at the pictures his man had taken. I never heard from Mr. Richie, although the final payment charge hit my credit card the day of the off load. After a few days and two messages left for Mr. Richie, I then sent him and the salesman that quoted and sold the move an EMAIL expressing my dissatisfaction and frustration with their lack of communication. I then received an EMAIL saying I would hear from a Tina within 5 business days, which would be a full two weeks after the move was completed! When I heard from Tina I learned she was a 3rd party Big League uses to handle claims and it would take up to 120 days for resolution! What a crock, why should it take this long? It seems they simply want to delay and hope I will just go away. I can not recommend them, they do not seem customer oriented in the least. This company call Big League needs to go back to the minors ! They are a horrible company! I have moved 8 times in my life including across country 3 times and have never had the horrible experience that I bad with this company. This move was no less than a botched abortion. I had an estate sale before the move so most of my furniture was gone , however I have an extensive home gym that had to be moved. We were only moving about 3 miles away. After the house was surveyed,the salesman said that they move gyms all the time and they would have no problem disassembling, moving and assembling. First of all the packers were using only one sheet of paper to wrap fine china until my wife confronted them. The move was unsupervised since the two leads spent all their time trying to disassemble and reassemble the exercise equipment. There were a lot of things broken, missing, the crews sat in the back of the truck a lot of the time, they caused a water damage in my laundry room, and did not complete the move. They started at 8:30 am and quit at 2am the next morning since the 6 man, two truck crew was not managed. The exercise equipment was assembled incorrectly . I had to get an exercise company to correct the damage; including taking parts to a machine shop to remove wrong bolts that were seized . The company had me sign an exercise equipment dis-claimer for moving the equipment, but that does not cover the damage due to their gross negligence or incompetence. They broke several pieces of outdoor furniture, and several other items. While I went to get air movers due to the water damage, my wife had to get them back to work since they all stopped while I was away. Now they are not stepping up to the plate to take care of the problems caused by their incompetence. read more

I have used 3 local moving companies in the past and Big League is by far the best. They wrapped my furniture before moving and were careful to place my items "just so" on the truck. The movers were extremely nice and never complained moving everything up four flights of stairs. They even kept up their pace on those stairs. I would highly recommend. I calculated what I thought it would cost, but was really surprised when the final bill came in lower than expected. Great company with great employees! read more

I recently completed a very long and very stressful move to Texas. I ended up having to move my belongings into storage and out of storage into a uhaul truck before driving it down to texas. Long story short, it was a very stressful experience but Big League did an outstanding job. When we had the truck unloaded in Texas we used a different company down there and I kept thinking " Big League did such a better job". The guys are young and ripped and have no problem lifting ANYTHING and don't seem to tire easily. When they loaded my uhaul they packed everything nice and tight so that nothing moved around. They are excellent at tetris! My only complaint is that I had to call several times before I was able to speak to someone to get the move booked for the second job. Other than that, I would definitely recommend them, they are trustworthy, hardworking and professional movers. I've moved A LOT- big league is the best in Memphis!!! read more

Really bad management and movers came still drunk from the night before (they were hung over bad!) Movers didn't come prepared with Dolly's and it cost me a lot more than it should. From reading other reviews on here that seems to be standard. I gave them an option to make it right and they didn't. I'm going to stick with Two Men and a Truck in the future. Not a good experience. Bottom line, our "crew" was not listed in the meet the crew picture, one member of the crew moved one box at a time (without dolly) while the other crew member stayed outside somewhere, took totally too long, I ended up taking boxes to my own car to save time. Big League's team took all the worry and stress out of my move for me. They were friendly, professional, and efficient. Each item they moved was treated like it was my most valuable possession--care I certainly couldn't have possibly given myself. I appreciated that they came a few days early to inventory items to be moved and provided an extremely accurate estimate of the number of workers, trucks, and time required for my move. Big League's sales staff took time to review the contract and answered all my questions assuring that nothing unexpected happened during the course of my move. From the moment the team arrived on moving day until the last item was unwrapped and placed where I requested, they worked nonstop! I used this company in April 2013 to make local move in Memphis, TN. This was the worse move ever coming from someone who has moved at least 10 times including moves from multiple states. Pros 1. Flexible scheduling 2. Arrived on time 3. $25 Yelp discount 4. The two movers worked hard 5. Prompt response from management when complaints made Cons 1. Paid for 3 movers but only 2/3 movers actually moved items and brought them to the curb for the 3rd mover (i.e., crew leader, who stayed in the truck) to decide item placement. So 2 movers instead of 3. 2. Quoted price for 4 hours move time but took almost 8 hours (see con #1) even though I had two extra bodies help with unloading. Crew leader claimed that company did not give him an estimated move time. Claim to record telephone conversations but would not provide customer a copy of such recording or make arrangements for customer to otherwise hear recording. They claim not to include travel time in final price but they did include drive time. (Note: Management gave10% discount for gross underestimate of time so paid 40% instead of 50% over quote.) 3. Broke a table leg. (Note: Be sure to invest in extra coverage as I understand standard insurance plan pays 60 cents on the $1 for each pound of the item. Though I requested table be repaired they went with the $.60/$1 per lb option which of course is null for a less than 20 lb table.) 3. Stripped wood on bed frame when trying to reset up (see insurance coverage payment mentioned above) and could not reinstall bed because they lost parts. (Note: Furniture company reinstalled bed for $60 fee and moving company paid it.) 4. Unorganized move. They loaded truck first instead of POD (against my request) and POD was only 50% capacity full but they would not remove items from truck that could have went with POD because that meant they would have to unload and reload. 5. Unorganized unloading. They moved boxes inside first instead of furniture then had to rearrange boxes to accommodate room for furniture. Did not load boxes in correct rooms though boxes clearly marked by room designation. Needless to say, I do not recommend. If you brave the elements, please purchase the extra insurance coverage to replace damaged and/or broken items. read more

Ordered a Purple Mattress about 3 weeks ago. On Thursday July 5th I get a call from Big League Movers to have it delivered for Monday the 9th. They never showed up or called me to cancel. I called them they said they didn't even have to mattress yet and apologized and assured me that it wouldn't happen again. They called me again on Thursday the July 12th to set up delivery for today and when I asked if they were for sure going to deliver it the woman was very rude. I explained to her that I had already taken off work on Monday and they never showed and she snapped at me and said that of course they would deliver it that's why she was calling to set it up. So I took off work today and guess what! No Freaking Delivery No Freaking Phone call to let me know. I own a business and I would Never treat any of my customers with the disrespect they have treated me with. Whoever owns this business should be ashamed!!! HORRIBLE! Stay away from this company. I would give them no stars if possible. We hired them to pack our truck for a move cross country. We asked them up front if they had done very many moves like this. They said they had. They said only had one move cross country where goods were damaged. We liked the individual we met with from BLM (Big League Movers). We felt they were trustworthy and they really seemed on top of their game. Great upfront customer services. Long story short, we moved in July of 2014. Our load arrived to our new home and we had 15 major items damaged. Items included shelves, bed box springs, washer, dryer, office chair, couches, chaise lounge chair, dressers, night stands, patio furniture, dining room set, coffee table, and bar stools. We were sick as we supplied BLM with all of the moving supplies they ask for (moving blankets, straps with ratchet tie downs and J hooks, plastic wrap, etc.) They did not use all of the items they asked for us to supply. We reported damages to BLM. They asked us to go through their 3rd party claim settlement company. We did and after months of going back and forth the claims company offered us $182.00. This was the end of March 2015 that we finally got this offer. We did not accept it. Per the document we signed we should have received $1,096.80. Since the 3rd claim party would not give us the money due, we reached out to BLM directly to try to resolve the situation directly (keeping in mind, the damages were way more than $1,096.80. However, we understood the document we signed stated we would opted for $0.60 per lb insurance on damaged items). At first BLM would not return any of our calls or respond to any emails. We finally got the owner to respond to us. He said he would be happy to discuss the situation by phone. We followed up with him to confirm our phone call and he then decided he would not talk to us via the phone. So we took the situation to BBB. The case was closed without resolution as BLM would not respond. SO sad. Horrible customer service and integrity. Great service upfront until they got our money and now we are suffering from the poor job they did. read more

Damaged our yard with moving van in five places. A Lawn service was sent out for a damage claim.

I used this service over a year ago and the movers damage my sofa. One of the movers left an ink pencil in his shirt pocket and it leak all over my light blue loveseat and cushions. The three movers hid the cushions in my closet and place covers over my sofa so I could not see until they left. When I called management. They outsource my complaint to another company. The problem was never solve and I did not get any money for my sofa damages. A horrible company, please avoid my bad experience. read more

We needed to move my daughter from Memphis to TX in July. Hot in both places. I was not about to carry boxes and furniture from 2nd floor apt. I saw them on Groupon. My daughter had used them when she moved from Maryland to Memphis to take her stuff from a storage facility to her apt. She thought they were wonderful. I thought let's use them again. She was right ,they were WONDERFUL. We had them pack all her stuff in a horse trailer and they did an excellent job. They were done in less than an hour. Very polite, respectful ,young college age guys. They came with a task to be done and they worked and got it completed. No messing around. They had forgotten to bring matterss/boxspring covers but they called the office and someone brought them out but they continued to pack everything else till the plastic arrived. I would Highly recommend them for your moves. More cities need to have a good moving service like these guys. read more
