Don't even waste your time here. So a week ago I went to the store to buy a dresser. I walk in and go directly to the Furniture Department, I was waiting for assistance for 20 minutes finally I walk back to the front to speak to the cashier and she's with another customer I wait and look around as I'm waiting to find another employee but find no one. She then asks if I need help. I say, "yes, in the furniture department. I want to buy a dresser" the cashier says, "there's only two of us working and the guy went out for a delivery but he will be back." I think it's ridiculous there's only TWO employees working in the store but "OK" I said. So I waited for another 20 minutes finally the cashier finds me and tells me the other employee will be with me in 5 minutes ... I have to leave at this point, I was there for 40 minutes I tell her I will come back after work. Finally I get off from work and go back to Big Lost as soon as I walked in I go straight to the furniture department and I speak to another employee I ask her about the dresser that costs $179 (6drawers) and she says it's outta stock to come back Friday they get deliveries Fridays. I say "OK" and leave. Friday comes around and I go to the store again I speak to the same lady and she tells me the delivery was canceled to Saturday at 4 am. I leave then come back Saturday morning I speak to the SAME lady and she tells me she already sold the dressers that came in..... Now at this point I GIVE UP! I tell her "okay thanks anyways" but I'm furious at this point because I ran around trying to buy a simple dresser! So then I went to Goodwill and found a real wood dresser! (9 drawers) for $79! And I thought how Aweosme I save $100 bucks ... WELL it doesn't stop there! Turns out it was on CLEARANCE and it was $40 BUCKS! So much better than that dresser from Big Lost and as soon as I walk in I was able to buy the dresser (Yay!) plus THEIR customer service is great! At the end I learn two things.. 1) Dont ever go back to Big Lost 2) One mans trash is another mans treasure read more

We made a poor decision and bought furniture from Big Lots. Of course it fell apart. Here's the kicker, we bought the warranty and jumped through the hoops and were 'approved'. Big Lots has pretended to send Big Lots credit proof in the mail, 7 times. None were actually sent. 6 times we have had to have a long phone calls to get another one sent. It is a full scam by Big Lots and employees. I am creating a website to get others who have been scammed by Big Lots for a class action lawsuit. read more

Big thank you to Elsa in furniture department, I originally went in to purchase a bed frame but after many attempts to locate what they had in stock no luck they were completely out of the size I needed. I ended up purchasing a metal platform stand instead and had no idea how I was going to fit this box in my Honda but Elsa went above and beyond to make it fit comfortably. BIG LOTS give this girl a raise! She worked so hard for the hour I was there with multiple guests wanting to pick and purchase items , I can only imagine what she does everyday. read more

Had the best experience at Big Lots in Indio today. They had a patio set that I wanted to buy, I went in in the morning and they're delivering it today for only $80. The patio set sells elsewhere for $2000, & I bought it for less than $1000. Mike Betz, the assistant manager, assembled the whole thing for me, and arranged the delivery. My daughter received a toy purchased at this store as a gift, for the holidays. It was a toy crib. As it was a gift, I didn't have the receipt with me. The manager was extremely rude and abrupt about their policy, and refused to exchange any holiday gift without receipt. I've never experienced such poor customer service, my last time in their store. I can understand having a store policy, but the managers lack of professionalism is unforgivable. read more

I used to hate big lots but ever since this location got a new manager its like a different place. The store seems cleaner and it looks like there are big changes happening. They have tons of stuff and the prices are really good. I have to say that I will definitely be back, I will drive the extra 10 minutes because they are worth it. New management has really improved this location. I would definitely recommend shopping here. read more

My husband and I recently moved to Indio and needed to buy an affordable, comfortable couch. We decided to check Big Lots out since it is fairly inexpensive. We quickly choose a very comfortable couch and informed the employee of our choice. There was a sign next to all the couches saying "take home today," so we figured it wasn't going to be an issue. The employee came out to inform us that they didn't have the couch available. We asked if we could purchase the floor model and he quickly told us that we couldn't because they needed the floor model out to reflect what they normally have in stock. I was completely willing to pay full price for the model that multiple people sat on because we desperately needed something affordable yet comfortable. After he very rudely said no, we asked about a few other couches and none of the ones that we wanted were available. It didn't make sense to me that they had signs out there saying the couches were available to take home that same day but they were completely unwilling to sell us the floor model. That is absolutely false advertisement. I have been to other Big Lots in Orange County and have always had a pleasant experience, but after visiting the Indio location and being told I couldn't buy a couch they so willingly advertise as available I was completely put off from the entire company. read more
