This used to house the Peddlers Mall and other places. So the building is very old but the layout was nice and organized in my opinion. This store basically sells what other stores could not. They price everything regularly priced but you get an additional 40% at the register. They have just about everything, home appliances, clothing (Walmart clothing mostly), food, pet food, beauty products, you name it they most likely have it. I'm always on the look for a good bargain and I almost never leave empty handed. My recent visit, I snagged some Starbucks cups cheap. Just make sure you inspect your items carefully because some have damage and all sales are final. They have security here as well so shoplifters be aware. I definitely plan on coming back here again and again. This is the only Louisville location (so far) there is another one in Jeffersonville. I have not been there. I was amazed at the size of the store and the variety of items that they sell. During my entire walkthrough I kept saying to myself that it would be a great place from which to construct small git baskets for gift giving (e.g, nursing home residents, get well baskets, birthday, thank you, thinking of you, children's birthday party favors, Easter). There is literally something for everyone and I think it should be a go-to for parents!! The store was very organized, clean, and well-stocked. As with any discount store, one must watch prices to ensure they are inline or lower than other stores, and check the quality of items before purchasing. I'm sad I had only a few minutes to peruse, though I admit my eyes were huge the entire time. I saw so many things my kids especially would love. One of the reasons I finally ventured into a Five Below was that I needed some small gifts to give my daughter on behalf of my mom, who was sad she didn't send her some presents along with my son's birthday presents. (Grammas, ya know.) Anyway, I was able to find some Play-Doh for her and a Frozen coloring book, two of her favorite things, for a whopping $3. And the biggest reason I came there: I needed a Pokemon balloon for my son's birthday party! So many party stores have gone out of business, so character balloons have become somewhat hard to find. Well Five Below had one type of Pokemon balloon. I got that and a number balloon, had them both inflated, and was out of the door fast. I want to bring my kids here ... but I don't ... because I don't think they would ever be able to make up their minds on what small gifties to buy. Ah well, I'll just have to come back and have the fun for them. ;-P
