This is my first time ever leaving a review but I just had to-- these cookies far exceeded my expectations and were the most wonderful addition to my son's first birthday party! We had several challenging designs to fit his Masters themed birthday, but Maria knocked it out of the park. Thank you so much!
Cannot say enough about these delicious cookies! My daughter and I are shortbread cookie aficionados and also love a beautiful treat that tastes amazing! We ordered 8 dozen as favors for my daughters wedding! They were delicious and the guests raved over these cookies. My brother in law said it was the best cookie ever!Big Mama did a test batch for us so that we could narrow down the color of the icing and she accommodated all of our wishes! One of the highlights of the wedding - and the extra cookies froze well and were delicious weeks after. We will order these again (and again and again)
Maria is the absolute best. I am a repeat customer, I order from Maria every excuse I get. I've attached a few photos but every batch is tasty, unique, created with great detail, and packaged beautifully. Maria's response time is amazing. The payment process is thorough and easy. Pick up times are flexible. Every time I order, I attach a few photos and creative suggestions then I trust her wholeheartedly with the design. Contact her 4-6 weeks before your event OR as soon as possible because you NEED these at your event. I once placed 3 separate orders for the next 3 months at one time. Maria's cookies are a sure way to WOW your friends and family, and make the VIP person at your event feel so special!
Maria did a fantastic job on our baby shower cookies and cake pops! The artwork on both was so beautiful we didn't even want to eat them. It perfectly fit out fairy tale theme and made our name reveal special. Maria was professional, prompt, and detail-oriented throughout the process, and the pickup was very smooth. She also gave us a sample of her cookies and from that alone we knew she was a great choice. We would definitely work with her again and highly recommend!
I had placed an order with Maria for my sons third birthday way before the pandemic but decided to go ahead with the orders since we decided to mail out cookies as favors since we couldn't have an in person birthday. Maria was so amazing and professional and even accommodated an earlier date for pick up given the pandemic. The space birthday theme cookies came in individually packaged cellophane bags and was beautifully put together. Maria even came out with her mask on to hand deliver me the cookies when I arrived at her house! Maria's artistic skills are spectacular! My son was so so so so excited for see his birthday cookies. I can't wait to have Maria make cookies for our next event! The cookies made my sons day! Thank you Maria.
Maria is amazing!!! Her cookies look and taste sooooo good!! I couldn't be more happy with the service ( communicating was easy) and how they turned out. They were so beautifully packaged and came with an instructions card if you wanted to freeze them for a later time. I will definitely order from her again! read more

Maria is amazing and her cookies are so beautiful! we ordered a dozen for my daughter's second birthday! Maria made the cutest giraffes and zebras to match our jungle theme! Each cookie was individually wrapped and sealed, perfect to give out as party favors. We also got complimentary little dots which was so cute! :) read more

I took a chance on big mama's for my graduation party and everything came out even better than I could have imagined. I sent a few photos of vague ideas to go with my fiesta theme and Maria came through with these amazing cookies and cake. I high highly recommend! How does Maria not have more reviews??!?!?!?? Maria is amazing!!! I ordered cookies for my daughter's first birthday party and it was such a pleasure working with her from start to finish. She was very prompt in responding to my emails and even worked with me on my limited budget. I was impressed with the final product and so many of our guests were as well. I'm so happy with how the cookies turned out and I will for sure be using her again for future parties. SO HAPPY! Maria went *above and beyond* for my baby shower! These treats were not only BEAUTIFUL, but delicious! Here are the highlights: - Knew our theme was birds and butterflies, so she added little gold birds and butterflies to our cake pops, and extra little flower cookies to our take home treat. - Added extra charms (pink pins) to our take-home gift cookie bag to fit in the baby shower theme, SO cute! - She hand delivered the goodies and we got to show her our baby shower decorations and activity stations. Such a nice personal touch! - Sent a message the next day to thank us for our order and sending good wishes that the shower went well. The shower was fantastic, and everyone LOVED Maria's treats. Maria did a phenomenal job with my daughter's birthday cake and cookies! We had a cookies and canvas theme for the party. Maria made a cake that was like an oversized paint palette with paint brushes and tubes and the cookies were a mini paint palette. My daughters' guests loved them! The entire process with Maria was seamless. From the time I reached out to the day I picked up the goodies. She was always responsive. She already had a couple of orders when I reached out to her but she still made time to accommodate me--thank you Maria for the flexibility! Her prices were reasonable too! And I truly appreciate how sturdy and pretty yet functional the cake box and cookies wrappers were. I highly recommend Big Mama's! Great overall experience. read more

I found her listing via google search. At first I was hesitant to order but decided to do so anyway and boy was I pleasantly surprised. I orders 15 custom chocolate dipped Oreos for my birthday. Maria did exactly as I asked and the presentation is beyond amazing. The pics doesn't do it justice. She also gave me a chocolate cake pop.. Delish! Maria did the desserts for my baby shower and everything was perfect. I got so many compliments on the desserts and the guests were asking who made them. She was a joy to work with and very flexible and quick to respond. When we were doing out tasting, Maria came with a gorgeous basket full of goodies to try out as well as a few extra treats we didn't even order. I was looking for a custom cookie baker near the Dublin/San Ramon area that could do an order of Magic Mike theme (male torso with bow tie) cookies for a bridal shower and boy am I glad I found Bigmama! The cookies turn out so awesome! I received so many compliments at the party and the bride-to-be loved them. Maria from Bigmama was so easy to work with and had great ideas like making 3 different skin tones for the cookies and the packaging that the cookies came in were beautiful! I have ordered 3 cakes through big mama sugar cookies and they have all exceeded my expectations. She did my son's 1st birthday Mickey Mouse cake, a cake I purchased for my god daughter and just recently my son's 2nd birthday cake. All I did was give her my theme for Thomas the train this year and she created yet another masterpiece. She is professional, always on time and best of all the cakes were delicious. I even asked for a last minute request of 12 cupcakes and she added them on for me with no problems and made sure the colors matched the main cake. Definitely recommend and will be using her for all my future cakes. read more

I am with Caroline S. I can't say enough positive things about Maria. However, I hope all the positive words don't make her so busy she is not available for me. Yeah, selfish, I know. I knew immediately she was extrodinarily talented from looking at her work on her Facebook page. However, I couldn't tell how yummy all her items would be and how easy she would be to work with planning all the goodies for my son's birthday party. The cake especially was so adorable! I got so many compliments on everything she prepared. I will update my review with photos once I get them from the photographer. I added one casual one showing some of the cake but it does not do it justice. read more
