From my first call to the company to waving the team off when the job was completed, each interaction was cheerful, kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. On moving day, they showed up, bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, smiling, and ready to work. The team: Milo, Dragon, and Josip were incredibly helpful. Milo took one look at me, realized how flustered I was about everything, and took a minute to calm me down. Who does that??? He and his team worked efficiently and calmly. He even fixed a loose leg on a piece of furniture. Again, who does that?! So incredibly kind and helpful. There was a hiccup at the storage unit; we had an issue getting in, and they were patient and kind. Everything went off without any problems, minor or major. They were just, well, Magical! As for pricing, they were the only moving company that didn't charge predatory pricing. Magical Moving didn't charge me travel time, waiting time, or anything insane. Price-wise, they were extremely reasonable. Unlike the other moving companies I contacted. The other moving companies, once they understood it was a last-minute move, tripled their price, added travel time, wait time, everything. That was a nightmare. In the fall, she'll be moving into an apartment in Astoria. While we found a place to store her stuff, we couldn't figure out a way to get it from Manhattan to Astoria. On the flight in on Wednesday, we were coupled with quotes of over $1,000, or trying to navigate traffic, or multiple Ubers with a mattress and 11 boxes and a tv, or throwing it all in the trash. I sent a quote request on Wednesday. The responses and follow up were quick, thorough and easy to navigate through. By Thursday afternoon, we had a fantastic quote, a time scheduled and the COI required by her student housing. By Friday at 10:00 am, she was completely moved.
