I did not hire this company personally but my neighbors did and they seemed to do a great job. I was outside pulling bushes and plants that got ruined from the recent frost and they came over and helped just out of the kindness of their hearts. They even chipped them for me. I had a huge limb that came down in my yard so I called Big Mikes Tree Service. Big Mike came out and thoroughly discussed the job with me. He provided a wealth of knowledge on how to safely perform the job. He verbally walked me through the removal process which added to my understanding of what was necessary. He was very detailed and he also knows trees better than an arborist. When I did contract him to do the job, his crew was on time. They were also the friendliest group of guys I have ever experienced. One of the gentleman actually walked me through the best option I could take to repair a portion my fence. They helped me today at my mother's property, they attended to her needs, did some add ons, and fully cleaned all areas. They even checked in and made sure my mother was completely satisfied. DO NOT USE BIG MIKE'S "TREE SERVICE" Hurricane Irma knocked over a tree in our back yard, and it landed partially in our yard, and the neighbor's yard. Hurricane Irma happened mid September, and the tree was fully removed mid November! So much for quick and reliable service that the other reviews spoke of... Big Mike's crew would show up at the most inopportune times. At times, they would show up at 3pm, and work until 5; 4pm, and work until 4:30; 12pm, and work unitl 3; and even once on Sunday morning! NO PHONE CALLS to let us know when they would be showing up!!! The 'crew' consisted of random guys with no uniform at all. Not only would they 'store' their equipment in the back yard for a handful of days at a time (one of their trucks sat here so long, that I considered claiming it and tagging it for myself), but they would also leave their trash all over the back yard!! One person came out to gather branches in SANDALS!! They dumped out our recycling bin, and used it as a log hauler, and left it broken! The side of the fence they used to access the back yard was left severely damaged. Instead of rolling it up (it's a chain link fence), they decided to lay it down and drive all of their equipment over it for 7 weeks! Video below of the damage. I am very disappointed in Big Mike's Tree service. They came the same day I called BUT........I was quoted $28000 for one tree and they were not even going to remove the debris from the home. They wanted to remove my palm tree to make it easier for them and they wanted to dismantle my fence. They did not have a crane to use which is very necessary in this kind of business.I have pets and when the guys left after I gave them a big fat NO, they left the gate open. I had to track down my pets and luckily they were not injured. read more

Big Mike was the most expensive of 3 estimates I had received, but I picked him anyways because of the great reviews. We were scheduled for a 10AM Sunday. When I called him at 10:45 to check on the schedule, he tells me he decided to cancel because of the weather forecast. While I can understand that, I would have appreciated a call to reschedule so I could have made other plans. VERY inconsiderate and bad business practice. read more
