My cousins and I visited, walking in with high spirits. The crowd seemed friendly, and everything was going well until we asked for a tasting menu, which allowed us to choose the wines we wanted afterward. However, once we sat down, it got so busy. The owners were busy helping other guests and kind of forgot about us. I decided to skip the tasting, but it ended up taking about 30-40 minutes to complete, which was frustrating. It seemed they had family come in and other things going on, so the service was a bit slow. My cousins couldn't even order a glass because the tasting process took so long. Also, they really need some snacks--chips, cheese platters, fruit, anything to nibble on while waiting would help. Maybe some prepaid options or small bites to improve the experience. We left because we were hungry; otherwise, we would've stayed longer. They currently have a Groupon deal, so hopefully your experience is better than ours. Despite the service hiccups, the place has potential, and the vibe is nice, just needs some tweaks to make it more enjoyable.

The service is very personal here and the ambiance takes you back in time and you feel like you are enjoying a glass of wine in the old days. Their award winning wines are on display and available for taste. we shoes two sample of wine that had 5 different wines per sample. we spent over two hours talking with the owners and other patrons. everyone was pleasant and social. This made the wine taste even better!

We had an appointment in town and squeezed in a wine tasting beforehand. So glad that we tried Big Nose! Parking was a breeze. There is street parking and a little lot across the street that had tons. The tasting room itself was really cute and full of memorabilia. It's attached to a little hotel with a backyard area where you could take your wine or come back from one of their musical events. Seems like a perfect place to drink some wine under the stars. Also has a nice bathroom, which is sometimes hard to find while wine tasting! The wine itself was well worth the tasting price! Service was great. We were very well attended to without feeling smothered. Ended up taking a bottle of the Merlot and Cab home with us! And everything was wrapped so well. They honestly use the cutest tissue paper that I've ever seen. Perfect for gift giving. We'll definitely be back if we're in the area!

KID-FRIENDLY AND DOG-FRIENDLY! In Old Town Temecula! Roger was the best. And the place is so charming and relaxing. Can't wait to go back next time we are in the area.

I just stepped back in time and discovered the Big Nose Winery tasting room, another Old Town Temecula gem which I didn't even know existed! Roger Mattar, his wife Janice and son Matthew operate Big Nose Winery in the historic Hotel Temecula, built in 1882 to lodge riders on the newly completed Southern California railroad. Located on Main Street in the heart of Old Town (across from Pennypickle's Workshop), the property is so much more than what appears from the street. The outdoor area has plenty of seating and it was the perfect day to be out there. Big Nose is family and pet-friendly. Janice was an amazing and gracious host to our lively group, providing us with lots of historical info in addition to serving us wine. She checked on us frequently as we enjoyed our wine, a charcuterie board and taking lots of pics/vids around the outdoor gardens. Right out of the Wild West and as a reminder of how much history there is to be found in Old Town, behold the iconic Emigrant Office, built by the US Border Patrol after WWII and used into the 1970s. From what I've read, agents were on the lookout for any illegal liquor being transported through here during Prohibition! We were treated to a tour by Janice of some of the back rooms including the Ladies Parlor and a room housing the Temecula Post Office from 1887-1915 and the switchboard which once "Served Temecula Day and Night"! I'd definitely recommend checking out this Old Town Temecula gem.

All the wine was amazing. Roger who I believe is the owner was phenomenal and extremely friendly. I didn't have a bad pour of wine. The winery was amazingly set up and the decor was very old town. 10/10 recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Rodger is AMAZING !!! Did a wine tasting for $25 I had a party of 6 and we had a great time Rodger explained all the wines to us and went the extra mile to get us some chocolate to pair with there desert wine. We left with two bottles and a couple of big nose wine glasses. Also the spot is just a whole vibe and the owners are too sweet!

Where do I begin? I guess I should begin with Roger and Janice who own Big Nose Winery. They are one of the kindest couples that I've ever met. They are exquisite hosts serving up delicious wines. The grounds of the historic hotel Temecula are what you get to explore while sipping your wine. It is a lush and beautiful farm style garden packed with relics and antiques and even a couple of chickens. It's relaxing and peaceful like an oasis in the middle of old town Temecula. Next time you are in old town Temecula do not miss this beautiful and historic spot. You will return over and over once you do.

Wine tasting inside the beautiful historic hotel!

Last time I was here was probably 12 years ago, and WOW has this place changed. It's basically the Disneyland of wineries now! There's a mimosa station when you arrive, wine tastings in the main building, cabana-style seating on the lawn, and tables and chairs almost everywhere you look. They also have an onsite grille restaurant, wine clubs, tours, and the cutest little shop inside. The property itself is beautiful with tons of photo spots, vineyards you can stroll through, and even a little man-made lake that gives the whole place a whimsical feel. There's also a ballroom with a huge projector where we watched the World Cup game! And random but important... bathrooms everywhere. The dress code is super chill here! It was HOT when we visited, and I even saw guys walking around in flip-flops, so definitely dress comfortably for the weather. They even have a shuttle that picks you up and drops you off at the parking lot! It comes around about every 15 minutes, and tips are welcomed. Our shuttle driver told us Wilson Creek has a contract with Disneyland, where they sell their infamous Almond Champagne, and you can also find some of their champagnes at Ralph's! The staff were all super friendly! For tastings, you purchase a tasting card at the register and then belly up to the wine bar to choose your pours. You can also just grab a glass or bottle of wine, and they even have beers on tap! You can get married here, host an event, grab food, spend the day wine tasting, or just hang out and enjoy the property. It's seriously such a happening place and we can't wait to come back!

We wanted to purchase a bottle of white wine as a birthday gift for someone next week, but because it was such a hot day and we planned to be out for several more hours, we didn't want to purchase one that was already chilled. Ramon offered to get us an unchilled bottle from the tasting room, and when he returned, he had even taken the extra step of having it beautifully gift-wrapped for us! We hadn't asked him to do that, which made the gesture even more thoughtful. It's those little details
