I give it 4 stars due to the dealership manager and Javier. Wasn't fond of my sales guy. He wasn't very personable and didn't have a lot of good info but I test drove a couple of vehicles and decided on one. What I didn't like is that I was lured in with a wrong pricing online on the Porche. They do have a disclaimer but it wasn't corrected after knowing of the wrong price. Second, the price of my vehicle was 18-19k and they tacked on another $3800-$4000 on top of it due to some service subscription that Dave, my sales guy, said I couldn't remove bec the vehicle comes with it. Why didn't they just price the vehicle with the correct price? Seems unethical to me. I feel like I was being ripped off leaving there with the car. I believe in being a transparent sales person. I'm a realtor and disclosure in my business is VERY important, because we can be sued. Why isn't dealerships held to the same standards? read more

Quite the round trip only to find a sheet of disclaimers on the dashboard of the car we were interested in. It's like they didn't want to sell the car or they were saving it for someone else. What. I've had a couple of great experiences with Chapman. The longest of which included me replacing a window and getting my TLX tinted. They did an amazing job. They are friendly, they keep you notified as to what's taking place, the time that it takes is necessary even of long, but I never felt like I was sitting there alone for hours waiting to hear something. And this is just Chapman service. I never purchased a car from them. But I suppose it would be a very decent experience. read more

I just posted a review about a very disappointing sales experience at Chapman Acura and gave it 5 stars to see what responce it would get. And apparently no human reads them. It got a thank you and positive reply as you will see at the end. I guess it really shouldn't be a surprise. Now ll give it the 1 star it deserves and see if a real person reads it...... At the beginning of March I bought a used Audi, Q3 on a Friday. On Monday I went to Discount Tires to buy certificates for the tires that looked new on the Q3. They were happy to sell me the certificates because the tires looked new enough to do so. But upon inspection of the tires they found the front tires did not meet the load requirement for the Q3. The placard at the drivers door said a Load requirement of 100 was required, and the 2 front tires were 96. The speed rating was acceptable and the owners manual says to adhere to the info on the vehicle placard. Discount tires rep said they could not sell me the tires that were put on the vehicle due to the liability and that Arizona is very strict about the correct equipment being installed on vehicles. I called the sales manager and informed him of the issue and that I would return on Friday to show him and try to correct the issue. On Friday I met with the manager and took the Q3 to the Audi service dept.I asked him if I was buying a Porsche would he sell me one with the wrong tires ,and he immediately said that was different. A service rep came out and told me the tires were perfectly safe and met or exceeded the speed rating without even looking at the tires. I told him the issue was not the speed rating and to show me in writing what made the tires acceptable. The sales manager from Acura, immediately dismissed him and proceeded to insist the tires were absolutely safe and acceptable. I told him to show me that in writing . He replied by asking me " What do you want me to do?" I said I wanted the tires that should be on the car, put on the car. He immediately without hesitation responded that the sale was canceled. I said fine as long as my money was refunded no problem. I paid cash (check) $21,500.00 to include a 3 year warranty on the Q3. There was no attempt to correct the wrong tires on the car($250.00 ea.) or apology or explanation whatsoever. The salesman was dumbfounded about what happened, and truthfully was more upset than I was. The sales manager did me a big favor canceling the deal, as I would have had to deal with them again in the future with the waranty. Also Chapman insists on immediately installing 3 products on their used cars that drive the cost up over $1,000.00 over price of vehicle. 2 are antitheft related and the other has to do with accidents.I was able to get them to lower the price to their cost but it still added close to $1,000.00 to the final cost. It took a week to get a check from them and only because I called the GM at Acura otherwise I would have had to wait longer. What happend to the Q3 you might wonder. The weekend I took it back it was on in the front row behind the sidewalk with the same ,wrong tires on it that Sunday. I will never go back to Chapman for a new or used car in the future and I am telling all my friends what kind of sales practices they engage in. The salesman who helped me was went out of his way to make the sale happen as best as he could and I have no complaint about him. Beware if you buy a used car at Chapman dealerships. The car may not have the correct tires on it ,except for Porsches.
