We used to have all 5 of our vehicles taken care of by the Big O in Conifer till they put 2 different sized tires on our X type Jag. Doing that caused the transmission transfer case to break. Not only did it leave us stranded on the side of the road but cost $3,000 to repair. Big O owner admitted the damage was most likely done by the mistake in the tires but did not offer any reimbursement for the transfer case, just said sorry. This store is truly one you should stay away from. I have been a Long time customer and 3 strikes your out is how it goes with me. First they overcharged my wife when she went in alone only to profusely apologize when I went back up there the same day to point out the error. It was refunded but penalty #1. Then I was hard sold a set of tires I heard were below average in the snow. Every angle was used to talk me out of ordering (They didnt have the right size) the ones I really wanted to telling me the rep for the tires was amazing and would literally make any situation right; while telling me the other manufacturer I wanted rep was awful. Turns out I bought the tires they sold me and hated them. Penalty #2. Finally, 9 months later got a large screw in one tire and drove to the shop. I was told the tire was not repairable and I would need to buy 4 new tires. The reason was dry rot inside, turns out the tires were from 2012 (bought October 2014). They now we're saying I didn't want to try and fight with the rep and I would be out of a car for weeks while they sent the tire in to be analyzed (scare tactics). Anyway, after an exhaustive day I felt i had no other choice but to buy another set 9 months after new. AARGH! read more

Steer clear! I try hard to support our local businesses in Conifer. Unfortunately, after three pretty terrible experiences I can no longer patronize this business. First they reccommend tires for my truck that were the worst tires I have ever purchased, so I suffered through those, and then went back to get another set. When Adam saw the tires that I had on my truck, he immediately started telling me what a horrible tire they were, he was the one that reccomended them to me. They gave me a 'good' deal on my next set of tires, I took none of their advice when selecting this set. After checking my 'good' deal against other stores, it was pretty much just the market price. I have lost at least THREE hubcaps after visiting their shop for rotations. Always the day of or after they rotated them. When I called about them I was told how old my truck is and that hubcaps eventually wear out? So my hubcap stays on for 5000 miles, and then comes off less than 24 hours after rotating, and it is my hubcaps' fault. I asked them to order me a wheel for a spare tire, never happened. The last straw was when I had them do my brakes (I know, what was I thinking). It took them 3 days to do my brakes...and I got no where close to a nice new 'quality' brake job. Shortly after I got my truck back I noticed that they had not put a cotter pin through the axle nut. It was easy to notice because I didn't have any hubcaps on my truck! read more

Having been a long time customer at Big O Conifer, I am disappointed to say the service has deteriorated to the point where I can no longer go there. After spending nearly $1000 on a set of new tires they informed me that I had a bad tire sensor. After replacing the sensor they could not get it calibrated and my dash light was still on. I came back three times and was told to drive the car and it would reset itself. They offered no further solution. I went to a my regular mechanic and they replaced the sensor with a factory sensor made for my car and calibrated the sensors. I had to spend over $300 to fix what they had done. They did however refund the cost of the incompatible sensor. But after 3 trips to Big O with no relief and then a trip to my mechanic I am furious at the waste of time and money. Went in to have snow tires put on and the charge was suppose to be 16 dollars per tire, after they put them on the front counter guy, Jerrry says "I'm charging you 24.95 per tire because you didn't buy those tires here!". If you like being overcharged and treated like excrement this is your place. Good luck to you!!! read more

I went to this Big O to get my winter tires put on for the coming season. All seemed well until I drove to work the next day when I noticed a lot of vibration in my steering column. Went back to the same Big O the next day and had them look at the car. They stated to me that the mechanic had reinstalled several components incorrectly and he would need to remove them and install them correctly. No problem there. I was fine with that. What I wasn't fine with was being charged for them to fix their screw up. I ended up being charged an extra fee for an alignment that my car didnt need before they swapped my tires and should have been done before I picked it up initially. They stated that I would not be given my keys back unless I paid it, so I did. Mistake on my part, but I surely won't be back to this location and I recommend that you stay away as well. read more

Terrible place to go!! they made me feel terrible, the owner was very outspoken about his poiltical beliefs, which I understand free speech and agree with it, but when you are in your own business and say negative things about groups of people for the way they believe, not a good thing! I was your customer, I was there to do business with you, not to here about how you feel politicly!!! the things you sad about other political groups you dont agree with. makes me feel sad for you and the group you were praising so much! some things are left unsaid in your public business. on top of that your prices are outrageous!! not a very friendly place. read more

They quoted $62 to put on a set of new tires. Upon completion, they charged $102. Not the smartest way to stay in business in Conifer. They also had a rated R movie playing while my 6 year old son was present. read more

I always buy my tires from Discount tire or Mountain tires in Conifer but decided to get 6 new Goodyear tires from Big O tires in Aspen Park. $1800. later and first run on highway my truck was shaking so bad that my coffee was splashing out of my travel cup at speed. Brought my tires back for a rebalance and when I called to see if it was finished Jerry told my I needed new shocks and that the shocks on my truck were stock. I informed Jerry that my shocks were replaced 10,000 miles ago and they are adjustable Rancho shocks that I have set stiff in order to carry my heavy camper and pull trailers. He got nasty and told me he's been doing this for 45 years and hung up on me. Only thing I can think of is he wasn't happy that his guys had to do the balance a second time and he tried to make money by selling something I don't need. Sorry Jerry, but I've been working on cars, trucks, motorcycles and building off road competition vehicles from scratch with DOM tube for 40 years, so nice try but not everyone is as gullible as you would like! read more

I was reading some of the terrible reviews for this store and had to share 2 interactions I had with this store. Unfortunately, I usually do most of my business in Denver. It is usually more convenient and less expensive than Conifer. The first was around 3 years ago. My boys have electric motor bikes. One day one of them was flat. I suggested to my boys to walk over to the Big O and have them fix it. I gave them money for the repair. They came back to tell me that the shop doesn't work on those bike tires but did it anyway out of kindness and no charge! The boys were thrilled and I wanted to thank the store for it but to MY DISCREDIT, I never did. Recently, I noticed a slow leak in one of the tires on my car. I finally took it to Big O after putting it off so long. I told a gentleman at the desk whom was courteous, pleasant and professional my problem and left the car there. Within an hour I was called to pick up the now repaired vehicle. They fixed the leaking tire NO CHARGE and had a quote for new tires as I was needing them soon and I will go back if they can just get a little bit closer to other quotes for tires I have :) I haven't asked yet, I'll let you yelpers know. . Stay away! I am all about supporting local business in the Conifer area, but this one does not deserve your hard earned dollars. The owner seems to be the biggest problem. He is rude, rude, rude and condescending. Even the employees do not like him and speak very badly of him. You can feel the negativity the minute you walk in IF the owner is there. I have never left any reviews but couldn't ignore not giving a bad review to this Company. I had noticed I needed a front end alignment, thinking it would cost around 80 bucks, I took it here. After setting up an appointment, I show up to find out I needed a special part for a front end alignment on my vehicle, took an extra two days to get the part and was told I could keep it for future uses. On the day of the front end alignment, it had taken them 7 hours (promised 2-3). It ended up costing me 300+ dollars for a front end alignment and when I asked for the part they readily denied saying it was there property even though it was my money that purchased it! I bought two sets of tires from these guys. When it was time to buy a third set they refused to give me a credit for the fact that my 50,000 mile tires were worn out at 30,000 miles. The second strike was when I had them mount some ATV tires and after driving 20 miles home I noticed that they had mounted one of the tires backwards. Strike three happened last weekend. I had them mount my existing tires on some new wheels. They mounted three of the tires as before, with black letters out, and one of the tires with white letters out. So, now I must waste my time again to go back to Big O for them to fix their screw up. I live "up the mountain" and always try to patronize local businesses. But until or unless the Big O in Aspen Park comes under new management I will avoid it entirely. read more
